it really grinds on me how democrats have to keep saying "i know it's not the best speech/i know he messes up sometimes/i know it's not perfect" etc when it comes to literally anything that biden says.
the fact is that biden has a speech impediment. the way in the big year of 2024 everyone still has to actively fight against abelism is so disappointing. the way biden supporters have to 'get there first' and make it known that it's not a perfect sentence.. is so disappointing. the way democrats have to try and push the idea that people shouldn't be nitpicking the way it's said but what's actually said is disappointing.
it should be common sense to not care about a stutter. it doesn't make someone less intelligent or capable and it's not like biden or anyone else chooses to be in front of cameras 247, he has to be because if it's not constantly on tv or social media then everyone acts like it doesn't exist and makes up their own stories.

We learn shortcuts, to get us thinking from point A to point B. We begin, etching these thoughts, ideas, behaviors and reactions into solid pathways. But we've also proven that, new pathways can do the old functions. Like relearning to walk after a stroke. It's difficult because your brain wants to go to the old, solidified, tried and true pathway. People do create new pathways for thinking, functioning, talking, etc . Not too sure about memories, but short term memory can be improved, if not dramatically. 😁
