I hope that they stay safe and no one rats on them. One of the officers from Jan.6 said something about Trump, and his mother got her hope swatted. Trump's Cult would like nothing better than to cause harm to a member of a jury, to send fear into those having to serve on Trump's other trials. Judge Cannon refused to put a gag order on the trial she is running. Trump has already had others do his dirty work for him, to get around the gag order on this last trial.
They're much bigger Patriots than Trump's Jan. 6 scum. That's for sure. That jury and Judge Merchan make me feel proud to be an American again.
They absolutely are. Some of them even voted for Trump previously, so it was great to see that some people have had the spell broke enough that they can look at evidence objectively enough to make hard choices.
Anyway. Fights not over. Vote blue in November!!

Imagine for a moment what our country would be like if all politicians took their job and oaths as seriously as these 12 random citizens.
Not only politician, also the SUOFTUS.
Maybe part of the reason the jurists took their job seriously is BECAUSE it is (for all practical intents/purposes) a one-time job, after which they go back to their usual lives.
The one time job of a lifetime. They're a part of history now.
To be a GOP politician you have to be OK with climate change denial. That limits candidates to the least suitable people.
I hope they can go back to their usual lives. Crazy people will be trying to find out who they are.

I haven't been this proud of my country since we elected Barack Obama President.
It was pretty exciting when President Biden got elected. I was in a store when the news broke, people ran out in the street and were dancing and singing. It was truly a great day. Today is one of those!

Still not likely. Probably a substantial fine. Maybe, but unlikely, a prohibition against running for office in the State of New York - but does that really matter? There was no way he was going to win New York in any scenario.
Realistically he’s a first time offender, and it’s a white collar crime. At best, “jail time,” will be a weekend at the country club with a fancy anklet.
Not that I don’t think he belongs in jail, I’m confident Georgia is gonna get him and fix that.
