Some great games on this list. Kelp is fantastic, simple to learn, but plenty of depth. Ironwood is a little more crunchy, but still a pretty quick teach. The one game that is now my favorite two player game of ALL TIME is Pagan....such a cat and mouse game...love everything about it.
Thank you so much for the enthusiastic way that you introduce the various games. We were recently introduced by visiting family to Cargo Noir. Really enjoyed the game, especially for the fact that there was no dice involved and strategy played a major role. Is there any very similar two-player game that you can recommend?
Loved this list! A hidden gem I found at Essen this your is magic number eleven. It is a soccer card game but very easy, fun, fast and lots of dept. If you can ever get a hold of it buy it. It is an Asian game.
