Kendall of no bs traps says just Wax the dog that's All he does I use K9 Jr and extreme and not had the Wax come off even with many catches might have to clean the dirt off but different ways to do it so good to see someone showing different ways with this awesome trap
It varies from trap to trap but the last couple dozen wire lever models I got all seem to be around 3 pounds so i stiffen them up a bit. I like a good bit of pan tension myself.

I have some canine extreme traps. What you showed works. I done it to mine last year. Great video!!
I adjust mine in a jig similar to what SeldomFales uses. Makes adjusting tension easy and repeatable.

if the pans are factory set low, how to i bring them up to level?
Loosening the pan bracket bolt and adjusting the the bracket forward will raise your pan up to a level position.
Great informative Video Hammer… Question,, I run Kendals No BS,, did you change out your bolts and nuts or are they factory???
Most are factory. Some I swamped out for hex heads.
