This too shall pass! When I have anxiety I like to journal and get it all out and writing it down gives me the chance to release it, I can write down my emotions, all my thoughts and opinions, and I feel better. It pours out of my pen into a private, safe place and if I want to I can rip it out of my journal and throw it away and that’s closure to me. I feel your frustration and I’m right here with you.

Fellow nurse here. I’m so sorry this is happening. You said something that caught my attention. You were talking about “not feeling like yourself” and the agitation. I can remember several years ago feeling like this for no apparent reason. I wanted to crawl out of my own skin. I just want to throw out, while you have every reason in the world to feel like this, consider that there may be a hormonal reason for this. I am “of a certain age” and I’m full in the hot flashes, but I think it all probably started around the time that I wanted to crawl out of my skin on a cycle. Just a thought. I love your channel. Thank you for the work you do on UA-cam and in regular life. Few people can appreciate what you go through in those 12 hours shifts in regular life ❤
For me decluttering items that I nor longer use, need, or loved has made a large impact. I also figured out that having a clean/tidy home, spending time cooking, & yoga 1st thing in the morning all relieves my stress & anxiety. Having a morning routine also helps. Still a work in progress as I keep falling of track with that one but motivated to get to the 5am rise and shine of meditate, yoga, journal - I want to start my days peacefully, my heart full of joy and enthusiasm for the day ahead.
Feeling stuck like I can't move is my go to reaction. I just recently learned that moving and decluttering is the best thing for my brain. I'm still learning and practicing this. Everything you said resonates. Thank you!

I am a nurse as well but retired. I worked on a post-surgical floor outside of Boston. Now living in the South. I am an extremely organized person since I was a kid. After Halloween I had deep cleaned my house then right after that I had put up my Christmas decorations inside and out. I feel I am already over all this Holiday. I just want to take it all down and clean. So, what I have decided to do was start to reorganize all my closets, draws, kitchen and bathroom. I am doing my pantry on Monday. That will feel my need to clean, and my level of anxiety will diminish. Next year I will start to put out my holiday decor in December and not the first week of November. Love your videos.
For me I know when I clean it’s something I can control. When things get frustrating, cleaning and tidying makes me feel so much better. Sending good energy to get your channel issues fixed. ❤
When I am anxious, I use my timer. 2 minutes walking around my main floor, and 2 minutes working. This helps me a lot. I listen to podcasts or UA-cam and before I know it, my place looks better and so does my Fitbit 😂. After a while, I make tea and go sit under a blanket on the couch and read.
These are great strategies for dealing with big feelings. I am a kindergarten teacher and mom of 3 but also a minimalist and keeping my home, schedule, classroom, and life clutter free is LIFE CHANGING! Blessings to you and your family.

It is true I grew up with a mother who will not get rid of things and that has impacted me. I have been procrastinating for weeks now on cleaning off my kitchen table and cleaning out my pantry. Oh. My. Goodness. This hit so hard today. I've been home on medical leave for a lot longer than expected. And it sucks. And I'm sad and frustrated. When you talked about environmental clutter, that makes sense to me. To, too, like cleaning the kitchen because the hot water is calming. I like baths for the same reason.

You have every right to be wound up over this. I'm wound up about having to pack up my office AND a room full of book baskets. I just don't see much hope if help this week. I have 5 days but my right hand is still healing from a TFCC injury and I'm agitated. I'm baking cookies and trying to relieve stress. And trying not to eat them. I use to get so attached to things, at times I still do if it was handed down or was given as a gift. I use a little journal book called Throw It Away by Guru Notebooks, helps me think through whether or not I really want the item still and why I believe I want it.

We went on vacation near where my mom lives and the clutter there was depressing! When I have visited in the past, I try to help her declutter or clean, but she has a fit, but it looks like there was a HUGE difference made (and this is during my vacation time). So when we got to her house last week, I was so shocked that the house looks just as bad and then some even though she says she is getting rid of stuff. We had to cut our vacation short because it was too much for me.
That’s hard… Keep your sanity by limiting your time was a good idea. Also, it probably is a good idea so that you can maintain a good relationship with your mom too.

My home definitely was this for me. I didn’t just declutter but came to the realization that pictures on the wall that weren’t super-super simplistic heightened my anxiety. Colors are HUGE trigger for my anxiety. Knowing that has helped me declutter and prevent unnecessary shopping. Color triggers gotta go.
With me it was black frames on the walls, and print curtains. It was too much stimuli for my mind to process. Once i took care of those my rooms feel much more peaceful.
@@JaneH3675 Kindred spirit, I hear you. ;). I removed ALL curtains in my home. I opted for black out shades in my bedroom. I used removable vinyl texture on my living room windows. The kind you cut to fit, spritz water on and presto, light in, no peeking.
Does remind me of a time in my previous house where new neighbours had an all night party. Even though I had no sleep and everything was telling me to stay in I went on walk and did take about 4 miles/6 km before I started to get my sanity back. Hope you're situation is being rectified.❤❤
It’s okay to let adds play and it’s okay to click on the links if there’s something that interests you. It’s also okay to skip adds. The problem is if someone (or a computer program designed to look like someone…) clicks on multiple adds as it looks like someone (they suspect me…?) is trying to create this “invalid traffic” to make more money for the channel. Thanks for your comment and tou can do what you want around adds (skip or watch).
When I'm stressed I find that working on quilt projects helps but right now my sewing room is cluttered because I've had a week and a half of activities and it's become a dumping ground. Gotta get that back in order pronto.

Just kind of weird things. I like to go outside and declutter when I'm feeling stressed. I use to want to eat chocolate then but changing that reaction
Recycling confuses me too kid. Our company keeps changing what they take. They used to take glass and cardboard and now they don't. But my mom's takes cardboard. But not certain plastic numbers. 🤷♀️

Can't say I've had this happen on any of your videos but lately my phone has been hyper sensitive. I start a youtube video and put my phone in my pocket so I can get work done and it immediately stops playing because it clicked on an ad. Start a video and toss my phone on my bed and the blanket has clicked on an ad. It has even gotten to the point where my phone is trying to send "thanks" on youtube videos without my actual interaction. 😅
I tend to freeze when I'm overwhelmed which as you said doesn't help. Ive been so stressed lately but I tackled a small corner of the basement last night , 4 boxes and 2 garbage bags gone.
I'll sometimes let ads play instead of skipping them because I heard that helps with a bit of revenue but I didn't know that clicking on ads helped content creators too. The worst part is being left in the dark about why this actually happened and the thought that someone might be sabotaging you. That's cray-cray. A tie for the worst part has to also be that you are totally innocent in all this and being penalized for reasons outside of your control. This is a UA-cam problem and not a you problem so, if they don't want bots or whatever doing this stuff, they need to find a way to fix their issue.
UA-cam is hot mess these days. I think many creators are noticing problems. I hope they get better soon. I only get recommended the same handful of mega creators over and over so I gave up since I have to say no thanks to the same ones over and over. They seem to have forgotten how to recommend videos I care about or even related. Rage cleaning is the best kind!
My daughter even told me she thought cleaning was my stress release. I started as a child because my mother would not criticize me if I was cleaning. Also, I think this may be seen more in women than in men since historically cleaning was considered women's work (or at least my family).
so frustrating! i had no idea how youtube worked. i rage clean all the time. i am in a situation where other person is not on the same page re even of tidiness yet gets so frustrated when he can't find stuff. so i can only control my stuff and space; started closing door to 2nd bedroom that is a storage area, sadly he started using the doorknobs for hanging clothes - closet is packed - new things in and nothing out. long story but at least this isn't my permanent home - i think the only way i get through it seriously when i moved in, he had one pair of scissors for a 2 level plus basement house. top level and he would go all the way to basement to get scissors. dude, scissors are cheap - a pair for each level and they live there.
I skip the ads. My environment needs to change. Too much clutter. I have some time coming up off work. I wanted to do some over Thanksgiving, but my sinuses had other ideas and I was couch bound most of that time. I live with 3 other people and they are sometimes oblivious or don't care. I am going to focus on my clutter. Half the time I am so overwhelmed, I don't do anything. I make cards and haven't felt like doing that cause I dong have a designated space. We have lived in this house for 2 years. Sometimes cleaning is too much and don't want to do that. I am getting some stuff out today. I workout 3 times a week.
Robin. I feel frustrated for you. Here is my thought.... what would happen if you didn't have ads (for a moment)? Wouldn't that be a true test as to what could be going on? Wouldn't that at least rule out what YT is telling you?
They suspect that I am creating an exaggerated version of the number of people watching my videos (& clicking on adds), so they are essentially “fining” me by deducting the add revenue that would normally come to me as they believe it to be “false” for these “invalid trafic” views. Crazy…

UA-cam is hot mess these days. I think many creators are noticing problems. I hope they get better soon. I only get recommended the same handful of mega creators over and over so I gave up since I have to say no thanks to the same ones over and over. They seem to have forgotten how to recommend videos I care about or even related. Rage cleaning is the best kind!

My daughter even told me she thought cleaning was my stress release. I started as a child because my mother would not criticize me if I was cleaning. Also, I think this may be seen more in women than in men since historically cleaning was considered women's work (or at least my family).

I think rage cleaning is VERY therapeutic. You can pour your energy into something you CAN control.
If it’s kind of cathartic, yes! 👍🏼 I don’t recommend rage cleaning to get rid of stress around cleaning though…

so frustrating! i had no idea how youtube worked. i rage clean all the time. i am in a situation where other person is not on the same page re
even of tidiness yet gets so frustrated when he can't find stuff. so i can only control my stuff and space; started closing door to 2nd bedroom that is a storage area, sadly he started using the doorknobs for hanging clothes - closet is packed - new things in and nothing out. long story but at least this isn't my permanent home - i think the only way i get through it
seriously when i moved in, he had one pair of scissors for a 2 level plus basement house. top level and he would go all the way to basement to get scissors. dude, scissors are cheap - a pair for each level and they live there.

I skip the ads. My environment needs to change. Too much clutter. I have some time coming up off work. I wanted to do some over Thanksgiving, but my sinuses had other ideas and I was couch bound most of that time. I live with 3 other people and they are sometimes oblivious or don't care. I am going to focus on my clutter. Half the time I am so overwhelmed, I don't do anything. I make cards and haven't felt like doing that cause I dong have a designated space. We have lived in this house for 2 years. Sometimes cleaning is too much and don't want to do that. I am getting some stuff out today. I workout 3 times a week.

Robin. I feel frustrated for you. Here is my thought.... what would happen if you didn't have ads (for a moment)? Wouldn't that be a true test as to what could be going on? Wouldn't that at least rule out what YT is telling you?

They suspect that I am creating an exaggerated version of the number of people watching my videos (& clicking on adds), so they are essentially “fining” me by deducting the add revenue that would normally come to me as they believe it to be “false” for these “invalid trafic” views. Crazy…
