You need to get your battery replaced bad. That’s not normal, mine used to do that then we got the battery replaced and it works fore quite a few hours
Yeah I could never buy that phone with that battery in it. I still have my HTC One A9 that tended to have similar results. Sometimes had to charge it twice in a day. Never again.
Don't buy it! We spend more times warching UA-cam now because of lockdown.. and the SE will need recharging frequently. Remind me of old days when every iPhone users need to bring their power bank!

That's cause you gotta change your battery. Its not the phones fault. I also have a iPhone 6s Plus and the battery life wasn't good because I had a damaged battery(this happens to all phones one day). I changed the battery at the apple store and the battery life is a beast!

My 2 years old SE with battery condition 87% (due to many overheatings and magnetic holders) doesn't drain the battery as fast when being worked on (about 4-5 hours on similar test, could have had lower brightness, that drains battery a lot) and has a 0,533% per hour battery consumption when on complete idle (no screen, wifi connected, location on)

Difference between 90hz and 60 Hz on my pixel 4xl is notable, probably between one and two hours, depending on the usage of course as this one is adaptable (won't run at 90 when your are not doing content that actually supports it for example). Based on that I imagine it would be a very big difference between 60 and 120, especially if Samsung doesn't use adaptive application of the higher refresh rate. Tbh I'd keep it at 60 for the extra hours of battery life, 120 or 90 is nice but not worth the strain on the battery and the subsequent quicker deterioration.

i bought a $40 relatively slim battery case that fast charges and protects the SE, for a total of about 4600 mh. It works and its such a small phone that having a battery case on it isn't terrible. 100% not the OPTIMAL solution but i just wanted air drop and an upgrade from my iphone 7 lol. The extra $40 really isnt bad at all when you factor in protection and a low initial cost (relatively speaking), honestly.

I been using SE for weeks now and I never really need to charge from moment I wake up and till go to sleep. I listen to music while working, watch videos, game, social media and messaging all day long and get around 6-7 hours of screen time. SE battery is really an issue only if you're a heavy gamer, but then SE sucks for gaming too so....
Funny that you say that, because actually for having experienced it myself with my old iPhone 6S (and current 7), opening the camera app (even for a short time) just eat the battery away and after testing multiple time, I concluded that if you let the app running in the background, it drain the battery considerably faster even if you're not using the camera at all. That might very well be a bug and I never considered sending to Apple 'cause I though that it would have been fix by now, but it hasn't. It's like that since iOS 10, so it's been a while, but I'm too lazy to even bother reporting it, and I can just kill the app manually once I'm done with it to prevent that form happening. #RIP everyone iPhone battery that don't know this bug exist. lol PS: It's really at 2:18 that you can see the battery drop like crazy.

The s20 only barely losing to the iphone 11 pro despite having a 120hz screen and the less efficient of the versions chips is pretty amazing. Thanks for the comparison, really puts the complaints into perspective. Worse then the SD for sure, but still one of the best.
The chip isn’t the issue, if you noticed the 11 pro has a slightly smaller battery than the 11 with the same chip but still gets noticeable better battery life smh. The SE’s problem is the battery size not the chip

Not true, on the few days that i need REALLY good battery life (like traveling, or some other reason to be away from a charger) i reduce the refresh rate on my OnePlus 7 Pro... It would be nice to know what is the best battery life i could get out of a S20U...
Why,it has fast charging, you can get a battery case. It’s an amazing phone. I love one. You use it as a laptop if you hook it up to a monitor. If you customise it by turning off notifications etc, I can get 6 hours on screen time. Facebook is a killer on battery life.

ravi Gupta you only have to look at the size of the battery to know it’ll be shit. No level of optimisation is gonna be enough for a battery that small. At least bloody make it 2500mah. I’m positive that after two years you’ll need to replace this directly with Apple. They’ll make a killing out of servicing costs.
I have been using the iPhone SE2 for 3 months now, and average state of its battery at 21:00 h after being disconnected from the charger at 8:00 (so 13 hours) is around 50%. I browse facebook a lot, browse instagram, general internet, send and receive messages, e-mails, taking photos and videos and sending them, watching netflix, listening to music, talking on the phone. Of course, that's all during my workday. On weekends it loses energy even slower. Battery health 100%. I guess it takes 4 hours of screen time to drive it to 0%, and not normal use.
Wow One Plus 8 battery did improved so much from the previous video, where the SOT was around 6 hrs 20 mins and now it is 7 hrs 55 mins . Such a massive improvement is this even possible ?🤔🤔🤔

The actual battery capacity of the SE (1,821 mah) is less than half of the capacity of the Galaxy S20 (4,000 mah) so it's obviously not gonna last as long. How is it a "rip off"? I have an Iphone 8 which is a lot like the SE and the battery lasts about 2 hours of usage on almost minimum brightness, low power mode, and no Bluetooth. This test is just made me want a Oneplus even more.
Well yeah, it has the largest battery by far, and that 90hz is dynamic. If the app doesn't support it, it defaults to 60hz, so a large portion of this test it was at 60.
I'm using SE for a month or so, and believe me it not that bad as it had shown here. SE gives me 5:30hrs of consistent sot, it includes 2hrs of UA-cam playback, 1:30hrs of gaming and remaining hrs of SNS, which is mind boggling. If you don't plan to use a phone for 5 straight hrs for gaming, then it's just the best option a money can buy. I diched my Android btw.

I just got the new iPhone se and personally I don’t think that the battery life is that bad I spend a lot of my day on it for social media, entertainment, and other things and I might charge it again but it’s not a hassle for me. I have a lot of big storage apps and I think that the battery is good. I was hesitant of getting it in the first place but I’m very happy with the phone. My daily average is about 7 hours and i use it for almost everything. It also charges really quickly so although it might lose battery quicker it also charges quickly. Obviously we all have different perspectives on what a quick battery losing phone is depending on what phones we have had before but I switched from a Samsung and I prefer the battery life on this, to be fair my old Samsung was old but for me I can see a big difference in the battery. Someone who maybe has switched from having a newer Apple phone might think that the se has a worse battery life but that’s your opinion. I don’t have any gaming apps on my phone so I can’t tell you about what it is like to game on it but I have heard that it’s not a phone to be gaming hard on. I hope that this helps you with deciding if you want to get it. Also I probably have much lower expectations so you really need to do some research about it
Its basicly the same as 6 or 7. Apple had really really small batteries then and it was a major flaw..this is nothing but exactly that with an underclocked A13. They got the battery right with iphone Xr and 11's. 8 was good but it was rather similar to this.
It’s in the exact shell of the iPhone 8, so they realistically probably couldn’t fit a larger battery in that frame. Especially since they’re kinda pick n choosing bin parts to put this thing together for 399. Still, that is absolute SHIT battery life. I have a 7 Plus, and I had the original SE. I was considering upgrading to the flashy red SE, but I’m not about to have another “battery anxiety” phone. I think people forget that smaller iPhones before the XR always had shit batteries between the 1600 and 1800s. That’s why I go with the Plus models. I think they’re cumbersome and a little too big, but an almost 3000mAh battery is worth it IMO.
Iphone se was launched with the release of iphone 12 mini and price hiked iphone 12 in mind. To force to think customers that they are getting something at that price point. Adding to this, iphone se is the first ever phone that has not been included in Apple's trade in program while upgrading. It means, you cannot exchange an iphone SE for buying another apple product. Charging brick and ear pod were removed but price was not reduced. Refresh rate remained the same. It is clear.

i bought a $40 relatively slim battery case that fast charges and protects the SE, for a total of about 4600 mh. It works and its such a small phone that having a battery case on it isn't terrible. 100% not the OPTIMAL solution but i just wanted air drop and an upgrade from my iphone 7 lol.
The extra $40 really isnt bad at all when you factor in protection and a low initial cost (relatively speaking), honestly.

Funny that you say that, because actually for having experienced it myself with my old iPhone 6S (and current 7), opening the camera app (even for a short time) just eat the battery away and after testing multiple time, I concluded that if you let the app running in the background, it drain the battery considerably faster even if you're not using the camera at all.
That might very well be a bug and I never considered sending to Apple 'cause I though that it would have been fix by now, but it hasn't. It's like that since iOS 10, so it's been a while, but I'm too lazy to even bother reporting it, and I can just kill the app manually once I'm done with it to prevent that form happening.

What purpose
I have been using the iPhone SE2 for 3 months now, and average state of its battery at 21:00 h after being disconnected from the charger at 8:00 (so 13 hours) is around 50%. I browse facebook a lot, browse instagram, general internet, send and receive messages, e-mails, taking photos and videos and sending them, watching netflix, listening to music, talking on the phone. Of course, that's all during my workday. On weekends it loses energy even slower. Battery health 100%. I guess it takes 4 hours of screen time to drive it to 0%, and not normal use.
Wow One Plus 8 battery did improved so much from the previous video, where the SOT was around 6 hrs 20 mins and now it is 7 hrs 55 mins . Such a massive improvement is this even possible ?🤔🤔🤔

I have an Iphone 8 which is a lot like the SE and the battery lasts about 2 hours of usage on almost minimum brightness, low power mode, and no Bluetooth. This test is just made me want a Oneplus even more.

I'm using SE for a month or so, and believe me it not that bad as it had shown here. SE gives me 5:30hrs of consistent sot, it includes 2hrs of UA-cam playback, 1:30hrs of gaming and remaining hrs of SNS, which is mind boggling. If you don't plan to use a phone for 5 straight hrs for gaming, then it's just the best option a money can buy. I diched my Android btw.

I just got the new iPhone se and personally I don’t think that the battery life is that bad I spend a lot of my day on it for social media, entertainment, and other things and I might charge it again but it’s not a hassle for me. I have a lot of big storage apps and I think that the battery is good. I was hesitant of getting it in the first place but I’m very happy with the phone. My daily average is about 7 hours and i use it for almost everything. It also charges really quickly so although it might lose battery quicker it also charges quickly. Obviously we all have different perspectives on what a quick battery losing phone is depending on what phones we have had before but I switched from a Samsung and I prefer the battery life on this, to be fair my old Samsung was old but for me I can see a big difference in the battery. Someone who maybe has switched from having a newer Apple phone might think that the se has a worse battery life but that’s your opinion. I don’t have any gaming apps on my phone so I can’t tell you about what it is like to game on it but I have heard that it’s not a phone to be gaming hard on. I hope that this helps you with deciding if you want to get it. Also I probably have much lower expectations so you really need to do some research about it

It’s in the exact shell of the iPhone 8, so they realistically probably couldn’t fit a larger battery in that frame. Especially since they’re kinda pick n choosing bin parts to put this thing together for 399. Still, that is absolute SHIT battery life.
I have a 7 Plus, and I had the original SE. I was considering upgrading to the flashy red SE, but I’m not about to have another “battery anxiety” phone.
I think people forget that smaller iPhones before the XR always had shit batteries between the 1600 and 1800s. That’s why I go with the Plus models. I think they’re cumbersome and a little too big, but an almost 3000mAh battery is worth it IMO.

Iphone se was launched with the release of iphone 12 mini and price hiked iphone 12 in mind. To force to think customers that they are getting something at that price point. Adding to this, iphone se is the first ever phone that has not been included in Apple's trade in program while upgrading. It means, you cannot exchange an iphone SE for buying another apple product. Charging brick and ear pod were removed but price was not reduced. Refresh rate remained the same. It is clear.
