If the fight is already fair or even in your favor, but you mess it up, then going back in time is just cheating. In other words: You don't deserve it.

I've been playing Ekko a lot lately in casual, and I am so happy because last time I played him, Tank Ekko was the only viable playstyle, but now I've been on win streaks and I'm gonna ride this high for a while.
From Viktor's point of view, he doesn't even know who Ekko is, he's some random kid that got past his army, came out of nowhere and threw an impossible bomb right at his face.
I do really like that it's Ekko that beats Viktor in the end, from like a thematic stand point. It's two brilliant kids from Zaun that just wanted to make their world brighter. The major division point between the two being that Ekko stayed connected with his roots while Viktor went out to go searching for answers. (I am kinda bringing some of the game's lore in here to be fair). We get to the final confrontation where Ekko has given up his perfect world to save everybody from Viktor who's about to sacrifice everybody for his perfect world. It's one last nice bit of the symmetry the show loves. (Cards on the table I've been an Ekko main for almost a decade so maybe I'm working backwards to justify why this is great instead here)
Not to mention both have the same power. The wild rune. And ekko proved he could use it for good. While victor got consumed by it. "In pursuit of great we failed to do good" Ekko did good from the beggining to the end.
No one was able to defeat victor in all timelines he wins that's the whole point, what Eko did is create an opening so that Jayce could reach through to victor and convince him to destroy the wild rune. Victor defeated himself by destroying the wild rune and him with it, that's where Jayce come into play because this is the only timeline where he reached to him and made him do the right thing. Jayce was the missing puzzle and ekko created the opening that's what happened.
@@lazywonderer4669 maybe not physically but it was a logical defeat, and an emotional one, logos and pathos, Viktors logic didn't account for an "impossibility" like the second anomaly Ekko had, meaning his logic was flawed and limited, and Viktors ideals didn't account for Jayce and his new found perspective on Hex Tech and it's natural oxidation, not mentioning how he travelled to a future where his worst fears became true and met his friend already defeated, he himself explains to Jayce the biggest flaw in his logos and pathos. They did defeat Viktor at the most important levels for a scientist, an edge case escaping his hypothesis and an argument against his logic
I understand why the show didn’t go full “fuck yeah” mode with this music because it kinda clash with the tone of Victor and Jayce’s dialogue. But man I can’t believe how well you made it fit with this scene. Bravo.

@ dude, of course it was, this is just the original theme put on top of the scene, imagine a full rendition of it fully edited into the scene. The show's track is cool, yeah, but it's never set up as an "Ekko song" so it just doesn't hit like it *could*. It's not that it doesn't hit, it just could be so much better.
Ekko's song is so iconic and sticks out from every league song. Thank you for making this, it would've been so awesome if Ekko's theme was used for this scene.

That was implied earlier when he and Heimer were testing the limits of the time travel. More than four seconds and it risks that explosion. Pretty neat way to implement the gameplay and I wish his other cinematics featured it.

0:32 when i first saw thid shot of ekko getting hit and the face and beimg forced to use his Z drive, it immediately reminded me of the Seconds Cinematic
When Ekko goes back for 6 seconds and throws device into Viktor, you needed to add his phrase from cinematics: "Here is the thing about time, if you can't make the most out of any given moment, you don't deserve a single extra second"

Too me Ekko is the true hero of arcane because he left a world that was damn near close to his ideal paradise only to return to his world and was willing to sacrifice his life to save it with no true personal gain other than saving the lives of the people and the ones he loved.
So im fiddling around with making an edit about this, and the ekko theme fits EXACTLY to the drops of him pulling the chain and the ending, its almost too perfect, ima post my edit when its done cause goddamn is this compilation is meant to be
