The audio to midi is powerful on ezbass. You can just hum a tune onto the mic and it will track it as a bass line. It can detect very fast notes as well. It would be cool to see how it could preform real time but I am not sure if there is a way to do that.

My workflow has been to do this then export midi to my preferred bass vsts. The tech on toontrack products is great, the sounds imo are a tad lackluster. I use Teletone retrograde bass or spectrasonics Trilian most times

If I write a bassline in GuitarPro and export that bassline to MIDI, can I then put the GP midi file into EZBass?

I fond this on line. I think this might work,
Actually, there’s no need to drag and drop I’ve discovered. Let me put it into context.
I have a midi track I call Bass Sketch (kinda like a thumbnail sketch of a drawing in a sense) where I loaded in EZBass. I had a groove in mind that I wanted to start with, so I played something out on my midi controller keyboard. I was hoping to drag and drop what I had just recorded to the track into EZBass for further tweaking, but it wouldn’t drag and drop.
Reading your post about EZKeys recording, I noticed when I had the EZBass plug-in window open, the MIDI IN was flashing as the track played back.
I simply reset the playhead in Logic to the beginning, pressed the record button in EZ Bass which then caused the play button to “glow”, which I suspect is the record ready state of EZBass. Once I pressed the play button in EZBass, the interface showed a message saying it was unavailable during recording. I played back my midi in Logic and EZBass recorded it note for note.
Voila, there you go. Now I can work on adding articulations and try different grooves.

Hi I have an album that I am working on and I would like to re-create the bass and drums sounds to make them sound realistic and not muffled as they do now.. are you familiar with working with ezbass? And ez drummer?

What if you want to use the audio tone as the blended Mix as you were messing with going back and forth from original audio to midi then settled with somewhere blended in the middle? When you added song to track did it keep those settings or did it shift all the way to midii only? When I find my blend , and click on add midi to song track, it only does the midi, I want the blended mix sound. anyway to do that? thanks

I looked today and I could not get a blend.. I guess just make another track in your DAW and blend your live bass with the Midi. I guess the blend is for checking if your midi is correct with your audio.. If someone knows please Chime in... Thanks Again... Rhett

I'm sitting on the fence for buying just for this reason. I wonder if it works something like "MIDI guitar"?

I couldn't figure out how to drag from Pro Tools or import with the EZBass interface through the menus, but I am able to drag the midi file from Windows Explorer into the EZBass window, and then I can edit articulations and whatever else. Editing hammer-ons, slides, etc, is much easier in EZBass than in MODO Bass. It is a pain in MODO Bass.

@@jobe9556 I have exactly the same problem with Reaper. Searching the forums, many people state that it's a limitation of the DAW and not the plugin.
