- In 2023 we took a one-year trip in our campervan to hike, eat and sight-see our way across America (and even into Canada).
Join us in this episode as we take what turned out to be our favorite day hike of the year on the Maple Pass Loop Trail in Washington. With amazing views of the North Cascades, alpine lakes and lush greenery, this was the perfect adventure for seeing the sights. We'll show you around so you can enjoy all of the spectacular scenery that we did ... but you won't be able to taste the amazing food we ate back in town. We bet you can't guess what kind of topping we had on our pizza. :) Stick around to see if you were right or wrong. Let's go!

Guys that hike is beyond gorgeous and breathtaking!! There are just no words to fully describe. Our God never ceases to amaze with the beauty of His creation! That one is definitely on the bucket list of hikes. Beautiful job capturing it on video for us all to share.

I just had to rewatch this video, so I could relive the experience myself. Y’all were so right!!! This hike is one that might not be able to be topped by any other hike! Y’all were so blessed with perfect weather!!! We had some bits of haze since there was a forest fire nearby, but it was still spectacular, and God sent a breeze to blow most of the smoke in the other direction later in the day! We went on the trail clockwise so that we could end the hike with a trip to Lake Ann, but what was funny is once we reached the peak on the trail and started to descend there were a few places where it dipped down and then went up hill again. I had to say several times that I was told that it would be all downhill from there, as I trudged up another hill. LOL! I’m so thankful that y’all made this video and recommended this hike!!!!! My sister and I were praising God for His majesty and His boundless, endless creativity and for the gift to get to be able to experience that mountain top with Him! We both quoted 1 Corinthians 2:9 to each other with amazement because we were like, “Wow, God! How are you gonna outdo this?!?!?”
When we started working on this video, it had been a year since we did the hike, and we were just in awe as we watched the video clips. We remembered it was beautiful, but wow! It is definitely one of our favorites. it is hard, but so worth it. How can you not praise God on this literal mountaintop? We are so glad you got to do this hike too. What an experience. We are just sad you didn't get to try the Blackberry Bacon sandwich. Thanks for watching (again) and for your comments. We love reading them!

1. The first shot of Lake Ann with all the green and mountain reflections in the water.
2. The stunning panoramic views. Everywhere you looked was like a postcard.
3. Annie's Pizza- their pizza crust looked so delicious!
This hike was amazing! All of the mountains and greenery. It was just breathtaking. And to think that we had never even heard of North Cascades National Park until we set out on this one year journey. So glad we didn't miss it!

Thank you for including a restaurant recommendation! My sister and I always get blackberry pie when we leave Mt. Rainer at the Copper Creek Inn. It’s a tradition! I hope we will get to make the Hawaiian pizza with cherries on top a tradition, too! What an awesome video!!! Thank you for filming that and sharing that with us!!!!!!!
