Thank you so much @janej8995 for your amazing feedback...I truly appreciate your kind words! I'm glad you found the video informative for your upcoming hike/scramble. This is the exact reason I've decide to use the footage I record while I'm on these outings to make each video as detailed as possible so fellow hikers get a better idea of what they're going to encounter on the trail. It does take quite a while to get all the elements to flow together and I appreciate you noticing the effort that went into creating this video. I hope that it continues to inspire others, like yourself. for years to come! P.S. Don't forget to subscribe 😁

Nice video! I'm planning to hike it this may 1st. How many hours does it take to complete considering someone that has a good walking rhythm? Cheers

First off, thank you for your comment on the video...always appreciate the feedback! Second, I think that your plan to hike this on May 1st may be too early to tackle something of this magnitude. Were you thinking of summiting Smutwood? There is a large system heading our way that could bring up to 25 cm of snow to the mountains and with the melt/freeze we've been having lately the new snow-pack will be unstable. There are many avalanche areas along the trail of this hike and so it my strong opinion that you should wait until enough snow has melted so there would be no risk of avalanche. Now, I have absolutely no idea about what skill sets you possess, if you have avalanche training, you've summited Everest, etc, but I would wait until later in the season...it's still shoulder season and this definitely is not a shoulder season hike. It took us roughly 8 hours to summit and return to the trailhead and that was in good conditions and we took plenty of breaks. Whatever you decide, do your research before you go out, take all necessary precautions and make it home safe!

@marioolave3461 Glad to hear it! In my humble opinion, I would wait until July, which is only a few months away, the snow will be gone, and the mountain isn't going anywhere! There are still plenty of hikes out there that you can do in the meantime! 👍
