I'm a woman with a very small wrist and coming from a watch 5 Pro this watch sits so much better on my wrist and feels more comfortable. It actually even looks better. I got the titanium silver and I seriously could not be happier right now I honestly feel like this really is even a big step up from the watch 5 Pro. Samsung gave me a $350 trade-in value plus another $50 instant rebate with an extra band so I paid $250 period for this watch which to me is a no-brainer
I didn't think I would like the watch5 pro, but I end up loving it as I alternated between the classic and the pro each week. The thing I like about the watch5 pro was you can get 5 days of battery life out of it for those of us that didn't use its gimmicky health features.
Love it. Just went to the Galaxy ultra from.an Amazfit. Much more accurate readings. Only downside is battery life. Amazfit is about 14 days. 2 days with Samsung

Wrong. You can move around the bezel on the ultra an with the haptic feedback it's awesome. The physical bezel that rotated broke and was a entry point for water and dust

The Ultra is bang on. The band system is awesome. It doesn't need to be backwards compatible. There are LOADS of bands now available. If you're smaller in statue with smaller wrists and you think the Ultra is too large then simply buy the watch 7.
I'm a woman with a very small wrist wearing the ultra with the Marine band like she is and there is no need to have all that extra Loop sticking out. The band slider slides up far enough that you don't need to have that tongue sticking out
I don't recommend these watches. They don't cover the damage if it is water. They say you can swim with them but that is a lie. Call Samsung and ask them about water damage. They don't cover it. I went swimming at my gym to do laps and the watch messed up. are trying to charge me to fix it .
3 things let it down for me. 1 - battery life averages only 1.5 days for me with everything turned on and 2hrs GPS activity tracking per day and sleep tracking. (same as my GW6) 2- as much as I don't care too much for the Rotating Bezel the Ultra really could have used it for activity tracking with water lock on meaning you could still control every aspect without needing to touch the screen. Ie buttons to start stop and pause and use the rotating bezel to change between data screens. 3 - no night mode on the Ultra Info Board watch face. Apple Watch Ultra has night mode on both analogue and digital watch faces so should this. Apart from those things it's absolutely beautiful and they managed to copy Apple but make it better looking and nicer to wear. The fitness tracking Samsung have finally managed to nail for accuracy too. The GPS tracking is better than my Garmin Fenix 7 Pro and my Apple Watch Ultra and they were good.
But why? Manufacturers should really do away with stupid limitations like these. I remember when a certain smartphone model had FM radio or not, depending on region...

I agree with this. After wearing A AW2 for a couple of months i switched back to android. I love my galaxy watch ultra. Its every bit as nice as a AW2. Samsung health also is getting better.
I understood that only the ultra would have the sleep apnea function which was why there was such an increase in price and when I look at the website it only shows the ultra as having the sleep apnea option
I got the darker tone watch ultra and it is finally smooth. It pissed me off how laggy the older Samsung's watchers were. Messages is a breeze now. Notifications as well. Off course they wanted to charge more for a better chip hug Luckily pre order deals kicked in.
The huge difference is the battery! Remember every time you charge it up the battery degrade process starts. I love only having to charge my watch on the 3rd night

Samsung definitely didn't consider that woman would use this watch, that strap is crazy! Also I check my sleep by wearing the watch and it's bad I got a sleep score of 59. The touch bezel is hit or missed.

The strap mechanism on the Classic 6 is _SO_ fiddly. Given the large number of 3rd party straps _already_ available, I'd rather see Samsung being commended for making it easier to swap bands.

I get it but I'm not mad at the fact that they hold some features for their brand specifically. It's incentive to buy their phones. Branding is the name of the game for companies. At least you can pair it with other phones.
Just got mine yesterday. So right off the bat, the UI is a lot smoother than the GW6C, after switching back and forth between AWU and the GW6C it was easy to notice the lag on GW6C, the GW7U has definitely improved on that. Feels super premium although the orange band doesn't feel as comfortable as AWU's, I'll try the free band I got with it. Screen is plenty bright. I guess the downside is the lack of any type of physical movement button like a bezel or crown. Having to use the screen to "rotate" doesn't feel smooth and was a bit laggy. Unfortunately, I have tattoos so the Heart rate monitor doesn't pick up my heart rate however the AWU can give a pretty good reading even with me having tattoos so bit of a bummer. I have cardio today so I'll see if the exercise can be recorded some other way. Having both AWU and GW7U, you can definitely see where Samsung got their inspiration, customizing the watch face directly from the watch feels suspiciously like Apple Watch, the new watch face kind of looked like when I first got my Apple watch and the night mode is self explanatory. Overall a pretty good watch, glad I sent the GW6C in, wasn't my favorite.

After having this for 3 days I'm returning it. The back of the watch gave my wrist a bad rash. Never had a problem with my 6 classic So I'm keeping it. I do the same walk everyday and distance and heart rate were pretty much identical to the measurements of my 6 classic and not having the physical rotating bezel really did bother me. Plus I'm not a serious athlete I just walk. I have a bad knee so running is out of the question. I just didn't see any major improvements over my 6 classic. I definitely don't think $650 is worth it. For the price the whole watch should have been Titanium not just 10% of it. It's actually pretty cheaply made. Nothing like the apple ultra which is actually Ultra.
Agree. But besides that, this watch is too big and heavy despite of having the screen of the same size just like regular Watch 7 has. Just making the watch bigger and heavier doesn't automatically transforms it in "Ultra". Samsung should learn from Apple how to make a truly Ultra devices.
I can’t see how the watch 7 40mm gets 34hrs of run time. Mine didn’t even last the day. Fully charged at 10:30am and was dead by 6pm. I’ve sent mine back.
Now I have the Ultra because it was only $229.99 with a trade-in. You can also pick up the watch7 for around $45 if you play your cards right. I got the Ultra because of the bigger battery just like the watch5 pro. I personally disabled the health features as I care less about those options and I'm able to get 5 days worth of battery life. I use my smartwatch for texting, notifications, and weather. The Ultra's interface is definitely much smoother with its new hardware. If you disable the gimmicky Bixby and remove some of the bloat that's on the Ultra and other unwanted apps and look through your permissions carefully can also increase your battery life. Now if you're a health nut and love using Samsung's gimmicky health features then you probably get a day to two days out of it.
Bought mine with the Samsung cloth strap and I really like that strap more than the lug strap it came with. It takes a bit to set it up and don't hitch it too tight. But it's comfortable and holds it in place without fear of pulling off.
If you use the health features then yes, you will get crappy battery life. I don't use the gimmicky health features so with the watch6 I can get 3 to 4 days of battery life and with the Ultra I can get 5 days of battery life just like with the watch5 pro.

I feel like they should've kept the new sensor either exclusive to the watch ultra or should've putted an even better sensor on ultra which is on par with apple watch ultra, they shouldn't have the same sensor the ultra needs to be more differentiated
There isn't enough to differentiate the GW7 and Ultra prices. Samsung needs to differentiate the two watches better. I'm skipping the Ultra and waiting a couple more years for a better watch. I'm hoping for a square screen in a couple years.

Samsung could and should have simply taken the design of the classic, made it a little thicker to increase the size of the battery 🔋, and spared us the controversy and offered us a real Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra in Titanium. i got mine on 23rd and i ordered gray on gray band. battery life is amazing! first day use by 8pm, 70% remaining.

You would need a new one. They shape of the bottom has changed due to the new sensor.
My watch 6 classic and now watch ultra chargers are still unused in their boxes, as I've been using the one from the pro

I believe I saw that there is a setting off by default that is for people with tattoos
@@eman93101 unfortunately the only thing we can do is turn wrist detection off. I'll probably just input my height and weight, see if that makes it any more accurate. But yeah I just did a workout and got nada. It's ok, I expected it. Still like the watch
I agree with the lag on the watch 6 classic. When I got my oneplus watch 2, I instantly saw that it was much smoother than my watch 5 pro and watch 6 classic. I've kept the classic but traded in the 5 pro for the ultra
So this $600 watch is for workout people

Actually it isn't, Samsung was making smartwaches when Apple was still dreaming about having their first one.
After having this for 3 days I'm returning it. The back of the watch gave my wrist a bad rash. Never had a problem with my 6 classic So I'm keeping it. I do the same walk everyday and distance and heart rate were pretty much identical to the measurements of my 6 classic and not having the physical rotating bezel really did bother me. Plus I'm not a serious athlete I just walk. I have a bad knee so running is out of the question. I just didn't see any major improvements over my 6 classic. I definitely don't think $650 is worth it. For the price the whole watch should have been Titanium not just 10% of it. It's actually pretty cheaply made. Nothing like the apple ultra which is actually Ultra.
Agree. But besides that, this watch is too big and heavy despite of having the screen of the same size just like regular Watch 7 has. Just making the watch bigger and heavier doesn't automatically transforms it in "Ultra". Samsung should learn from Apple how to make a truly Ultra devices.

I can’t see how the watch 7 40mm gets 34hrs of run time. Mine didn’t even last the day. Fully charged at 10:30am and was dead by 6pm. I’ve sent mine back.

Galaxy watch FE should have rotating bezel with all of the Ultra specs but battery.
Now I have the Ultra because it was only $229.99 with a trade-in. You can also pick up the watch7 for around $45 if you play your cards right. I got the Ultra because of the bigger battery just like the watch5 pro. I personally disabled the health features as I care less about those options and I'm able to get 5 days worth of battery life. I use my smartwatch for texting, notifications, and weather. The Ultra's interface is definitely much smoother with its new hardware. If you disable the gimmicky Bixby and remove some of the bloat that's on the Ultra and other unwanted apps and look through your permissions carefully can also increase your battery life. Now if you're a health nut and love using Samsung's gimmicky health features then you probably get a day to two days out of it.

Bought mine with the Samsung cloth strap and I really like that strap more than the lug strap it came with. It takes a bit to set it up and don't hitch it too tight. But it's comfortable and holds it in place without fear of pulling off.

It's the battery life that is critical. I can't even get 12 hours from Watch6. Hopefully the ultra will perform as expected
If you use the health features then yes, you will get crappy battery life. I don't use the gimmicky health features so with the watch6 I can get 3 to 4 days of battery life and with the Ultra I can get 5 days of battery life just like with the watch5 pro.

I feel like they should've kept the new sensor either exclusive to the watch ultra or should've putted an even better sensor on ultra which is on par with apple watch ultra, they shouldn't have the same sensor the ultra needs to be more differentiated

There isn't enough to differentiate the GW7 and Ultra prices. Samsung needs to differentiate the two watches better. I'm skipping the Ultra and waiting a couple more years for a better watch. I'm hoping for a square screen in a couple years.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra is supposed to be a titanium watch 🤔, all I see is a watch made of 90% composite materials and 10% titanium at most, it looks like a bad cheap copy of a G-Shock 🤷🏽♂️
