- In todays video we head out looking for some halibut, we found tons of boats on the water and looked for an area less crowded. We ended up finding them, we had to work for it!

Awesome video. Thank you for making the announcement about netting shakers. There are many people who do not know what they’re doing when it comes to netting fish. Great content and thanks for sharing your experience and videos with the fishing community. 🎣🎣🎣🎣. FISH ON👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks JP for watching out video!! So many boats out there net shakers. Tight lines!
THAT was a "grind" out there for sure guys! Nice catches tho!
Thanks Chris!! Crazy how things can change so fast out on the water.
Good job guys see you in the water
Thanks Oleg! See you out there brother!
I take it you were near oyster point and SF airport. Nice videos you guys put up. Thank you for all your time
Thanks Robert for watching out video! Some of the video near SF airport and some near Oakland airport!
In 2008, the salmon fishing was closed, that year the halibut were over fished, all the boats stayed in the bay ,the next two years most of the halibut were under sized, age 67 fishing the bay sixty years, thanks!
Wow Ray! You have seen it all in the bay here. I have a feeling it might be similar next year for the halibut quality!
That's how a pro handles small halibut. Thank you for that. All these newbs netting em...pay attention.
Thanks Sir!! You are right about that, we see it all the time!
@@DDFishingCo I personally wish that CDFW would require a rubber net onboard all vessels engaged in halibut fishing. Even the rubber nets still can split their tails...but it would help. Swinging them in and grabbing them without them hitting the deck is the best way. Thanks again from a commercial fisherman who relies on these fisheries to pay my bills.
@@elgatodiablo6650 I agree having rubber nets would be way better than the rope nets. We lift all small fish in by the leader. We will keep preaching that on our channel! You fish in the bay here?
@@DDFishingCo Santa Cruz, mainly.
Awesome video and great info. Thanks for posting. Planning on hitting the bay this Friday. Fingers crossed.
Thanks Gerardo! Good luck out there today! I heard it’s been good!!
@@DDFishingCo well, we got limits of the San Bruno shoals. And two stripers.
@@gerardomartindelcampo1627 nice, that’s a great day!!
What size sinkers 1lb?
Yes sir!
