I remember getting a catalog from Ocean Shores Video back in the day. There were hundreds of martial arts films you could buy... They were not cheap,... its amazing to see most of those films are available here on UA-cam... For those of us "OG's" who went to the Fox theater on Woodward Avenue in Detroit, or whatever town you lived in that showed these films, Saturdays were awesome... THREE films to sit through, followed by kung-Fu fights all the way home, lol... those were some fun days... I miss those days and those who are no longer with us from that time... I think that is one reason we keep watching these.. not just for the films themselves, but also to remind us of those really good days, and those we will never forget... be safe, everyone... Siempre pasaban este tipo de películas en TV y yo las veía juntó a mi padre(+) que era bien fan, eran de los bonitos ratos que compartíamos. I don't share that idea, Shaw brother's movies are filmed in studios, i much prefer open air big scenic natural backdrops with foliage, mountains, rivers and real city dwelings that show age and history not some studio props. To me SB movies are second rate and lack the authentic feel of chinese countryside and chinese cities.

Yes this movie is ok with the basic Fighting form of conditioning fighting the water training and posing it's similar to Beijing opera if you want to see John at his best watch Snake in the Monkey's Shadow the drunken boxing isn't bad either or Wilson the foot doctor Tong he even said it was one of his favorite films in an interview his footwork and snake boxing is amazing i saw him perform spiritual style it was very impressive see him really perform with Cliff Lok in Kung Fu Genius
This is legit my 2nd favorite kung fu flick of all time.... it's fucking hilarious and so damn quotable. Myself and my father can quote this movie almost verbatim to each other. So many memorable performances in this one.

Description sets the stage. Save some time trying to get names: Chou Ah Tai (John) starts off working as a grunt at a kung fu school then leaves. Runs into trouble with Hsiao Liang (Cheng Hung Yip). Lo Sin the Ghost Hand (Hwang) saves him from a killer and fights two more. Lo Sin sells Ah Tai to Hsiao Liang (Cheng) from a meat market worker program. Attacked at a restaurant in to save him is Big Brother (Fan Mei Sheng). Hsiao Wen is (Fan's) sister. Great training session for Ah Tai & Big Brother. Hsiao Liang's father Chin Pu Tou arranges for an attack of the two. Later another attack on Big Brother. Lo Sin is practicing but that is interrupted. As always the legs will go in to action !
