mini f1! no cars have a chance! gotta love the engineering! almost every other vid you see of these carts with bike engines look like they were not patient enough to see it through. they just wanted to run it instead of finishing it well. very good job!
Genug power hat das ding! Ich wünsche euch das ihr mit dem ding NIE einen Unfall baut! Eigentlich kann man nur sagen: Hochachtung!!!!! Deutsche Qualität^^
Ok I have massive respect for the builders off this machine, it looks really well made, possibly the best in the world? But I would love to see it on a track with a decent kart driver really pushing it!
the reason it sounds funny is because it is the bliss mix, this is the original track and it has been altered several other times. search bring me to life bliss mix.
this pails in comparison to the 265 horse power american made go kart with a cbr 1000rr engine with a turbo charger and big bore. but for having nearly 90 horse power less, it kicks ass.
Looks like you've got quite a bit of chassis bend. That is one awesome beast, but if I was to improve it the only two major things I can think of would be to strengthen the frame, and add large wheels (diameter, not specifically width) in the rear for better grip, and a little more clearance since I'm guessing you don't have much for that parking lot.
not only motor companies even f1 companies used it. at high performance the engine needs more air. but ram air is only usefull at high speeds. we even noticed it at the airfield. after we demounted the air intakes there was less power than before at topspeed. i don´t think i embarrass myself with the kart
i was thinking of putting a 400+ HP modded 1970 Silverado on my clone kart... if i can make it fit on there, ill probably have to extend the frame or something, but it would be badass
Yup, quarter mile times are in the single digits. Some have achieved like 8 and 9 second quarter mile times, and that was in the 1990s. Perhaps they are even quicker. That engine sure "catapults" that Kart like it was coming out of a slingshot. I had a 1998 Ninja 900 ZX-R9 or XZR-9, and it was very quick. Big engine, small Kart, very fast!!!
The problem with massively-powered go karts is the tire contact patch and lack of suspension. You need a smooth road to do 60 mph on a go kart. And acceleration with that much power on those little pieces of rubber is, well, problematic.
wow over-engineered!, can i ask what precautions you put into the frame to counteract twisting. i mean thats a tonne of power and what looks like flimsy chassis.
It wouldn't handle as good with bigger tires because bigger tires would raise the center of gravity. It doesn't have a very large wheelbase either, so higher center of gravity could be disastrous.
@emtildeath No there is no way, straight off wikipedia, 158.8 hp (118 kW) @ 11,500 rpm that was from Honda's supposed dyno, In reality the cbr1000rr is weak!
I noticed that the power is to much for the tires coz everytime you put the throttle back on after changing gear the tires would spin out slightly. try using the same slick tyres but those ones that F1 cars use when its raining. and you need to find a source of downforce.
i made a kart with a quad clutch gearbox. though it has an F1 body kit I cant fit it all with the body of a normal kart. it has carbon disc brakes carbon fibre body the works. its also got a twin cylinder supercharged engine that gives out 20% more rpm's then a F1 car and has 630 HP
the wheels are too small to provide the traction necessary to cause any problems as far as wheelies go. They'll spin before bringing the front up much.
The small tires are the point of a go kart, that how they keep all that power on the ground in turns. Any bigger tires that thing would be impossible to drive!
Great project! Would love to see this machine on a road course so you could open it up some. And for future reference...PLEASE stop covering up these great vids with music! I think we all wanted to hear the engine!
Thank you for posting this vid, that kart is an absolute riot, well done Baras, keep up the good work.
Damn!
I love the pneumatic paddle shifters and the throttle linkage!
This cart is the sickest I have ever seen.
Good job!
Bugs in your teeth + The smell of burnt rubber in your nose + your face flapping in the wind=
A work of art. Great job guys.
I would preffer to hear the awesome engine sound 100%.
das war die erste testfahrt du superhirn. aber trotzdem danke, neid ist immer noch die schönste form der anerkennung.
Everybody complaining about the music.... lets just say thank you for being able to see such an amazing creation cmon!! gddamn.
That engine is a beast. I'm getting the bike with that thing in it some day and I can't wait.
mini f1! no cars have a chance! gotta love the engineering! almost every other vid you see of these carts with bike engines look like they were not patient enough to see it through. they just wanted to run it instead of finishing it well. very good job!
You're gonna be going through tires in no time with the torque of that engine. Love it.
Genug power hat das ding! Ich wünsche euch das ihr mit dem ding NIE einen Unfall baut! Eigentlich kann man nur sagen: Hochachtung!!!!! Deutsche Qualität^^
I think i read somewhere they made the parts, but most of them you can get from your local kart shop, there's likely to be one near you, or online!
the chassis is, like many other parts self-made. the engine is a honda cbr 1000 RR
Best kart ive seen so far, well done guys :P
Turn off the music, the cart sings beautifully
Ok I have massive respect for the builders off this machine, it looks really well made, possibly the best in the world? But I would love to see it on a track with a decent kart driver really pushing it!
brake system (bremsanlage) is from a cbr 600rr motorbike
the engine(motor) is from a cbr 1000rr motorbike. definitely 172hp
the welds on that chasis would have to be so strong ,great job
You've got problems. good thing, the world would be dull without people like you and me
Song = Bring Me To Life
Kart = Incredible, we´re planning to build one too
there are a million ways to die. but THIS would be the coolest and most thrilling way...
R-E-S-P-E-C-T !
keep on rocking!
the reason it sounds funny is because it is the bliss mix, this is the original track and it has been altered several other times. search bring me to life bliss mix.
love the paddle shift mint idea. its better than stickshift anyday
When you are building a go cart and then you realize it could kill somebody

I understand the point completely. All you have to do it try it and you'd be hooked, too.
nice chain drive very well built!!
a larger sized tire would help a bunch as long as it still keeps the kart relatively low to the ground.
non ho mai visto un kart così,mi congratulo molto con voi, anche io sono molto appassionato, siete eccezionali
This is the definition of early UA-cam
Would love to see how quick the stig could take that round the top gear track
the name of 2nd song is "blur - song two" or "song 2"
Gotta admire folks that don't know the meaning of too much fun.
WOW. That looks HELLA FUN! Kudos!
172hp/ca. 130 kg + driver
still looking for a longer track and high speed tires
It may have been the only place available that they could legally test it out.
Best one yet! nice build!

Im building one with a honda 954 motor now . when i get done soon i will put the hole install on you tube.
That thing is a motor on wheels! I can't imagine that on a racing go kart
Goddam, those motorcycle engine just want to go.
omg that is possibly the coolest thing i have even seen!!!
A Cart like this made the 1/4 mile in less then 10 sec. A German Car magazin has tested one and it made it in 9.5
Where did you get that version of the Evanessance song? It sounds so much better without the male backup singer!
Oh yea, nice cart too. good job!!
this thing is ridiculously fast from 0-100 km or something but after that i cant see it being fast midget tires will reduce top end greatly.
i was thinking of putting a 400+ HP modded 1970 Silverado on my clone kart... if i can make it fit on there, ill probably have to extend the frame or something, but it would be badass
@DynastyPercussion
"rick really needs help" - "yo, we just gave him some help"
looks like they put an i4 engine in the cart. and holy torque
How can those tiny little breaks stop this power? o.O Awesome!
love the helmet cam... good job
sehr geiles teil..sieht auch cool aus mit den ram air einlässen und was für ein sound!
Like one cm ground clearance. That must have been one bumpy ride.
2:44 though he crashed. XD. Awesome kart !
that's like super mario kart with all the shroom boosts
it's 'Song 2' by 'Blurr'
the sound of the engine is awsum!
this song makes everything seem epic
hey i'm a civic owner and i love superkart, mosterkart, go kart. stop stereotyping ALL civic owner.
This is the kind of go kart I like to race.
Thats a bloody beast!!!! Its a little bit quicker than my 49cc go kart lol
Yup, quarter mile times are in the single digits. Some have achieved like 8 and 9 second quarter mile times, and that was in the 1990s. Perhaps they are even quicker.

I'm not an expert on shifter karts, but I would say 150mph/ 241.4 kph+. I could definitely be wrong though.
wow ... that engine sounds very nice
wow over-engineered!, can i ask what precautions you put into the frame to counteract twisting. i mean thats a tonne of power and what looks like flimsy chassis.
It wouldn't handle as good with bigger tires because bigger tires would raise the center of gravity. It doesn't have a very large wheelbase either, so higher center of gravity could be disastrous.
I wouldn't drive something that slide happy around semi trailers, but that's just me. lol
@emtildeath No there is no way, straight off wikipedia, 158.8 hp (118 kW) @ 11,500 rpm that was from Honda's supposed dyno, In reality the cbr1000rr is weak!
1:13 "who wears short shorts?" ..."I WEAR SHORT SHORTS!"
but never say never. how i know baras, earlier or later it will get one.
i dont think id have the balls to drive this monster.....and im not afraid to admit that. this thing is insane!
There is only one word to descibe it :AWESOME.
I would gladly pay this guy to build me one with a R6 motor!! That's freakin' sick!!
No doubt man, shifter karts are FAST. Even the 125s can cream a lambo at acceleration.
The music ruined it
Karol Wojtala what do u want Bieber
+Karol Wojtala was pretty sick aside from all the shit music. Some Kalmah would've worked!
+Karol Wojtala 2007, what do you expect.
you see alot of people making these conversions think the manufacturers would make a class or at least put them into production eventually?
i dont know... something about that gas tank between the legs thing scares the shit out of me...
Geiles Teil Jungs..! Kein Wunder dass die Vorderräder fliegen gehen..bei dem Gewicht gegenüber 172 PS..LOL
I noticed that the power is to much for the tires coz everytime you put the throttle back on after changing gear the tires would spin out slightly. try using the same slick tyres but those ones that F1 cars use when its raining. and you need to find a source of downforce.
that wasn't a wheelie it was the chassis flexing
Ur right, but its jujst fun having a fast kart like that, for straigh lines
Thats one nice creation. How did they dyno it.?
i cant imagine it making a difference but we dont really know what kind of CFM its sucking in.
The link to the website is broken. As for the kart....KARTGASM!
It looks like the Mickey Mouse kart with those air intakes... But its INSANE!!!! HAHAHAH
sehr geil!
RamAir Idee ist auch top umgesetzt!
i made a kart with a quad clutch gearbox. though it has an F1 body kit I cant fit it all with the body of a normal kart. it has carbon disc brakes carbon fibre body the works. its also got a twin cylinder supercharged engine that gives out 20% more rpm's then a F1 car and has 630 HP
Nice work folks, is there a tire that can handle it??
I was waiting for him to hit some obstacle.
HOLY CHRIST!!! 172hp to what, 2-300lbs???
the most ungodly power/weight ive ever heard of...
i guy needs to figure out a good all wheel drive system for one of these to harness a little more of the power to the ground
man u guys are, my new idle, and u better take that thing out on the roads and have some fun with the police. and i love you guys
I love that cheezy music!
WOW!!!!! I want to have this xD
Has the Kart only one gear or can you shift?
my opinion
this is not a racing song, try another one :D
you still rock!
the wheels are too small to provide the traction necessary to cause any problems as far as wheelies go. They'll spin before bringing the front up much.
hammergeil und noch voll fahrbar, aber natürlich immer ein bisschen aufpassen, das ist klar.
actually this song is pretty good she has a really good voice and this go kart is fucking stupid fast
The small tires are the point of a go kart, that how they keep all that power on the ground in turns. Any bigger tires that thing would be impossible to drive!
