That sounds extremely good for a full digital production. Big up for this piece. I especially love the bass+piano combination, even though it could use a little bit more of some embelishments Great job!!
There’s a digital/electronic musician named Tanger who gets extremely realistic sounding sounds out of daws. Don’t under estimate the power of digital production.
@@pizzazemle6262 what does that even matter lmao it's the same digital tools, the only difference is a treated room and possibly 11.2.4 surround sound for atmos. a stereo mix needs none of that and the best headphones to mix on are like $200. Like I have a full home studio with 7.1 and I still use my hd6xx and hd598, and just check with reference tracks and my full setup. You can learn everything a studio hired artist has off youtube and you know most big studios are not hiring the composer to fly in and work there anymore right? a lot of it is work from home, even the voice talents unless it's BIG budget work from home fairly often now. Not to mention these dudes cut their teeth on t.v. shows, where youre sometimes getting the hour long episode and doing a full comp in like a week. or the fact 99% of people who work composing for film and t.v. are not working for "trillion dollar studios" lmao, which aren't even a thing but for the purpose of the argument it's like ten people at the highest level and they do a handful of films a year, like three maybe. the dudes using full orchestration are exceedingly rare and dwindling as time goes on

this is fantastic the only thing i would say is put everything on a reverb bus and add some effects to the piano and make it more realistic like someone recorded it in like randomizing the velocities and strumming the chords a little
dude this sounds amazing - takes me back to my big band days! i think it would sound even doper if you cut bars 204-208 so contrast between the sparse and busy sections leading up to the end is maximised. your call tho - sounds great either way!
Good suggestion, I wanted to bring back the main theme one last time but I think you are right in that going for the contrast would be better, especially since the main theme is so repetitive already throughout the piece.
Woa, the arrangement here is REALLY good. The alternation, repetition, the interesting chords... it's all there! Can't believe I didnt find your channel earlier lol
this type of music is not my favourite but this is truly amazing. to be able to recreate and even surpass live bands is an amazing feat. this is actually so well made
i wouldnt say this surpasses a live recording, i dont think computers ever will. i do think however this is as close as it can be right now. and that is very impressive

@@wiinexus I'm sorry, but digital jazz isn't there yet. It is nowhere close to the tradition of a big band with live musicians. Each person knows their instrument much better than the arrangers, and it is usually up to them to give life and nuance to a song based on what they hear. Digital jazz also involves communication between musicians reacting to each other. There's also a lack of infrastructure for jazz vst and a lack of mockup experience and tutorials compared to other genres. If you could imagine it, there are musicians who could take the first part with just a bass and drum and make it feel incredible, and then the piano comes in with some exciting ideas that you would want to listen to again for the execution. Then, the brass comes in, responding to each other's calls and responses. This is a very good mockup, but you should be aware.
