***** I just searched for aftermarket exhaust and there are some really cool looking ones.. and the Standard Acrapovics etc. have exhaust for this one :) First thing I did when I got my first CBR was to switch to a Yoshimura slip on.. The bad part is that you need a full exhaust system for this one unless you want to start cutting the pipe apart. :)
It would really be nice to see, actual owners testing & reviewing their own bikes, it's easy to ride a new bike a few miles and think it's great, when in fact it may not be as great ? Newness has a way of blinding the reviewer, to some faults, and issues that only seat time will reflect, and some only say what people want to hear, just to get more views, sadd but possibly very true ? It's easy to ride a new bike with rose colored glasses, or visors in this case, when money is at stake, or maybe views, or both ? Don't get me wrong, i happen to like this bike, say over it's faired brother, in the looks department, but an honest opinion from people, say with thousands of miles seat time, means much more to me...yl
THIS IS NOT A REVIEW!!! It's a paid commercial. They praised the bike without exposing any flaws. This bike is cold-blooded, buzzy, has a clunky gearbox and no center stand. But these guys are paid not to tell you that!
They did say it was under sprung, and it bottomed out, that is a shame, and here is why. You should not have to change the fork springs, to make a new bike safe, if it's bottoming out while braking, it's not so safe, it just will not stop right, it will slide at the minimum, maybe that is why they push, having ABS so much these days ? >>>>Something to think about. I happen to agree that it seems to be, a paid commercial, for the reasons you said & others as well.
BiZinatChos FZ-07 has a similar exhaust and they made an aftermapket center-stand for it. Center stand is a must for a standard bike. so you can use it for touring. I did that a lot, and I had to change chains and tires on the side of the road. If I bought this Honda, I would have to carry a car jack + 2*4s
I went for a test ride on one today. Not really impressed today's 4 cylinder bikes are so revvy and the bike felt buzzy. It also felt like it could do with8 gears instead of 6 as I was always trying to go up a gear which wasn't there. Sorry, but not my ideal bike by a long shot. Infact I would say its pretty crap being so buzzy and vibey in this day and age. I much prefer the engine characteristics of the older 4 from the 70s and early 80s.
Well I have to admit I haven't ridden an MT07, but it does get great reviews, whereas the reviews on this machine aren't quite so hot. I also have to admit I ride twins these days, so I'm more used to those engine characteristics.
If you can get a test ride on any of the bikes then do as that's your only real way of getting the machine that's right for you. Re the CB650f - don't get me wrong, I love the style of the machine. However, I would need a longer time to get use to the engine characteristics on a modern in line 4.
Nice fun review, thanks. My next bike, hope there are some aftermarket exhausts though

This video tells me nothing about the bike except that it comes with a carbon fiberish tank protector.

I haven't seen one yet. Where did you get a chance to ride on. I'm curious enough to sched. a test ride on one.

goldpilgrim How do you suppose they'd fit a center stand while having that exhaust?

Reviewing a street bike on the track der......!
Would love a comparison to the Triumph Street Triple 660.

Would you say the Mt-07 is better? or waaaaaaay better?

wozza59 Fair enough, I'm looking into buying this, the mt-07 or the kawasaki z750. I'm torn!!

Song name?
What on earth is a "caf"?
Don't mess with the "do"......
annoying and unnecessary music made this seem more like a commercial....nice bike though.
Such a horrible riding position I found
Me, too. Pushes you towards the fuel tank in an awkward fashion.
review a motorcycle and not crank it up??? thats a worst thing ever
