I hope not. Not even in the distant future (decades from now). But things are holding by a thread right now, so I guess I can't be sure one way or the other. What about you? What's your take on this?

@@KrissyNotty My take on this is not optimistic. I am fifty-eight years old and saw the uncertainty and fear during the early to mid eighties. During that time, I was quite convinced that I would spend my twentieth birthday as particles in the upper atmosphere. The whole thing scarred me so badly that I once collapsed from fear from a loud thunderclap during a Pittsburgh snowstorm (yes, that happens. Thundersnows are pretty scary).
We are headed into uncharted and scary waters, due to our own political stratification and division. Add in things like the war in Ukraine and the malice, incompetence and delusion of many world leaders... we have a rough road again.
