Ever since I stumbled on a Futura fiber wig a few years ago (maybe 2?), I have been on a wild and crazy hunt for the fiber. Everyone tries to distract you with "high heat fiber" and others, but NOTHING compares to the REAL THING FUTURA!
It feels virgin hair on its best day...that perfect not too dry, but not too dirty/oily "day 2 morning" that is so hard to get consistantly with natural hair. Futura is better than real hair. I can't wait to get more of it. :D

I had no idea that high heat synthetic fiber and futura fiber were so different in quality. I always assumed that they were the same just some companies didn't care to use the name futura .

WOOOOO! I've been waiting for this for years now! I have some questions about the hair.
1. In the video the hair looks very shiny but perhaps that's the lighting, does it look like real hair?
2. How thick are the hairstrands?
3. Can you dye the hair (thinking about #613/the white sample hair that the factory was out of)?
4. How long does the hair last (before it looks bad)?
Hello:
1) The hair will look shinier than most human hair especially the 613 makes it a little bit more obvious because 613 human hair is fried and extra dull. But it would look OK after some time as the hair tends to lose the surface shine.
2) I'd say like fine human hair, and pretty consistent about it obviously.
3) Yes, you can use dyes for synthetic fabric or permanent markers, you could use iDye Poly, or Dylon, or Rit Dye for Polyester. The outcome is kinda unpredictable because the temperature plays a role, the amount of dye to water ration plays a role and the time you let it in plays a role and I assume the colour of the hair will defo play a role to the final colour.
4) In theory synthetic hair should last you a life time if you simply keep it maintained frequently, like detangle it and heat treat it to resurface it and make it ssuper smootha nd use vinegar or clothe softener once washed (normal hair conditioners will do nearly nothing). Now how long till you have to resurface it... well, it depends on how you use it, on long hair in loose falls it should need a typical comb here and there and maybe some heat treating once a week, for anything super styles with hairspray the hair will stay like this till you decide to change it.

Futura is one of Kanekalon fiber. Kanekalon is a brand of Kaneka, Japanese company. Besides Futura (they call it "flame retardant polyester fiber"), Kanekalon has 3 other types of fiber for hair accessory products. www.kanekalon-hair.com/en/about.html
As for tangling, silicone spray is used as a detangler or prevention, but I haven't tried it yet myself, so I'm not sure how much it works.

Hey, I know the information but thanks for writing it here. I try not to confuse people too much. Kanekalon also comes in a more famous version which is the jumbo braiding hair which is not good for loose installation.
I was mroe than sure they must have some permanent coating to make it like this, it is awesome.

Yes, I buy it wholesale, I pay for shipping, I avoid customs and taxes and then put a tiny profit and resell it for 15$.
And this will be for solids (and I think blends will also have the same price).
Ombre might be slightly more expensive since they price it more expensive to begin with.

hi, i was wondering how you use the hair for ventiliating from a weft? do you just cut it at the top or remove it from the stitched part as a full length? am i right in that as its synthetic that having long returns wont have the 'backcombed' effect as their wouldnt be a cuticle? if that makes sense.

It holds the shape perfectly if you curl it, let it cool down in the curl pattern and then release it. Water doesn't remove the curl.

Will you get more colors in stock? I need #16, #10, #8A, #27J and #68. Also I would be interested in pastel pink and pastel purple.
OK, all the colours I have are not in their stock ready to be done. Which means some of them need to be in a custom order that requires me to get a MOQ of 50 pieces per color or something.
I plan to get a few of them and since I'll have to get them so many I plan to get them in blends, instead of a solid colour, I'd take a 3-colour blend that will look like the outcome I want, this way the hair will look much more realistic and nice.
Strangely there is no #16 which I know very well as a colour but there is a colour #6, that has 3 variation (6, 6H & 6P) I think 6H kinda looks like a darker #16 but since I can make a blend to resemble #16, a mixture between #6H and a lighter ash blond, It would be nice.
There is no #10 in his colour ring.
The #27 has10 variations >< and I do not understand it, it is like those yellow tones blondes.

So i'll have to see what I can get first, whatever I get will be possible to order as a sample as well (a fraction of the whole weft so it costs pretty cheap but enough to see what it is)
Since it's synthetic maybe try washing it in fabric softener
The normal high heat resistant fiber is a loss in any case, I tried softener and it did the job but only till it worn off and I also tried vinegar (same effect to softener).
Imagine using vinegar on Futura...!

Yes, Futura is also heat resistant and can take higher heat than the normal heat resistant, since it has better material and anti-tangle coating.
Efectively, futura is like the best heat resistant fiber out there

I'd love to be able to do them, defo not full lace since it wouldn't worth the work, but lace frontal with a fixed parting wouldn't be that hard. I am still not sure though.

What lengths will you be carrying
I plan to carry 4 different lengths per colour, 28" (longest they offer without the need of customization, since customization makes minimum order quantity = 50 pieces per colour which is kinda much for start)
So 10", 16", 22", 28" (increments of 6")
this way I will have the super short ones at 10" for sampling and also for short hair, 16" will be the medium, 22" will be medium long and 28" will be extra long.
If I see in the future that 10" is too short I might start making it like this: 16", 20", 24" and 28" (increments of 4")

All lengths will be the same price, synthetic hair don't have a cost per length since it is man made, the difference will be that 10" wefts will be shorter but wider since it is 100g and 28" will be longer but the wefts will be narrower since the grams will still be 100g
