Hi Crystal. OMG! The afghan kits are gorgeous. But I'm not that talented to make one. I follow your tutorials to learn new stitches maybe in a few more years. Lol. Being a huge animal lover myself I would definitely have a auction and donate the money to a animal shelter. I saved up about $100 to buy your new yarn that you were going to have with lion brand but since that didn't go through I donated it all in your name to my local animal shelter.
@@BAGODAYCROCHET I figured the profits you would have made from your yarn was going to a wonderful organization so I just paid it forward in a way that would still help the helpless fur babies.
They’re awesome to make especially in deep dark winter months. Learning to read mosaic crochet patterns is so easy. There are many UA-cam tutorials. Please give it a go. They are truly addictive.
😮 I love the idea of a kit….but afraid I wouldn’t have enough yarn to complete. Auctions would be a good idea, but maybe not all at once…but what do I know 😂
I am always in favor of helping animals find loving, forever homes. What a wonderful gesture to allow your UA-cam influence to benefit the pets, and prospective owners in need. I look forward to seeing the finished products and I am glad this world has kind souls like yourself.
Hi Crystal. I have been watching your channel for a couple years or so. You have taught me a lot about crochet. I enjoy your videos. I think it's a great idea to auction off for animal shelters. You should do that. I love making blankets and afghans. I love to knit and crochet. you make crocheting so easy. Thank you for teaching me.
I think an auction is an awesome idea! I love watching your videos it cheers me up every time. I enjoy your tutorials more than anything because I can learn from you so easily. I am 65 years old and I have been crocheting since I was 12 but you've taught me a lot in this last year that I've been watching you. Thank you so much!
The afghans are going to look gorgeous! Especially the prism yarn one, such pretty colors! I think an auction to benefit the animal shelter is a wonderful idea.
I love the idea of auctioning them off to donate to a animal shelter!!! Not only are you paying someone to complete the kit your also auctioning to help shelters. Your generosity is outstanding…heart of gold❤
I had the same problem with a deramores kit they said they had to substitute a couple of colours with another brand that had less yardage so I said I understand that but why didn’t you make them 100g balls then instead of 50g ? Their answer was I could buy more yarn 😮 , I never bought from them again
I bought my first kit from Mary Maxim about 18 months ago. Then I found a few more I couldn't resist, and I joined the quarterly afghan kit club. I probably have enough kits to keep me busy for 2 years now. LOL. An auction to benefit an animal shelter is an excellent idea. I will start saving up!
They are all gorgeous 🤎💙🤎 I really appreciate you showing them and letting us see how much yarn is in them. You are only crazy in the very best way - we love your crazy 🥰
The auction for animal shelters or rescues gets my vote, Crystal! Winter months are so difficult for the folks caring for our furry friends. Your generosity and kindness bring joy to so many lives. You truly are an inspiration in a multitude of ways besides your wonderful crochet videos! Love the cameos by Doug in this one!😄💕❄🐱🐕🐇❣
All the kits are beautiful! The last one with the pineapples really caught my eye though. I think having an action for the animal shelter is a great idea! God wants us to care for His creation 💕
I love all the kits you received from Mary Maxim. Keep all of them you want. You work so hard you deserve to have all the beautiful afghans you just don’t have the time to make them, there are only so many hours in a day. You are so giving that it’s hard to keep anything for yourself.❤😊
I love afghans! I think you could offer your children and parents each one they would like and of course, for you and Erik, and family first, and then auction several for charity! Love you, Crystal! What beautiful kits! 💚
I think an auction for your favorite pet rescue is a GREAT idea!! You giveaway so much already Crystal. I completely support an auction fundraiser for the critters!! 💜
Crystal, I think Afghan kits are great too. Thanks for opening my eyes to them. And yes, an auction, for best friends, fund raiser is a wonderful idea. Those colors ane patterns are very eye catching 🌻
Crystal, I absolutely love your videos! Especially the unboxing ones lol, I have never met (or watched) anyone that gets so excited over yarn, like I do! 🤣 I love your excitement! That coffee and cream one would have to be my favorite and the first one you showed, I really liked the pink color you got the first order.. They're all beautiful though! 😍 It's funny because I have been crocheting and knitting for 30+ years now, my grandmothers both made me learn by age 6! But I never knew how to read a pattern either. All these years, I could just look at something and duplicate it. I recently started learning how to read patterns because I was given a bunch of old catalogs from my grandmothers when they had passed away, a lot from the 70's and 80's and I am determined to start making some "vintage" patterns 🤣🥰 Thank you for sharing your talent with us! We all absolutely love you and you seriously are the best teacher! 💖
That is so funny because I have many stacked in my craft room and I get MM mystery boxes pretty often. I am currently working on one called Royal Fanfare Throw.😁
Love the auction idea and proceeds to animal rescue!!! You are so wonderfully kind and compassionate!!!! My family has supported local animal rescue for decades. The needs never stop. Thank you for keeping the awareness of needs alive!!! ❤
The auction idea is fantastic! Love the idea of so many benefiting from your channel. Loved seeing all of your choices. You had me cracking up every time you said you might have to keep it😂 I’m more than happy to make any off the crocheted ones, especially that mosaic one for you. I adore mosaic crochet and have done quite a few projects. Also enjoyed seeing Doug pop through. Hope all is well. Cheers from FL😺
Decisions, decisions, going to be hard to choose but then it almost always is hard to choose. Have fun. Awesome kits, beautiful colors, nice patterns. Thank you for sharing.
The animal shelter idea is fantastic! Yes, auction them off, as shelters ALWAYS NEED MONEY to buy food, and treat illness. I loved the brown, and blue hues in that one kit! I'd love to get a same one maybe after the Holiday. Thanks for sharing 😊
“I might keep this one”. Your living room is going to look like a afghan display showroom lol, if you do keep all of them. I know you said that you weren’t but I just pictured if you do. Thank you Crystal for sharing all these with us. Take care 💜
I just love your unboxing! You are so funny saying you might have to keep this one! I can’t imagine the huge box this order came in. Your excitement is so contagious. Can’t wait to see all these finished.❤️ I like the idea of auctioning them off for the animal shelter. The shelters do great work and always need funds. That has my vote!😻
This is amazing! The money from the auction will help so many animals! I have been rescuing cats this year. I have been able to get the ferals TNR and the kittens spayed/neutered, vaccinated and adopted out. There are so many animals in need. ❤ I have made crochet/knit items to sell and the proceeds go to help animals. Crystal, thank you for helping the animals. 🐾🐈
I'm all for auction off the afghan for an animal rescue. Especially this time of year the animals can really use our help. Thank you Crystal for all you do!
Crystal I cannot wait to see what Afghan kids you bought? Persian tile crochet kit is really beautiful and the pink one was just as beautiful! Benedict double Chevron throw is really beautiful! All of the the three kids are beautiful! The turquoise creams and brown prisms double Chevron throw is beautiful also! The Simple Times Afghan is very beautiful the burgundy is very beautiful! The textured reversible throw is gorgeous! That is definitely a bag of day crochet throw
The Afghan kits are all beautiful!! Love the Dreams of Ireland kit! It’s gorgeous! I like the flects as well!! Thanks for sharing your Afghan kit joy with us!! Stay safe & much love!! 💕🤗💕
Wish I was in same country I'd adore crochetting one or 2 for you just for the fun of making them , great deals I have the persion tiles in blue style craft I think it's been a while lol ty for showing these xx
Hi Crystal, Your kits are beautiful. I like to see you get exciting when you open you boxes 📦. Stay Safe & Take care. Have a great weekend. Bless the Bod Family. ❤️🙏🏼❤️
Beautiful kits. I never think to buy a kit. Whatever you decide to do will be very generous. Can’t wait to see all of them complete. A picture doesn’t do them justice
Hi Crystal. I love afghan kits too. I love the yarn that comes in them and the afghans are usually pretty beautiful. I love watching each one you are showing us. Thank you so much! I hope to be able to buy some this next year. I can't wait to see them finished. That white one is beautiful! Auctioning them is a good idea. Anyone winning one in your giveaways would be super lucky.
I love hearing real life in the background, feels like i'm there with you chatting about yarn. I thing a raffle would give more people a chance to win.
I absolutely love to see you get so excited regarding these kits. I’m so glad this brings you joy! You deserve it. I PRAY YOU, your children and hubby have a blessed Christmas. btw.... love those walls!!!🤗🧶💜🎄
Wow so beautiful Afghan kits they are so gorgeous 😍!! Yes it would be hard to pick which ones to keep LOL 😆 you can't have too many Afghan lol..I like the idea to have a auction to support the animal shelter! I'm casting on mine this weekend!!!! can't wait to see them all made up until next time have a wonderful and blessed day and rock yarn ❤️🧶
Absolutely stunning!! I think you should have your viewers send bids and the highest bidder wins. Those are too too gorgeous to give away and I love love the idea of helping the animals! Thank you for the chance to those when they’re done. Can’t wait!
All the afghan kits are beautiful. The knitted ones almost make me want to learn to knit. Operative word is almost. The last time I tried, I kept stabbing myself in the chest with the knitting needles, so it was a painful experience and all I got out of it was a small washcloth. The auctions sound wonderful. I've donated blankets to various auctions and made quite a few for a new Breast Cancer center that was opening. They were going to raffle them off at the opening. One other thing you might consider since you have so many kits, is to let each of your children pick one out and give it to them when they are grown and on their on. (Kinda like a hope chest item since we all know when our children are on their own we usually end up helping them get started.) Thank you for showing such a diverse group of kits. They are perfect for those that can read a pattern. The only one I could probably make is the mosaic crochet kit and even that depends on if the pattern is a graph instead of written. Blessings!
Hi Crystal! I think your auction idea for the animal shelter is a great one or for the foster care system, any of your favourite charities. Good luck with trying to pick which one you want to keep as they are all beautiful.
Hi Crystal if you don't mind sending kits to Wales UK I could do a knit afghan for you. Ive been cabling arran sweaters since I was 6 yrs old. I made the sweaters for a local Welsh wool shop. The crimson one looked nice aswell, my passion is arran so the Irish kit would be perfect. I dont want anything for doing it. Itll be a nice way to thank you for your company, I'm disabled and live alone, I have to have my Crystal fix daily xxc
i don't know how you can bring yourself to let any of them go, they all look so lovely, and i don't blame for saying your going to keep certain ones and you are so lovely and kind giving help towards the animal shelter
I got the Persian Tiles kit a couple of weeks ago also! I got the permier dk one that is rose and brown and gold. I foster for my local shelter. Some of my fosters have LOVED LOVED blankets and throws. Others could care less. Others only want to eat yarn. Ha.
Wow, Crystal, how beautiful! The Dreams of Ireland is my favourite: I've looked at that kit on the Mary Maxim website myself but it's a little rich for my blood. I am curious, though, about the cost to commission these kits out. I'd love to know if the people who make them charge by the project or by the logged time it takes to make one. Just curious. Oh, and I think your idea of auctioning the blankets off & donating the proceeds to an animal charity is a terrific one. Animal welfare organizations need all the money they can get! It's particularly important to me as I worked in an animal hospital for many years before I became disabled, & some of the things I saw that people did to their own pets would just make you sick. Animal welfare organizations are critically important. Thanks, Crystal, for sharing your kit choices with us. See you in the next video! Happy Holidays!
You can get just the pattern at Mary Maxim for $3.99. When I looked earlier today, it was on sale for $3.00. That's when I remembered I don't knit! I already have a throw and a slippers kit that are knit, hoping to tempt myself to learn. I did knit a really cute hat when I was young, over 50 years ago, now. But if I did it once, surely I can do it again. Right? Just because everything I've tried to knit since then has been a disaster, that doesn't mean anything...
Kits are beautiful. The yarn alone is worth the price
Hi Crystal. OMG! The afghan kits are gorgeous. But I'm not that talented to make one. I follow your tutorials to learn new stitches maybe in a few more years. Lol. I love Chicago ! Listened to this song many times. Now my hard habit to break is buying yarn, especially the sales. 😊
I love that she supports fellow crocheters!
And I know she does in other ways too, but I mean by paying them to make the afghans.
I like learning how to crochet different things from your videos.I,m a beginner but this is so relaxing.Keep up the good work.
Mary Maxim’s afghan kits are very nice. I’ve bought several in the last two years.
I am always in favor of helping animals find loving, forever homes. What a wonderful gesture to allow your UA-cam influence to benefit the pets, and prospective owners in need. I look forward to seeing the finished products and I am glad this world has kind souls like yourself.

I think the auction idea is brilliant, your so kind.
Your enthusiasm is infectious ❤
The afghan kits are gorgeous 😍
All those afghans are just the prettiest things.❤️❤️❤️ You are just the kindest person for sharing and showing the beautiful colors !!!!❤️🥰
I love the idea of auctioning them off to donate to a animal shelter!!! Not only are you paying someone to complete the kit your also auctioning to help shelters. Your generosity is outstanding…heart of gold❤
The one I'm making for you now is coming right along! 😁❤️
That u can do that crystal !!

Auction is a great idea they are beautiful. 😊
Hi Christal I love Afghan kits! An auction for the animals would be awesome! ❤
I foster and rescue dogs with a non-profit organization, I think having and auction would be a lovely idea!
Love all the kits, I would have a hard time picking a favorite.
I love how excited you get with your yarn. I get excited watching.😊😊😊❤❤❤
I hope you can have a parade of Afghan as you get the finished ones😊. So awesome you are helping so many with these afghans💛

I love the kits. I love the idea for the animal shelter. What fun to commission out the kits, wish I knew people who could do that for me.
I think an auction would be grand! A wonderful way to help all the poor animals who don’t have forever homes yet! A marvelous idea❤❤❤
I miss the pretty pink tree you had back there 😉👍. The yarns are awesome - it's wonderful how supportive of businesses/crocheters you are.
I love the mosiac too
All the kits are beautiful! The last one with the pineapples really caught my eye though. I think having an action for the animal shelter is a great idea! God wants us to care for His creation 💕
Love the auction idea.
I'm a kit addict too. I have a whole stack that will take me the rest of my life to finish.
Crystal , all of the kits are Beautiful . Some of them would make great wall hangings . Now I look forward to seeing them done . Love and Hugs .

I think an auction is a great idea 💡! I love how George makes his cameo appearance in the background 😀.

You are a sweet lady for your charity. I my self don't give away my yarn, but I am constantly making for people for their need. Keep up the good work.

I like that textured brown afghan kit. Beautiful
I think an auction for the animal shelter is a great idea! The afghans are all beautiful!
I think an auction would be great. A couple give aways is great idea also. Lots of people can't do them themselves and would love them.
The kits are gorgeous and no one would blame you for keeping several! And I believe we're ALL a little crazy!
“I might keep this one”. Your living room is going to look like a afghan display showroom lol, if you do keep all of them. I know you said that you weren’t but I just pictured if you do. Thank you Crystal for sharing all these with us. Take care 💜

I thing a raffle would give more people a chance to win.
I think viewers would be thrilled to get one. Maybe a few for us and a few for the shelter? I can't wait to see them all!
Knotty pine is so pretty. When I was a kid the kitchen was all knotty pine that my father installed. It's a really fond memory.
You make me chuckle every time you say you want to keep them. An auction would be good! I liked the last lacy one best.
I absolutely love to see you get so excited regarding these kits. I’m so glad this brings you joy! You deserve it. I PRAY YOU, your children and hubby have a blessed Christmas. btw.... love those walls!!!🤗🧶💜🎄
Yes to the animals!! Give aways too, but the care for critters always come first for me!

So pretty! Each one so unique! 💜 I just might have to go shopping after the holidays on their website 😊
I love the idea of auctioning them and benefiting an animal shelter. This would be so wonderful!

I have the Chevron Panels Throw, very similar to your Double Chevron Throw, but crochet instead of knit. Also uses Prism.
The kits are amazing. I absolutely love the idea of auction for animal shelters or rescues. You are an awesome lady.
i don't know how you can bring yourself to let any of them go, they all look so lovely, and i don't blame for saying your going to keep certain ones

The prism yarn is gorgeous
I love these and yes, they are hard to resist!
Crystal, It is awesome that you share your love of yarn. I think you should auction them for the benefit of the animals.
Love the irsh dreams one. As a member and volunteer at my local humane society, a do action is always appreciated. The animals thank you!
I love when I sit down to crochet with my coffee and you upload! I get to watch and crochet yay
