The Martin Luther bar is crazy because of what follows it. Pete says, "I fall asleep to the sound of the Hoover," which is a double; J. Edgar Hoover tormented Martin Luther King, Jr., including spying on the man in his bedroom. These men are DIFFERENT.
70 years worth of references to draw on, for both. Most rappers have less than half that 😆
Exactly what I thought when I heard that!
In the UK a hoover is a vacuum cleaner
@@graemepenton5851 Many layers to this onion 🤯
That's fucking nuts
The Mr. Ben reference was an old kids cartoon in the UK, Mr. Ben was an ordinary man who went to a magic costume shop every week, put on a different outfit and go to a magical world, like one week he would be a cowboy, or an astronaut.
Hence, "I switch suits like in Mr. Ben"
You're as old as me ;)
Naw bro u missed it. It was a ben ten reference… which is why he said 10/10 right after. Its a double bar.
@@quetzelmedina3 Nope - 10/10 is a connector between the Mr Benn bar & Ben 10.
@@djpeternice how is that different from what i said? Its a double bar…. Because it connects two concepts… im confused.
@@quetzelmedina3 So what were you saying on your OP that he missed? Just the 10/10 line? It seemed like you were saying he wasn't correct on the Mr Benn reference
This generation doesn't appreciate lyrics, but these guys are damn near masters of the craft.
"Burn that rubber, like I'm Michellin
Five star food that I dish to them."
So much going on in just these two bars
Yeah, literally everything they say means something. They don't waste a single line. If you can't catch more than one meaning from each and everything they say, you are most likely missing another bar inside the bar you caught. I don't think anyone can catch every bar without help. Even Knox Hill misses a lot. I can think of a few bars from Plugged In that I haven't seen any reactor catch at all, and some I've only seen a few acknowledge. I'm sure there are plenty I'll never catch until someone else points them out.
Food is slang for drugs as well
The amount of doubles and trebles and beat switch ups in this is absolutely phenomenal, and it's even better when most of it is missed by the vast majority.
Couldn't agree more. If you know british slang this is bars on bars
Mr. Benn is a cartoon from way back in the day who used to go to a fancy dress shop and change his suit every episode for a diff uniform and career..
No matter how quick your brain works.. You'll never get all of the references on the first take
💯
The Kings of UK Drill: Pete and Bas 👏❤️😎💪🔥
The bars flew right over your heads, lol. The beat switched up with every bar.
Too much smoking. Every other channel that reacted to them could hear them loud and clear. But if your head is cloudy....
Them bars flew over even with the subs 💨
They don't care bro. They only use UK music for views and subs then leave us in the dirt
"Your man got shelled on (Sheldon) Big Bang Theory" 🔥🔥🔥
some words are old London talk and slang. that way of speaking is starting to change. so to hear it in this genre. these two lads are bang on. Respect to the old school.
I'm glad you're playing another Pete and Bas monster.
Play all those on my list, and you both will be hooked.
Masters 🐐 🐐
My playlist is better that yours 😝
I mean my P&B list! my only public playlist 😅
@Deanosaur I only recommend these guys the obvious best monsters. My Spotify playlist has over 30 P&B tracks!
That "cha cha hips and slide" line is from their song "Shuffle". They tagged their own clip.
Mr Benn is a UK cartoon, where he change cloths and travel the world. Then Bas said 10/10 for Ben 10.
Also with all the cooking scheme before double meaning
@@pamelakontaxi6569 Yes, pure fire bars
Old Estate ft M24 is 👌

And like prepare yourself for it fr
Like the reviews, sounds like the UK bars be slept on
To give you some breakfast on this particular one over in the UK there is this channel called The daily duppy and they usually bring on up-and-comers and folks who are getting more popular and spreading their music and talent out for more than just the UK to see. According to these two, they weren't offered one after they've been busy pushing out music and even a mixtape. So this was not making their own daily Duppy type deal, because they also have a squad who got to do their own little sessions like this as well. These guys are serious it's just that no one really takes them serious because they are in their mid to late 70s which in its own right is a discrimination.
But I would definitely say to check out their two newest ones, Quic 1- and Gangsta Sh*t. I made a comment earlier about how they've been doing stuff since 2017 and you can tell how they've each changed over time so I would definitely say to go back and then just progressively go through their catalog including the videos they did with their group of friends.
The ones with their friends are more silly and they're just a bunch of guys hanging out but you can actually see how all of them are actually musically inclined in their own right.
Nah I think it's the colours show. Hence why he says don't care about colours also to do with race but the colours youtube.
Mr Ben is a cartoon character that changes his suits often.
pure fire
If your from UK u get it all...Itshard for Americans to get everything from there bars... But us from the UK can usually get everything from USA rappers bars ...so much history,,accents etc in uk....
Iys gdthat the UK rappers are bein heard & taken seriously worldwide..
Great vids guys....
Totally agree. Im from London and love watching Americans react to UK stuff. I love how pete and bass use that old school east London accent with todays slang and catchphrases. Anyway. I think there UKs best right now.

These two perform brilliantly. I would love to know how much of it is written by the lads behind Sindhuworld and how much P&B contribute. Also my research suggests the Addison behind Sindhuworld is the son of one of the members of a pre-internet not-to-be-taken-too-seriously musical act, so I wonder it the writing is a family thing.
I’ve wondered this too. I believe at first their grandkids helped them with the modern references and slang. But apparently nowadays it’s basically all them.
Mr Ben is an old British cartoon and he dressed exactly like they are
The best description of Bas: He's a beast, he's a problrm.😂👏🏿👍🏿
Best reaction channel
I appreciate all the breakdowns in the comments. ❤
Your homie in the jets swag is a Marine
You've got a long list of videos to go through. They've been making music since 2017.
Them bars flying over ya heads tho bas got bars bars and Pete is fire as well
When a rookie asks an old head to give a description of the difference between strains, from now on we should just show them any video by these guys and say, "sativa on the left, indica on the right".
You should try Mr Worldwide pit bas it's fire
Thanks
I guess that was a no 🤷
Skipped their new track even though it was requested, and skipped their second biggest tune too. Missed out on a guaranteed 30k views for each of those 🤯
My guys
there's a few comments below talkin about Mr Ben and how it was an older cartoon.. that scheme also has double references
Pete - ''and I switch suits like I'm Mr Ben''
Bas - ''10/10''
Mr Ben / Ben10 = both of these characters change clothes
Mr.Ben is a English cartoon that use to dress for the occasion if he was going to space he would step out in an astronaut outfit. So he said burn that rubber like Michelin(tire) five star food that I dish to them(Michelin started restaurant) chef’s hat on when I’m whipping in the kitchen then I switch suits like I’m Mr Ben.
He said break it down like the steps of the back of the box like crock. Aka Betty crocker. Fire
Mr Benn is a British cartoon character who, every week, puts on a new costume and has a new adventure. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mr_Benn
Thank u
Indeed! Great cartoon! Changed suits every episode! Classic 🎉
Yall should react to Gangsta Sh** by Pete&Bas. I'm pretty sure it's their newest song out.
Looks like they didn't bother to do that one 🤔
JETS JETS JETS
Better than 99% of rapper . All the barzzz are crazy an researched ...pfffff big slap to all the young no talent moderne rapper
you have to be English and over 50 to get the Mr Ben reference… Mr Ben was a children's TV programme from the 1970s about a man with who are used to go to a fancy dress shop change outfits and go on adventures.
Love how they mentioned "truck turner"... Gangsta ass flick

Thanks! 👍
Pete and Bas Gangster shit
That jollof bar gwarn bas
I Think you both will like The old estate featuring M24.
boom my guys
Most of these uk bars went over their head lol
🇯🇲 Respect 🇯🇲
He said _I switch suits like I'm Mr. Ben._
It was a Ben 10 bar. Their grandchildren help them with modern slang and references. They even had a Gundam bar in this song which is an anime series. I think it's a safe bet those couple bars were from the grandkids.
"Mr. Benn" wore a suit and changed into other costumes, it's much older than Ben 10.
@@TheDisturbanceTheory Never heard of it personally, but the point of my comment was correcting the misquoted lyrics in their reaction and the rest was digression. Every single thing they say has more than 1 meaning. You are probably 100% correct, but I know I am too. If you disagree, do me a quick favor: Turn your volume up and listen to Bas' first words in his line directly after Pete says _Mr. Ben/Benn._
🎉🎉
The way they set up each other was crazy.. you missed the links
when bas said ill hurt em ..i believe him
Pete & Bas - "Lightwork Freestyle" - "Generals Corner"
