Love the focus on safety first - chocks are a lifesaver, and explaining how to jack and support with jack stands. Absolutely agree - NEVER TRUST A JACK! My dad pounded that into my head on the farm.
Make sure you check your vehicle manual and oil cap. This video says to use 5w20 oil, my vehicle recommends 5w30. Not sure how much that matters but I have always heard it isn’t good to change mid vehicle life
You have a Point there. The difference is weight. Some people prefer to use 5w-20 in winter month and 5w-30 in summer months. Depending on your location. Thanks
Great video thanks! What size motor is that? Reason I ask is I have the 2.3 4cyl and I wanted to know if the oil filter and drain plug are in the same place as your video. Thanks!
My oil cap say 5w-20. Either way you can't go wrong. I mainly use 5w-30 especially in the summer months. Some owners perfer to use 5w-20 depending on where you live in the winter months. Thanks
@@EmilGhiurau I always believe in using what the cap calls for. But I will say this. If the cap calls for 5w-30. That is important especially in the Summer months. In the Winter months you can drop down to 5w-20. Again that is only in the Winter months.

If you’ve changed oil 1,000 times, watch this anyway. The Explorer does have a few little secrets and they’re revealed here. Good work, man.
Thank you Sir!
Thank you for putting oil in the filter. I thought I was the only one lol. I have always did this and wondered if anyone else did. Great video 😊
Thank you for this!!! First timer trying my own change!
I’m gonna do mine tomorrow bro, thanks for that explanation.

My manual asks for a 5w30 not 5w20.

If your milage is over 40k use 5w40 especially in warm States or summer time.

I was gonna say the same thing lol
How many quarters of oil i need for 2017 Ford Explorer thanks
The 3.5 V6 takes 6 quarts of 5W-20.
Nice job and a great demo! Definitely subbed.
Thank you!
Thank you🙏🏽
Nice video! Thanks!
Super 👍😉😀
Synthetic blend or full synthetic?
V6 Explorer sport 2017
I used Synthetic Blend. And change the oil every4000 -5000 miles. If you use Full Synthetic which is fine. You can go a couple thousand miles more.
@@dairleautoclassicrestorati6892 thanks. Also my Explorer Sport oil cap says 5w30
Do you say 5w20 is better?
