Having Multiple Sclerosis that has been in development since 17 and being only 25 (I have a heart condition as well), this band has given me so much inspiration and faith back. I may not live as long as others, I may be on a walker full time by 35 and a wheelchair by 45 and my body may hate me but I standing strong in my faith now. Skillet, thank you for saving me from the darkness so many times. Because of my faith, I will be the future of Pediatric Multiple Sclerosis as I will say that no matter what, when my time comes, I hope they have a cure for children with Multiple Sclerosis.
I am so sorry you have to fight this disease, my mom was diagnosed with MS when I was 6 months old and it took her from me when I was 24. I HOPE and PRAY that they find a cure for this!!! You are in my Prayers.

I don't get why people liked Feel Invincible so much... It felt as any other generic rock, Stars was meh good ...back from the dead was like sick of it so it also meh , But Fee Invincible was the worst one in my opinion.

That would be awesome but thats not how recording works... they separate the stems Guitar stems, Drum Stems etc. and compile them on a computer set. Then they sing.

Yea I wasnt excited for the album after the first 3 songs. Feel invincible was damn good but the other two were so pop like it was disgusting. This brought me bsck on the hype train

I didn’t grow up listening to any kind of rock and honestly wish I did. I was more into r&b, hip hop, etc.. however rock/metal was something I found totally interesting. The way a guitar and drums just mesh together... so LIT!! What’s even more lit is a group of God fearing people who use rock as an outlet.. wow. Just, wow. Thank you Jesus 👏🏽👏🏽
Sort of sad that the only songs I like on there new album is this one and famous, I'm not saying that they aren't good I just miss the old skillet sound, they are beginning to have a more processed sound

But some of you hate Christianity (or religion in general). Here's news for you: Skillet are a Christian band, and in many of their songs, they're singing about God. 'Wtf, no they're not' (or something like that) Go listen to Salvation, or Stars, or the end of Madness In Me (which quotes a reading from Isaiah) What happens when they start singing just about Jesus? What happens when they make worship music? Hey, they already have. Stars is a worship song. Sure, it might not be something you'd sing in church, but John's still singing about how great God is, and that's all worship needs to be. I was baptised as an orthodox but as I grew and informed myself I chose to be an atheist. Yet I have no problem with any religion.I have problem with fanatics and hypocrites who use religion for their own selfish reasons. You have these abusers in every religion and even those who don't belong to any religion can be fanatics as well. That being said I realize that this is a christian band but some of their music is very uplifting and can be taken as having another meaning. For example one of their earlier songs Hero which from the video is clearly about the honoring those who dedicate themselves to helping others or, more recent, Invincible, which to me personally speaks about the power of music itself. Agree. I find that their music is so amazing because it talks about how great God is without needing to mention him. Until recently I though "The Last Night" was about a guy dedicating the song to another girl, instead of the guy being none other than Jesus himself. And even if you weren't a Christian you can still enjoy their music. There is no excuse for being offensive for something you don't like.

Im not a Christian, and most likely never will be, in fact, im an atheistic Buddhist, but Skillet has always been a favorite band of mine. I simply interpret their lyrics and songs in ways that adhere to my life and how i live and what i cherish and love. Family, friends, that sorta thing. This one speaks about starting life over. I have struggled with depression and suicidal thoughts before and this song is one of the many that help get my mind straight. I wish you all, no matter your faith or belief, the absolute best.

I had some suicidal thoughts just last year and they been in the back of my mind ever since then. But after finding this Skillet song just a few days and listening to it, the thoughts are gone I hope they stay gone.
Even though I'm an non-believer, I love how a lot of Skillets songs can be interpreted without religious meaning, it really helps them reach a larger audience.

I'll be honest, even after listening to the entire album 100+ times! my favourite is still this one. I don't know why, it just kinda resonates with my soul, and I can kinda find comfort and courage from it.

When they say that, it brings up my past that was dark as I sit on the ground with black all around me. I made a choice to be different, but it got me know where, 'cause I chose to not believe. I cried for things that happened to me, because of what I did. I chose to date a guy, I chose to not believe, and I chose to hang with the type of friends I'm not suppose to hang around with. With things happening to me, it gets me emotional and I cried more often because I sometimes get treated like I'm the idiot over here from some things I did as I didn't know what I did wrong. My family helped me, and Jesus ripped a hole in the darkness like paper and entered. I'm still struggling, but I'm putting my trust on him. I just listened to this in my room and I cried.
I think it's admirable to be honest with yourself like that. Even as Christians we don't always give full trust to Christ and let him take ahold of our worries and burdens. Either they will make you stronger or break you in. You sir, are living proof of what submitting to God is about and understanding that he truly knows how to make us more resilient. I think I understand where he's coming from. Stars is a really mellow song. It's probably the only one of their songs that would be played in a church. Being a hard rock band, this is a huge change for Skillet. I'm not saying I don't like it. In fact, I'm a Christian and I love the song. However, most of Skillet's songs don't have to be taken with a Christian perspective. They apply in more ways than one which is what makes their music so popular. Everyone can find a meaning they like in their songs. Stars is a song that is very blatantly Gospel and difficult for a non-Christian to enjoy. Although, this is all just assumption and opinion. Don't quote me here, I'm just a rambling 14 year old 😂

It's much softer and gives a bit of a break from all the hard rock, with its electronic tones., which reminds me of earlier albums like "alien youth" and "invincible". Plus it does cater to Christian fans who might have wanted skillet to show their faith a bit more than usual in their songs. I was instantly in love with the song when I heard it. People say it's too pop-y but it's more electronic than pop.

I really feel like this is one of Skillet's best albums. The style of many of the songs call back to previous albums (such as how the instrumentation of this song recalls the style of comatose), while still being original and taking the music in new places. Love this song and this album.
I remember waiting in line in Portland to see them. It was raining. Random people would come up to us asking why we were standing out in the rain. Said, “I’m here to see skillet.” They would give me a face at the name confused. “Food?!” Sure lol.
I love how john,jen and corey was singing on singing on this song. I love also that for how many years skillet hasn't change yet their genre. So bands out there, If this band can maintain their genre why can't you. This is a combination of: COMATOSE+ REBIRTHING + AWAKE AND ALIVE + LAST NIGHT
We're getting industrial, symphonic rock, pop rock, and worship Skillet all in one album. Maybe they intended it this way? Maybe that's why there are so many different flavors of music from different times in the bands history. It is their twentieth anniversary as a band and Comatose's tenth anniversary all this year. Maybe this album is sort of a reflection/homage to their career as a band, hopefully with some completely new things as well. I'm so excited.

Well, I am not too much into rock but I can tell you that this song deserves its place on my playlists. It has something that makes it unique...it expresses freedom and also power. The guitar makes me feel free and everlasting while the drums give me the imposing power of a raging rhino. I didn’t grow up listening to any kind of rock and honestly wish I did. I was more into r&b, hip hop, etc.. however rock/metal was something I found totally interesting. The way a guitar and drums just mesh together... so LIT!! What’s even more lit is a group of God fearing people who use rock as an outlet.. wow. Just, wow. Thank you Jesus 👏🏽👏🏽

Here's news for you: Skillet are a Christian band, and in many of their songs, they're singing about God.

Hey, they already have. Stars is a worship song. Sure, it might not be something you'd sing in church, but John's still singing about how great God is, and that's all worship needs to be.

I was baptised as an orthodox but as I grew and informed myself I chose to be an atheist. Yet I have no problem with any religion.I have problem with fanatics and hypocrites who use religion for their own selfish reasons. You have these abusers in every religion and even those who don't belong to any religion can be fanatics as well. That being said I realize that this is a christian band but some of their music is very uplifting and can be taken as having another meaning. For example one of their earlier songs Hero which from the video is clearly about the honoring those who dedicate themselves to helping others or, more recent, Invincible, which to me personally speaks about the power of music itself. That being said I respect your choice and the fact that you did not go on insulting those who don''t believe or who might have insulted you. Skillet is a great band.

You see, Christianity can be summed up into two things, the two greatest commandments that Jesus gave us: Love God, and love people. Insulting someone is not an act of love, so I won't do it. In the past, sure, I might've, but I'm a very different person to who I was 8 years ago.
And those calling themselves Christians who wouldn't treat you as such, many of them aren't. Christianity isn't just believing in God. Even the demons believe. No, Christianity is a discipleship, following Jesus.
And those who've insulted you who are Christians, I'd say they've come from a past where that got them by, and since becoming a Christian, that part of them hasn't changed. You see, you don't become a Christian and then change to the 'Christian standard' right away. Far from it. Christians aren't perfect, we're just saved. From there on, change tends to be gradual.

Agree. I find that their music is so amazing because it talks about how great God is without needing to mention him. Until recently I though "The Last Night" was about a guy dedicating the song to another girl, instead of the guy being none other than Jesus himself. And even if you weren't a Christian you can still enjoy their music. There is no excuse for being offensive for something you don't like.

Im not a Christian, and most likely never will be, in fact, im an atheistic Buddhist, but Skillet has always been a favorite band of mine. I simply interpret their lyrics and songs in ways that adhere to my life and how i live and what i cherish and love. Family, friends, that sorta thing. This one speaks about starting life over. I have struggled with depression and suicidal thoughts before and this song is one of the many that help get my mind straight. I wish you all, no matter your faith or belief, the absolute best.

When they say that, it brings up my past that was dark as I sit on the ground with black all around me. I made a choice to be different, but it got me know where, 'cause I chose to not believe. I cried for things that happened to me, because of what I did. I chose to date a guy, I chose to not believe, and I chose to hang with the type of friends I'm not suppose to hang around with. With things happening to me, it gets me emotional and I cried more often because I sometimes get treated like I'm the idiot over here from some things I did as I didn't know what I did wrong. My family helped me, and Jesus ripped a hole in the darkness like paper and entered. I'm still struggling, but I'm putting my trust on him. I just listened to this in my room and I cried.

I think I understand where he's coming from. Stars is a really mellow song. It's probably the only one of their songs that would be played in a church. Being a hard rock band, this is a huge change for Skillet. I'm not saying I don't like it. In fact, I'm a Christian and I love the song. However, most of Skillet's songs don't have to be taken with a Christian perspective. They apply in more ways than one which is what makes their music so popular. Everyone can find a meaning they like in their songs. Stars is a song that is very blatantly Gospel and difficult for a non-Christian to enjoy. Although, this is all just assumption and opinion. Don't quote me here, I'm just a rambling 14 year old 😂

It's much softer and gives a bit of a break from all the hard rock, with its electronic tones., which reminds me of earlier albums like "alien youth" and "invincible". Plus it does cater to Christian fans who might have wanted skillet to show their faith a bit more than usual in their songs. I was instantly in love with the song when I heard it. People say it's too pop-y but it's more electronic than pop.

Maybe they intended it this way? Maybe that's why there are so many different flavors of music from different times in the bands history. It is their twentieth anniversary as a band and Comatose's tenth anniversary all this year. Maybe this album is sort of a reflection/homage to their career as a band, hopefully with some completely new things as well. I'm so excited.
Also, since it is Comatose's tenth anniversary this year, maybe this song is a followup or a sequel to it.
we'll considering where their name originally came from, as a band mixing different styles when they started out, it's good that they have some variety in the pan. some soft rock, some hard rock, some electronic etc. its funny because i think they regret calling themselves skillet, but that's what they're know for. i mean they could change the name and it would be the same music but i dunno...

Well, I am not too much into rock but I can tell you that this song deserves its place on my playlists. It has something that makes it unique...it expresses freedom and also power. The guitar makes me feel free and everlasting while the drums give me the imposing power of a raging rhino. I have also tried other songs from your albums and I find this one to be the best among all. I WANT TO LIVE
