As a guy who was: born in Northern California, grew up in Eugene (Oregon), lived a couple years in Seattle, and a couple years now in Southern California... I give Fred's West Coast accents my stamp of full approval!
I’ve lived in all the same places & agree
qmcguire almost spit out my coffee when he did San Diego! 😂 So accurate.
As a Swede these are absolutely hilarious. Wished I was born there
The Collufornyuns
@@olllem7 it's never too late?
I could a listened to a whole hour of that. It's amazing that in these days of mass media that accents even still exist, and yet they seem stronger than ever and as regional as ever.
1:29 that's a very nice way of saying that Seattle is the most condescending accent. They always sound like they're teaching you how to read, and they're surprised that you're actually learning.
SOURCE: I'm from Seattle, and yes every word is a little gift. youre welcome.
lmao thank you Nick
*you're. And thank you.
😄
I had a friend from San Diego and I could never get over how their accent always sounds like someone who's high on life as opposed to my Bay Area accent that's more serious
Yup lived in SD and was amazed at how stereotypical their accent is
I do notice that for some reason we have this obsession with sounding like we are stoned all the time. Mainly the more younger people. The older adults are more direct
See now you got me thinking and i didnt realize how often i say " mellow out mannn" or "hell yeahh thanks dude thats sick" until now
His Seattle is so true. Every word is a gift, due to the freeze
His San Francisco is spot on. For example, Adam Savage
Can confirm. Grew up in Minneapolis. Now live in Seattle. Both of Fred's accents for those cities are accurate. Also, would really love an hour of Fred just speaking in his Portland accent - ASMR heaven.
Straight to jail.
ehsweaters
Over cook, straight to jail. Under cook, jail. Under, over.
Devon???? wwwwyyyyuuuudar you doing here?
Fred is a gift to the world😍
Bring him to your G spot
Every word is a gift - jesus sooo true for seattle
I love when he does this
What the hell is MLEP(CLAY)NOS doing here ..??
When he got to San Diego it killed me 😂
shout out to the worker at team coco still uploading during the quarantine. you da real mvp.
My Aunt met Conan on the train when he and his now wife were on the way to get married.
that's so cute 💛
World's coolest story award.
Train from where to where?
Your Aunt is a he 😂😂😂
@@MarvinMonroe From here to there
Finally someone gets the Seattle accent right (don't forget about how we pronounce "bag" thought!)
Don't forget, 99% of being a Seattleite is look down at their phone and being boring, with occasional paroxysms of irrational outrage.
@@youtubecensors5419 lol sounds like you had a rough visit to Seattle
@@schylerbrown7364 I'm from Seattle.
Thanks for this video
Fred is great~!
Boa noite, uma boa entrevista sensacional.Adorei o vídeo.
Lol😂 Fred is awesome👍💜
Dude all my friends from LA definitely noticed my San Diego influence
Brilliant
RELEASE THE REMOTES
please
what is "REMOTES"
Yes, we want all the remotes 🙏
@@heojunyeong It's when Conan goes places outside the studio and interacts with different people in different settings. He's gone to several other countries as well. I'm having a hard time explaining it for some reason, but they are hilarious. Do a youtube search, you won't regret it!
@@angelamitchinson8439 thank you for your explanation.
I'm from San Diego...and yes 😂
Seattleite here. He frickin' nailed my accent. I'm just as he described plus extra because I liked helping my little brothers with their homework and teaching them stuff. I've been told I'm very good at telling funny stories and explaining things but so are a lot of my friends and family. I wonder if it because a good slice of Seattleites are always reading books everywhere so we think like a narration.
I love that San Diego accent from the Californians. 🤣🤣🤣
This is true 👍👏
Bravo, Fred!!! You've studied well!
Awesome
Grazie....
The moment he started teh Chicago impression I thought it was Nick from New Girl
Dear Team Coco
Please have Jordan Schlansky do a video on coronavirus preventive measures.
Fred is best
I’m from Seattle Washington
Doesn't he do this same bit every time he is on a late night show?
I don't mind, it's arguably his best bit, and one of the best comedy bits period!
That sounds like a “you” problem..good luck
When I'm gonna eat tacos, I always pronounce it the way I would imagine a Wisconsin mom pronounces it to her kids, with that Y thrown there before the A. "Alright kids, lets go gyet some tyakkohs"
San Diego one s quite accurate
I didnt realize that was the accent of minneapolis, now i realize it lmao
Interesting..he really got the San Francisco accent spot on
Are they still filming with live audiences ?
what happened to conan's interview with Chuck Barris ??? 😳
Portland! Hahaha
Conan would be watching his own remotes here, locked down at home...
This isnt a remote.
San Diego was funny
Chicago Armisen: don't gointa the sausage factory
Documentary Now! fans, unite!
As a San Diegan.... he ain’t wrong.
Fred Armisen was a part of my heavy anxiety attack last year.
Southern California - every syllable matters....
stay and play games in home Conan
We want the state of Jamaica 🤣🤣🤣
The Californians gasped
Didn't he do this bit on Conan a couple years ago?
He looks like a budget friendly Tom Hanks
I dont know him personally but as an entertainer and comedian hes one of the best around imo
You don’t know him personally?! Wow
He looks like Steven Mnuchin
Whatareyoudoinere??
i thought he was crying in the thumbnail
hasn't he already done this on this show?
what date was this recorded
sometime between 1947 and 2100 I suspect
@@AaronRClark Always knew Dad knew his stuff
This is from 2019
I still remember this from when it was live. You can't bring stuff back so quickly
It wasn't on his UA-cam channel yet. I enjoyed and yes he can.
Now do New Hampsha.
I have the typical "Diego Drawl" myself. It's probably the weed.
where my NY nigas at? YERRRR
Yeeerrrrrr
isn't he from Brooklyn 99?
Aaditya Golash no
Yep he's Mlep(clay)nos
I’m sorry but being from Montana myself, his “Montana accent” sounds nothing like Montana. 😂😂
Yeah that was bizarre - maybe celebrities who have a summer home in MT
Fred - yinz can't do Picksburgh, can yinz? Trenchmouth was a good band, though, when they played dahn'a Upstage Lahnge.
DEVEN, WHAARYUDOINERE??
Hola desde Madrid, the Terror City
Im from Chicago and when ever I hear a so called Chicago accent im like who tf talks like that?
It's a "working class Irish" accent here. Bridgeport, Beverly, Mt. Greenwood and the southwest suburbs are full of white folks that talk like that.
Fred would have a field day in Boston
People in Minneapolis don’t talk like that at all
We don't think we do, but we kinda do.
its a bit, they're not supposed to be super accurate
Same for Montana
Yes, his mpls accent sounded like Obama! Not even close. But I still appreciate his breadth.
Im a female human from San Diego and he’s not wrong. He basically stole my voice
hi mlepnos
Melepnos
I bet he can't do Cincinnati.
Reinforcing stereostypes of states around the country? Jail.
I think Colorado is the only state that doesn’t have an accent lol
Everybody has an accent actually.
So sorry Fred, only Californians that moved to Montana talk like that
not long enough,
New Yorkers pronounce donkey DUNKEY, try unhearing that!
What about corona
I have lived in San Diego for 12 years and not one person have I heard talk like that in San Diego.
Fred skips the middle states..Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, the Dakotas, Colorado, Utah...
Half of Wisconsin is Chicago, the other half is just more Minnesota
Elizabeth moss
when will it take people to realize southern Californians DO NOT talk like surfer dudes
Fred was on a show doing his accent bit and was asked by a woman if he could do a Jamaican accent. Fred, in his most woke Portland based fashion tells her that that would come off as racist, then immediately stars talking like a Mexican and a Cuban. You woke folks are funny.
uhhhh.....people in Montana dont speak like that at all
... it's a bit
Chicago was WAYYYYYY wrong
i disagree. My science teacher is from chicago and she moved to missouri and i think he was spot on b
@@sophiabranson5232 having lived there most of my life I can say I've never heard a native sound like that.
Montanan's don't sound like that at all.
Montanans
Ask a man to do accents, interrupt immediately when does each one.
And yet, he can't do a Californian accent at all, as seen in the "Californians" skits. ;)
uuuhwuhderYUudoingere?
Who the Fk is Jimmy Fallon? Conan is the Best.
I can't see any difference.
I just came from Fallon interview with this guy and that was so boring unlike Conan.
I love this guy!
