My snack box micro hitbox should be shipping out next week, been waiting a couple months for it but I'm pumped to use it. I realized my stick movement from my thumb on a controller was causing all my pain in GGST. Buttons for directional inputs will be a godsend. Played a little on my keyboard and it felt so much better but need more space for my fat fingers, haha.
as someone who’s wrists start hurting everytime i play fighting games for an extended period of time and who also has other very wrist-strenuous hobbies, ive really been looking at this to make certain inputs easier while still maintaining the intuitiveness of a regular stick (basically necessary as a goldlewis player lol)
I use a standard hitbox and love it... Gosh do I wish they had a cross up that had the hitbox buttons on the left. I've seen customs like that and if I knew how to build and wire one I'd do it. Not sure I have any idea how I'd use the extra buttons lol but I feel like more is better every time, especially with the range of options for re programming them. Maybe one day!
I love the cross up, the team at hit box are so friendly and helpful. They sent me two cables because the one i got wasn't working. I find that the crossup itself was less useful for what I thought it would be like execution (although 2626S is really nice), but super useful and worth the money for random things like blocking and dashing.
I think the game where the cross up would be the most useful is probably tekken, you can guarantee do electrics and you cant really fuck it up. I know a lot of people got really upset over it because it takes away the whole wasting your life away trying to do electrics consistently, is what it is. Maybe its unfair, would still use it if I had it tho lmao
Good video, I have a lot more to say I think I'm going to work on my own video. "Hitbox Crossup, the most misunderstood controller" If I were a competitor like you using crossup I would probably put an odin WASD converter in it for maximum consistency. Sticks are fun tho
Really cool video. The tech is a bit beyond me, though. I’m still just learning a stick and it’s not going well. To be honest, I wish I had gone with my gut and gotten a hitbox or mixbox(the one with keyboard keys) when I started learning FGs because I think being a keyboard using PC player, that would have been easier. OR I wish I’d just learned on a pad even. But I got my drone and got my obsidian, so I’m now committed to learning stick I guess!
I started with stick and hated learning it so I got the Hitbox and have never looked back. Extra $250 gone but completely worth it, it’s so well built I have no doubts it’ll last a very long time
@@Diaphone gotcha. I mean I wish my quarters circles on stick were as good as hitbox and I wish my hitbox half circles and tiger knee were as good as my stick. Was hoping the crossup would get me the best of both worlds. 🤣
I literally just ordered my first stick. Its just a budget mayflash stick but I'm definitely interested in this stick if i end up liking it more than pad
Hey just a quick tip. I got my first stick a bit more than a year ago and I'm only just getting back my movement skills. It will take some getting used to so don't give up. Also you can always practice stick some and play pad when you are serious untill you feel comfortable. Good luck
@@samthemessiah9330 you will get the hang of it. Just treat it as a fun hobby and you will eventually wanna switch over fully. I feel like I have to use it now lol
@granddaddyfunk ive made a ton of progress already. I just picked up undernight today bc i figured why not learn a new game on a new controller and I'm having a blast with it
Do you still use the crossup/used it recently? I bought one once but sold it like a week later since it felt too gimmicky. I enjoyed stick or hitbox more but not a two in one lol. Kinda want to give it a second shot.
Are you able to remap the top 3 buttons above the punch buttons? For example, in SFV instead of hitting 2 buttons for v-trigger can I just map it to 1 button above?

Why did you even buy this if you weren't going to use the extra buttons? Why are you concerned about legality if it has SOCD cleaning and you understand what that means? Daigo's box got banned for not cleaning SOCD three whole years ago, and since then there have been hundreds if not thousands of pro hitbox players in tournament. You can just watch combo breaker 2022, they're everywhere. I'm so confused by this, what a waste of 10 minutes.
@@Diaphone Yes, friend. That is exactly the point. Hitbox SOCD cleans, therefore it's tournament legal, therefore you should stop being afraid of extra buttons and learn to use the stick you bought!
"What I learned using the Cross Up for 8 months: The things you can learn in the product description because I don't use the defining features. Controller Bans are REAL out here"
The reason this stick is so controversial is because once it was said "a pad player can do it to" a pad player has to commit to the movement tech at a higher risk with 0 to none options of attacks, while on a cross up 0 effort and skill needed to do things people spent year's learning and mastering, if I'm wrong please pull this tech off on a pad in a match and attack at the same time, I'll wait for the video...
@@cntrvsy an ok point but not nearly at the same level of a cross up, which is why a certain game called Tekken had to allow binds in T7 (look it up was not allowed in older tournaments/games) to deal with mix boxes and hit boxes having that advantage, due to the delay most controllers have. Idk about you but I prefer Tekken and do play pad and have played claw, it's controversial, but I'm not saying it's a cheat box, it just can be depending on the situation...
@@thetruekrazzey9181 Pad players were able to bind the shoulder buttons even in Tekken Tag 1 days, the game itself provided the option so we all did it
Thank you for mentioning pads. The dualshock 4 has been capable of SOCD exploits (great for charge characters) for several years, yet no ban.
That part blew my mind, I can’t wait to try that when I get home. Have been struggling with the concept of fuzzy blocks and jumps ever since I started
Yes lets ban a controller 1/3
Of the people use
Deberían prohibirlo
Not sure if a crossup is worth it for me personally but it is amusing how you brought up how it’s an optimal stick for T Bagging.
As an I-No player who just got their crossup stick, I appreciate this video

Now that i see this tbag demo im totally sold
LOL. I think hitbox is probably the best controller technically… but I think crossup #1 for teabag ability for sure haha

Yep. I'm also eyeing one like that myself. We don't have to compromise between the two. Why is that hard for manufacturers to get?
Get one from ENTH Creations ;-) limited run of 10 controllers in the layout you want became available a couple weeks ago, there might be one left.
Thinking about getting one just for parry/drive impacts in SF6 lol

Legality is based around which socd mode you have enabled. As long as you have opposites cancel but jump wins, you'll be fine.

is this allowed on the next capcom pro tour?
Can you use a brook wing man stick so you can play it on ps5?
ps4 mode on ps5 is what i do
Would be weird switching back to ball top after playing bat top for so long.
$299 and the rivets fall out or random faulty lever? ok

Why don't they just have the games clean the socd inputs as these would still be problem online.

How would games like Tekken,VF, DOA, SC benefit from a hybrid layout like the Crossup? You'd either choose a regular Hitbox or a regular arcade stick

It seems to be the ultimate controller. Some say that hitbox is the best controller but it's too bad for doing circle moves
