I looked though your entire catalog of this channel and I can't find the "on road demo" video that you mentioned in this video. It's probably my poor searching skills, however I would really appreciate it if anyone could direct me to the video. I'm buying a new truck next month and I won't go without having the deluxe version of this thermal package. I won't install it myself but I find the process interesting. O bough the Flir one cameras as they were released and I've found so much use for them that, god willing, I'll never go without having them around me going forward. Thankyou for the video. I'll subscribe.
Hi there, sorry about that! We have not had a chance to make that demo video yet, things are busy around here and it fell thru the cracks. For now you can check out this video from FLIR which shows the camera in use on the road, but keep in mind that the individual videos have been cropped and will appear larger when installed on your vehicle: ua-cam.com/video/XhD-tq-S7iU/v-deo.html
So, how does it work in rain and snow? Looking to mount one on my Class 8 Tractor Trailer. Scariest thing in a big rig is not being able to see the road or the vehicle in front of you that you know is hitting the brakes all of a sudden.
I have one mercedes s500 cabriolet in Luxembourg 🇱🇺, the night vision camera is identical but is not working because the front glass from the camera is broken , were can i get the glass our the camera ? In mercedes they want 3000 eur for the camera 🎥 …. Ho my good
If the camera is FLIR, you can contact them directly and see if the camera is still in warranty. If not, we would recommending contacting the camera manufacturer directly (whether that is Mercedes or a different third party company).
You should be able to get this install done at any automotive electronics shop. Some Best Buy locations also have an auto shop for electronics work like this.
I'm not sure if you're available but I have a few questions regarding the installation and operation on my vehicle. It is installed now but I'm not getting any of the pedestrian Detection. Was yours operational, and are you able contact?
For our install, this feature was active from the start (we used the PD/AD model). It's possible that you purchased the base model which does not include the PD/AD feature - see the links in the video description for each different model. If you do have the PD/AD version, you might find additional help through FLIR support: www.flir.com/support/products/pathfindir-ii#Overview
@@TEquipment You were correct. After a week of troubleshooting with both Flir and my tech we found the unit to NOT be the PD AD model. The confusion was the advertisement showed it was! Very frustrating. OP is offering to send me the correct model. Thanks, for the very accurate reply. Wish It would have been last week lol. J
Hello! Unfortunately, we cannot say for sure which switch was used in this video, but most automotive electronic shops should be able to help you find the right switch and even help with installation.
Hello! Unfortunately, we no longer offer this unit, but you can find an authorized dealer with the configurations you need by clicking "find a dealer" on FLIR's site here: bit.ly/3Pk9MeE You can also try finding the unit second hand from a store like eBay.
We can't say for certain that it would work as we are not familiar with Switch Pros equipment. We did a custom wiring job with a relay to add in our switch. In theory you should be able to still use a relay like we did and just connect your trigger wire for the switch directly to the Switch Pros wiring harness.
I cannot comment on this with any certainty. You can try to call us at (877) 571-7901 or email Sales@TEquipment.NET and reference this specific product - we have Certified Thermographers on-staff who might know the answer. Otherwise, you may need to contact FLIR directly to get an answer.
The basic concept of installing an automotive electrical accessory will be the same, yes - you will still need to find a mounting location for the camera and ECU, and you will need to pick a power source (direct to battery w/ trigger wire OR direct to fuse box) and hook up the ECU to your vehicle's head unit. These aspects are the same for all vehicles. What will differ on your 2018 Pacific are the specific details - your mounting locations will likely be different and you may need to find another way to route your wires through the vehicle firewall. If you are unsure about installing an electrical accessory in your vehicle, we recommend you contact a professional installer.
@@TEquipment I appreciate the info. Thankfully, I do have a tech helping me. We are looking for an upgraded monitor beside the Flir 7" model. Great video and very insightful. Looking forward to more! J
We can confirm that BMW uses FLIR technology in some of their vehicles. FLIR is one of the largest thermal camera manufacturers in the world and the company is an OEM for many vehicle manufacturers.
We do sell this package on our site - you can find it here: bit.ly/2wSWhLu We don't offer installation services. That said, you should be able to take it to a local automotive audio/electrical shop or Best Buy and have them do the install.

The real question is how well does this work at around 200mph
Really well for cannonball runs
200mph? in this car?
Does Philipe do installs in NJ, I have a 2012 FJ cruiser I want to do this install on.

What’s the point in the relay? The wiring diagram supplied bypasses it’s only function.
Sorry, the diagram was drawn incorrectly. The power coming from the battery and the switch should be on their own separate connections to the relay.
Would this be similar for a 2018 Pacifica?
