Most cops don’t really use their radios for stuff like that around here they use their computers and email and instant message each other for the simple fact that police scanners are so readily available and can tip off criminals to what the police are doing.
Yea my grandpas old scanner is a novelty anymore. You might hear ambulances and the jails around here with it but the cops are rarely on it. You could hear sirens going have it on and get nothing but dead air. And in a town with 6 cops on duty being a lot 3 at night you’d expect to hear something but not even dispatch announces stuff over the radios anymore
The TCAS system is crazier. It's a system designed for planes to receive a warning and an emergency change of course if they are about to have a near in-air-collision. So they were somehow using it to test for near aircraft and even if it didnt alert to to a near crash it may still be able to detect other aircraft by way of whatever process happens to determine if they were about to crash.
I'm more impressed that they thought to use TCAS, a system nobody knows about unless they work in aviation. ADS-B would have been a cheaper solution but I doubt all the police aircraft are equipped if they're not flying into controlled airspace. What I'd like to know is how they were able to get TCAS in without having TCAS out. TCAS out would have immediately alerted any aircraft in the area. To be honest now that I'm thinking about it... I don't know of many small aircraft that have TCAS? Usually it's large commercial aircraft.
@@mitchellroberts7954 I know about it because I binge watch air crash investigations. Very popular show and would expose a lot of people to basic details on very advanced systems. Some people are saying that they just used ads-b ONLY.
Best stealth scheme? Paint it bright yellow and write “taxi” on it. Second best? Plain “government” white. Add a few stickers (“Official use only”). Ease off on the window tint. No obvious black boxes on the dash.
The German autobahn experience indicates that speed limits on rural freeways have little or no effect on accident rates. It is also interesting to compare Germany with Poland. There are speed cameras everywhere in Poland and their road fatality rate is double Germany’s.
speed limits are one of those 'crimes' that depend on having an officer or other means of recording there to witness it. It does not matter at all if you did not get caught. you could literally go up to a cop and tell them you just drove across the country in 26 hours at speeds in excess of 130 mph, and they would probably just walk away. without a hit on their radar gun they have nothing to ticket you for that will hold up in court.
@@TalonPro I don't know about that... Many years ago, I sat in on traffic court. Guy was clocked going 40 mph in a 30 zone, but cop was busy with another speeder. After a few minutes, he drove down the road and found a house with the offending car parked in the driveway. Long story, shot, he issued a ticket and it ended up in court. With the driver on the stand, being questioned by the prosecutor, the guy claims he wasn't speeding at 40 mph, and that the radar unit was probably not calibrated properly. Prosecutor asks what he does for a living - says he is the radar technician at Westwood Raceway. After a few minutes, the court goes quiet as they listen to this guy talk about the proper way to calibrate radar units and how easy it is for them to be wrong. Really fascinating stuff! The prosecutor is just about to sit down, when he turns suddenly to the driver and asks "How fast were you going?" The guy immediately responds "About 32, maybe 33 mph." The court clerk burst out laughing! Judge says "Guilty by self-admission!"
LittleBigParardise If the car in front wasn't there...then the driver of the genuine car could get jail, either way someone could, that's the whole point of a car in front preventing them getting caught 😂
I'm not sure how necessary it is. I think the cost is prohibitive and they don't actually do that anymore. I'd be interested to hear if anyone has been pulled over in the past 10 years due to aircraft clocking you. If they start doing it again, it will probably be drones.
TraxCS mostly for being able to unidentify the car. Police radios for silver car at high rate of speed. Not silver Mercedes e-class. At 100+ you don’t see the thermal camera
Let's say for whatever reason during the run the cops got his first license plate number and are looking for him. So before the run he changed the registration on the car so he has a second license plate that he can put on that is a completely different number and will come up clean in their system.
Drive a old Buick, usually vehicle driven by seniors. If you looked at the car, you would not think it would not haul the road, but it surprisingly hauls the road well with the 3800 Supercharged motor.
If you want to get the thermal working excellent, get rid of the ATN.. go with a FLIR PTS536. And a better gimble. The guys over at TNVG will sort you out.
Right! ATN is trash. I'm working on a Raytheon sensor that's mounted just behind the grill on my pickup, mostly for deer/ coyote avoidance at night. Trying to find some IR transparent material for a "shield" has been an issue, as I really don't want stones and whatnot to bugger up the germanium lens.
Nowadays provigil (modafinil) or nuvigil (armodafinil) are much more effective than adderal or meth and don't leave you strung out. For a previous move, I drove from San Antonio to Los Angeles at "slightly over the limit" speeds with provigil. Worked great, then slept like a log.
Definitely a good choice of car. I bet something like a realtor beige Cayenne Turbo would work great too. Lots of room, plenty of speed and looks like a random SUV as it whips past.
So how is no one talking about the fact that they had 2 sets of license plates so they could swap them out.....this is why they’re the new record holders! These guys are thinking outside the box in many ways!
Nebraska is a long way from Georgia and Kyle seems to only travel to race events. Though I agree, I’d love to hear some more of his stories even though most of them are in 1320 videos already lol.
How does registering the car to different plates would help you to stay out of trouble if DMV has your name in their records for both of the plates the new and old ones.
If cops ask why you have the same plate it’s just hasn’t came in the mail yet. Better yet if you get to many tickets just swap the tags and it will just add different layers of confusion making it easier to lie about what have you
Not only that.. but if they put out a search for XCV-091 and even if they know the owner, cops will look for that plate.. only. So if you swap to SJV-821 and pass a cop looking for xcv... he wont bother stopping you.
DVolt Z but both plates need to be registered to the same type of car and most cops pull over a car matching description and run the vin number not the plates for this reason
At one time it was discussed picking up police car radios that are on receive only, not transmitting. Because a receiving radio is also a low level transmitter, because of the heterodyne required to listen/receive. tune to the correct frequencies and you can place them within 3/4 to 1.25 miles ahead. and with 'doppler shift' if they are behind or ahead
The white lines thing is true for every state except PA. The local police aren’t allowed to use any radar guns by law (state police can) so the local police have to use the white lines to give out speeding tickets. You’ll see them everywhere and it makes it easy to avoid speeding tickets. Just memorize where all the lines are on your route and slow down when you go through them and you’re good!
I am a fuddy-duddy. I never go over the speed limit, unless I'm going with the flow of traffic if it's no more than 15% of posted limit. I always stop at stop signs, and never run reds. I always signal changing lanes and turning corners. I'm the ultimate Mr. Invisible.

poopsockin' and piss bottle bombs. The 2-wheel record holder wore a catheter.
So they stopped four times over 26 hours, that's 5.2 hours between stops (5 segments, 4 stops) - that's easily doable on a normal bladder, and you really could go a day+ without a deuce as well. It's probably not as big of an issue as people ask about.
Most cops don’t really use their radios for stuff like that around here they use their computers and email and instant message each other for the simple fact that police scanners are so readily available and can tip off criminals to what the police are doing.
Lol. I can verify this.
Yep that's what I did, and Nextels walkie talkie feature.
Bruh they really out here, using a thermal scope
@@mitchellroberts7954 also an alert from them on the ground would either seem unrelated or like a glitch. Wouldnt set off any suspicions.
@Anton Zuykov May 2020 for aircraft who plan on operating in the Mode C veil. There will be thousands of aircraft who aren't required to have ADS-B.

Did this guy just confess to a bunch of crimes? 😂😂
"In minecraft"
Doesnt matter, without proof he cant be prosecuted and his evidence cant be taken as proof because you have the right to not incriminate yourself.
laws and crimes are subjective my guy
speed limits are one of those 'crimes' that depend on having an officer or other means of recording there to witness it.
The prosecutor is just about to sit down, when he turns suddenly to the driver and asks "How fast were you going?"
The guy immediately responds "About 32, maybe 33 mph."
The court clerk burst out laughing!

"Ahh, the old Bandit and Snowman trick!"
Considering the speed that they go, that could result in the sacrificial victim visiting jail.
LittleBigParardise If the car in front wasn't there...then the driver of the genuine car could get jail, either way someone could, that's the whole point of a car in front preventing them getting caught 😂

The aircraft collision software is a great idea for doing high speed drives like this. I would have never thought about that.
I'm not sure how necessary it is. I think the cost is prohibitive and they don't actually do that anymore. I'd be interested to hear if anyone has been pulled over in the past 10 years due to aircraft clocking you. If they start doing it again, it will probably be drones.

@@starcraftgod1212123 what he said^
DVolt Z but both plates need to be registered to the same type of car and most cops pull over a car matching description and run the vin number not the plates for this reason
@@pwners4u true I can see that, but there always a chance there wasn't a good description, having a plain or popular car is always helpful too

3:41 Fricken' AMAZING.
