I recently failed in my senior semester of respiratory school, by 1 point in my critical care course, I was depressed and devastated but after watching your vlogs and listening to you, i'm now enlisting back in school for nursing and to later become a DNP.
I have been watching your vids for a long time but never comment. I LOVE your videos and the confidence you exude. I am a NS so I get where you are coming from (the struggle). In any case, I wanted to say that I am proud that you opened up about the abuse you suffered and know it is not your fault at all! I am beyond sorry your went through that but glad you managed to stay strong. I know it must have been tough but look at you, still making it. I also loved how you took the time out for self care. You listened to yourself and went home to deal. As women, bw, we are always deemed as strong and like nothing effects us when that is far from the truth. Listening to oneself is important. You needed this. It is a hard subject (which I also dread in my training and career) but you dealing with it & that is key. Keep taking care of yourself. Love your motivation, passion, strength, smile and determination.

You know, you always make me feel inspired and like I am doing a fantastic job by never giving up, in my heart and in my mind and in the physical. Even when I feel like I fell short, and like I could have done better, should have known better to do better....you always remind me in your own way, probably without you even knowing that its not over unless I quit on me. That every day is a day to boss up in my own life, to grind harder, to dream big and do the work. A lot of times we are fearful of walking our own journey, being different and sometimes we are scared of being like that person we heard about because they didn't make it or because we cant see it. Atleast I have, and I realized that when I thought this way, I way in my own way. But, you... This is my first time watching one of your videos and my overall feeling was wow this is so motivational. Then when you started talking about domestic abuse, it hit home because I too was in a similar situation and the crazy part was that I never thought I would ever deal or put up with something like that, until I was in it. Even now it’s been over 8 years, recently got married and while think about my blessings I can’t help but to think of what I have overcome. Sometime I get so mad at myself because I knew I was stronger than that situation but for some reason I couldn’t shake it at the time. It gets better with time.
I don't really comment on your videos, but I just wanted to encourage you and just know that God is with you and sometimes God allow us to go through things so you can be a light to someone else! Always keep God first! I also enjoy your videos 😉.

Are you part of the morning workout crew too? We had to do some difficult patient interviews in our behavioral med/psych unit last block and it was difficult even with patient actors. I don't really comment on your videos, but I just wanted to encourage you and just know that God is with you and sometimes God allow us to go through things so you can be a light to someone else! Always keep God first! I also enjoy your videos 😉.

Are you part of the morning workout crew too? We had to do some difficult patient interviews in our behavioral med/psych unit last block and it was difficult even with patient actors. It's gonna be intense during rotations and on with real patients. Thanks for sharing your story, and props for being a strong person.
I'm only 39 sec in and I had to give a thumbs up. I'm really struggling to discipline myself to wake up early and go to the gym consistently, but it's... a process. Lol Anyhow, I'm so glad you're on this platform.
