Positioned dithering might make this weirdly usable. I did some what-if nonsense, once, reducing all textures and the colormap to 1-bit. Shrank the viewport to its minimum. Set DOSbox to skip nine out of ten frames. Made it as far as that imp killbox on E1M4.
This feels more like an April 1st post than a Friday the 13th post.
