Another wonderful video Norm. Like Edward said , sad to see the resort looking desolated and run down. Just wondering if and when you'll be making your way down to Tassie for the wooden boat festival early next year? Keep up the great work and looking forward to your next video. Cheers jerome

      Thanks Jerome.
I'm on my way south at present, the vids are a little behind as I was having a pretty good time in Airlie and was a bit slack with the editing, but are catching up again now.
I have a bit to do on the way south and will haul out in Bundaberg for a couple of weeks and are delivering a cruising talk there on the 10th Nov. for the Port to Port Rally. Further south after that and a friend who needs a hand with some fibreglassing on the Gold Coast. I may run out of time to take the boat down, but may visit by car this year. Will have to wait and see how it all falls into place.
Thanks again for the comments mate.

Great video Norm! So sad to see that beautiful resort in ruins! Someone, somewhere could still make a go of it, just throw lots of money at it! That is the first time you have shown hoisting up the hook. I didn't know you had to pull it up manually! Does it have an electric option? On another note, that outfit you were wearing for several days must have been getting a bit "rank" and perhaps you should change it once in awhile........must be that bachelor thing. HA HA Could that be why you keep losing First Mates?

      Yeah Edward
Agree about the resort, a real shame when you've seen it thriving with guests.
The winch don't have no electricity, but I get a good upper body workout every time I lift the pick and it's very reliable and problem free.
As far as the clothes go... I wash em every night.
Only joking it is a bachelor thing, but I do change daily when in company, unless I'm trying to get crew to leave. Ha Ha.
Thanks for the comments and cheers.

      Hi Mark,
The Wooden Boat Festival is held in Hobart Tasmania, biannually. It's a great show. Traditional boats in a very historic setting. Hope I make it down for Feb next year.
      Thanks for the comment.
