- Midsommar is beautiful and terrifying. Taking place mostly during the daytime was a bold move. The juxtaposition just works. Mental illness, depression and the occult are in full display without the cover of darkness and it just works. May take some time before a re-watch, this was heavy!

Midsommar is trending a couple of days ago not only cuz its summer solstice, but one of the best kpop group from South Korea called Red Velvet (theyre known to really embrace creepy & cultish concepts in a very very colorful & light songs) released a song titled Cosmic, where the music video was heavily inspired by midsommar.
