Wow. That comment about not holding deer all day and night, just holding them longer than your neighbor is gold. I never heard that before and it makes such good sense. Thats a thousand dollar tip right there.
Haha I tried lol. But it’s the truth. On very large land yeah you can maybe hold them most the time but let’s be real. Most of us have 100 acres of less heck most clients I go to are about 50 or less. All we need to do it make it more interesting so they spend more time there and slow them down
I think it’s a great idea if you can do it in some cases. I like the idea of burning fields up here in the north more than woods. Down in those southern states burning in the woods is a good idea.
Thanks , Have tried this before but never ended up what I wanted . When is the best time to cut and get stumps to resprout ? I know that I have a hard time cutting enough trees .
@@stevebrown3408 biggest issue is not cutting enough. When you don’t cut enough you don’t get enough sunlight and you won’t get the regeneration. Best time to flush cut would be anytime in the winter before spring green up. Best time for hinge cutting would be when the temps are above freezing in most cases before spring green up.

In this world of instant gratification. A little sweat equity and time, makes it much sweeter. Love this stuff, keep it coming.
Absolutely agree everything takes time some things faster then others but usually always has a reward from hard work 🙏
Good work and information, much appreciated for sharing.

You can have this change without lifting a finger. Just wait for winter to end and summer to come.
