A good budget alternative for Dust To Dust is Shattering Blow. It only exiles one artifact, but makes up for it by being one less mana and is instant speed.
Love this deck! Just played it first time at my local and ended up getting 4th/20, pretty happy with that haha how has the deck performed for you? Just a thing about sagas, they actually trigger first thing in the main phase, not during the draw phase. Not super relevant for modern age, but very relevant for urza's saga in modern, so you can tap it to float mana before it gets sacrificed
Oh, this is absolutely my favorite Pauper deck! Get ready! The next episode of Paper Pauper Player is Boros Synth vs Caw Gates! It performs well! Control is always about the player, not the deck itself. I've yet to come first place with it, but it's my favorite archetype and colors so I don't care! Lol I said after the draw step. You're right that it is at the beginning of your main phase, but I felt it was easier to word it as " after draw step, before main" so people didn't think they could do other things before it. Idk. I guess it is weird that I worded it that way lol but I did say AFTER draw step
I'm not in a position to rewatch my video but I'm like 70% sure I mentioned this. If I didn't and I'm just wrong, then thank you for bringing it up! Because true!
Lol Temporal Isolation + Boomerang lol Enchant your beater with Temp Iso. And swing batter. Between fake outs of shadow (unblockable) and it deals no combat damage. It would sneak by. Before combat damage is dealt/tallied. Boomerang the enchantment and boost it with the Gates. Lmao
2 reasons. 1. Evolving Wilds puts the land onto the battlefield tapped. Ash Barrens on the other hand allows you to put the land into your hand, so then you can play it for your turn untapped. 2. After about turn 3, you can just play Ashe Barrens as a land because it taps for colorless. So on turn 4, you can still have 4 mana, instead of 3 mana and a tapped basic!
@@paperpauperplayer thanks for the insight I'm really enjoying your channel and explanations! I hope you do some kind of blink deck soon! I love ephemerate especially with the strixhaven jp mystical archive art.
@sphealchill87 stay tuned then! I really want to play familiars - but here's my thing. I don't want to open a deck and not be able to explain all the things it can do clearly. Those decks for me, I have a hard time clearly explaining every little interaction in those decks. But in due time! Right now my queue is Bogles, mono green tron, and Gruul Cascade. Then probably Famaliars afterwards. But I'm glad you're enjoying the content! Thank you for the support 💛
I enjoy the videos but it low key triggers me that you cut the tape on the boxes the cards come in when card kingdom folds little tabs in the tape for you to pull it off easily LMFAO
@@paperpauperplayer they usually fold the tape over on the top in my experience but one time it was on the bottom for me. you can just play with the tape a bit and see where it's loose. it's actually really satisfying tbh
@@caleb-gf6gr well we'll see if it tears on me or not lol. Bad news for you though, next two videos have already been recorded with the God forsaken knife. Lol

Shattering blow is definitely a good card!
Don’t worry bout the mismatched Dispel. I bet that’s the one going in the sideboard
I have like 4 different Dispels in my binder. I was able to rematch them lol
Just discovered your channel. Love your content! Really informative and entertaining!
Thank you so much, boss! Glad you enjoyed the video! 🥰

In so early the video is still at 360p. lol. I'll come back. #TooGrainy
LMFAO fair. I should have uploaded it early so it would process all the way
Here’s a tip why to play ash barrens. Use the cycling to shuffle away your bird after brainstorming.

I'll do you one better - Aqueous Form 😉
OMG, 3 brainstorm seens very wrong.
The best of the deck is hawck+cantrip draw 3.
Yeah Brainstorm is kinda ridiculous lol
I want pauper to be the next season of RCQ
BRO FOR REAL! Pauper deserves big stage tournaments.
Also my name is also Joel. Lol
@@paperpauperplayer oh shit that’s sick
Never really understood why people play ash barrens over something like a fetch (evolving wilds, or another duel land)
2 reasons.
1. Evolving Wilds puts the land onto the battlefield tapped. Ash Barrens on the other hand allows you to put the land into your hand, so then you can play it for your turn untapped.

I have never noticed a tab that could be pulled to take the tape off. Im sorry for hurting you this way. Lmao
