18 years ago, I was a huge Batista fan, only got into Wrestling around his run as World champion. Mark Henry returned to wwe that December and it was terrifying to see the superman-like Batista crushed by this huge mammoth of a man Henry, at the time he had this theme...And it literally sounded like a titan was arriving. Looking back, I still hate how much they nuked his character in 2006, he lost to basically everyone except Rey lol.

Only difference is I used to watch the attitude era before and stopped watching wrestling for a few years then when flipping through the channels one night I saw the undertaker vs Bob Orton which was a few months before Henry attackign Batista. I agree they really screwed his character - he lost legit to everyone except Rey but they later on gave it back to him wiht his hall of pain gimmick.
I started around 2002 Brock Lesnar had lost the title by that point but yeah Mark Henry came back and crushed Batista in late December 2005 and shelved him for 6 long months. Mark Henry resurgence was scary and man I enjoyed every bit of that. Only thing I wish we had gotten was Batista vs. Mark Henry at The Great American Bash 2006.

This wasn't on there but they were talking about how they pre film and edit from the live show to that Friday night smackdown. I never knew it was pre recorded either until like 2008 when my friend went lol

I remember hearing that theme for the first time, watching this wide as tall angry gorilla stomp towards the ring and, for the first time, fearing for Batistas safety despite Batista being a mountain of a man himself, Henry came off like a natural disaster ready to destroy everything and everyone. Later he got generic and cringy hip hop trash as a theme song that made it really hard to take him seriously even when he was booked as a monster heel.
Nah , I like this one but "somebody gonna get their ass kicked" fits him way more , this is just a random rock riff just like brock Lesnars 2002 theme although that one was way more intimidating

@aldo_sosa Fair enough, I know it's easy to say that a theme is generic CAW crud when it's instrumental, but I think it's thunderous and exacting in a way Somebody's Gonna Get It simply isn't.
