The moral of the story is, don't try to break a steel door. Chances are the walls are much easier to dig through. Also, don't leave your key inside anything that you aren't in.
Yep, I would also dig wall insted of that balcony hazard. + makeing fire inside apartment LUL, it looked like he wanted to die. + not geting water cause of rat LUL
@@m1l917 he had a phobia of rats, which he later overcomes. And houses in india are made of bricks and mortar, not wood. The building can never catch fire and burn down to ground even if u use petrol. At most he wud have burned all his furniture
@@mundanemonday7091 yes :) i wrote everything with knowing these info. I would use metal pipe or something to dig tru the wall it would take long but its not like you have anything else to do LUL. Fire can spred into the apartment a he will die or not just fire but even smoke can kill him since he cant run away from it. And fear of rats, i think fear of death should be stronger.
@@mundanemonday7091 He could have easily suffocated in the smoke. Plus there would have been plaster and insulation, and the floor, all of which are flammable. Most buildings in the UK are built from bricks and concrete too, didn’t stop the grenfell fire. An entire apartment complex went up in flames because the builders had skimped on fire resistant materials. Plus when fires get bad things like metal can burn, and metal fires are really dangerous. Just because bricks and mortar can’t burn, that probably won’t be enough to stop a fire spreading.
@@leocervidae plaster isn't flammable and was even used for crude fireproofing around wood beams in the past :) It traps water when curing which is released when heated, which slows down the fire (the building would still burn in the end, though, once all the water has evaporated). In Paris it is still mandatory to use plaster for repairs in old buildings, instead of concrete or other fillers which wouldn't provide that bit of protection. Insulation are usually made from rock or glass and don't burn either. But paint and furniture will burn, so it's still a bad idea ^^ Aren't these modern high buildings made of reinforced concrete too ? But maybe not all the inside walls.
I like the story line because it's random, like reality is. Also that there's no moral for the same reason. The main character simply returns to his favorite restaurant and eats a meal he probably dreamt of while being captured. Only downside I could think of was that he had to find an apartment so quickly. You can let the story linger and just give a subtle explanation that time went by. Finding affordable housing takes time and it would make it more assumable he would agree with the shady housing setup. Also I think it is beautiful that it gave an honest look at India with all it's beauty and extremes. Like the lavish but abandoned building with the building attendant that couldn't read the sign the leading character made on a piece of cardboard.
That appartment that he took for rent isn't in use the builder and landowner might be having a dispute that's they put the selling of appartments on hold. The guy who showed him the appartment might have worked their during its construction so he took the money even when he is not the owner
He was so mesmerized when he got to see the apartment for first time noticing it's hallway, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and balcony. But didn't pay any attention to know if water and electricity will be accessible here.
Actually he checked when he is checking the house. But the electricity main is outside his and sometimes cuts off automatically. These are casual problems for a new house at least in India.
This reminds me of the time I was trapped inside of a service elevator. I thought it was a normal elevator, but it had a card swipe unlock pad on it. I thought that was for unlocking inaccesible service floors (i.e. basement), but oohh noo, far worse...the second the doors shut, the elevator is locked. Can't go up, down or reopen doors on the SAME floor without card access that I didn't have. Needless to say, I called the police to get my raggedy behind out of there. Luckilly a serviceman casually opened the elevator to do his work and I ran out.

You don't get to choose when you buy or rent this type of large scale apartment projects. You can change the locks later if you own it or risk losing the deposit.

This might be completely useless, but always inform one or two people before going somewhere. I know it seems like paranoia but it could be useful in many situations. Whether you're a college girl going for a party or a middle-aged man going to work. Just inform someone as simple as that
That would be handy but as mentioned no even knew he was missing. Lol
I once left for a journey without informing anyone. I was travelling from Chennai to Jaipur. My 1.5 days journey turned into 5 days long after my RAC train ticket got cancelled and the train left me in the middle of nowhere. I wasn't carrying enough money with me. I requested TC to shift me to the sleeper class but he didn't agree. I was barely 20 -21 years old. This was my first long journey. This happened before mobile phones were popular so I had no means to inform my family as I wasn't carrying a mobile phone with me. I did 2500 kilometres long journey by walking, asking for lifts, through buses and intercity trains. I was good at geography, this helped me a lot in finding the route. I was just travelling to the north hoping to find something that can get me to Rajasthan. I walked the dense forests of MP on my feet. Can you believe this? I even met goons dancing with their guns on the streets of Jabalpur and Bhopal.

But paint and furniture will burn, so it's still a bad idea ^^
Aren't these modern high buildings made of reinforced concrete too ?
