You have no idea how many videos I watched to understand the spread! I watched yours just once and totally understand now. Thank you sir!!!!
Wait so for some games the point spread is only -3.5 pts for a team soo you're telling me all the that team has to do is win by more than 3.5 points???
Same here
SAME !
I didn't understand shit
I just want to say, nobody has ever made me understand a spread. This video made me understand asap. Thank you!
If someone knows sports good, that are #wispred for sure, they are making almost every bet correct
I was struggling to understand the point spread until this video. This is my 1st time sports betting & your video made understanding the point spread really simple. Thank you so much! You just picked up a New Sub!💪🏾💯
An easy way to think about it is just pretend that the team that is minus 7 is starting the game with negative seven points. Then keep score to yourself with that in mind. Then who ever wins according to your score, wins the bet. Or you could score to yourself that the other team starts the game with 7. It doesn't matter which way you do it. I usually use the minus 7 negative points way cause t just tickles my fancy, but either works.
Online betting just became legal in my state and I’ve watched and read so much material. This by far is the best and most informative video!! Thanks.
Great beginner video. My first sportsbetting adventure!!!
Make more videos on breaking down the spread and betting do one with basketball on first half spread and the -13.5 +13.5 I love the video it helped me so much
Wow I have search on UA-cam someone to explain spread betting no One has explained it as well as you good job Sir
Still slightly confusing especially since you didn’t use the 7.5 as an example. Ugh! Why is it so hard to understand the spread?!?
Outstanding explanation! Thank you!
Truly helpful & perfectly explained … this helps plenty
It's easier just to imagine that one team has 7 points or negative 7 points at the beginning of the game and just keep your ow score. That's how I was taught. That way who ever wins In your little augmented scoring book tells you who wins the bet.
Hey. Based on this video. Let’s say the scoreboard has (Team#1) 0 and (Team#2) 13. Who wins the beat here ?
@@yassinmkwella1494 who ever bet on team 2 wins cus they won by more than 7
Always take the points
thank you so much i appreciate this video you’re good sir
Thanks my man I understand now fully
So spread is WAY better then money line
What if team 1 wins? Does that cover the spread and win the bet?
If team 1 is +7
Then you win the bet if - Team 1 wins or loses by not more than 7 points margin
For team 2 which is -7
You will win if team 2 wins by more than 7 points only.
If team 2 loses, or wins by less than 7 points, you'll lose your bet
So you have way better chances at winning if you betted on team 1 +7 spread… why wouldn’t anyone bet the other way?
@@mike7204it’s who u think will win or keep a game closer w the spread. The underdog has an advantage bc they’re already ahead w the pts. And the bet wins 1 of 2 ways. If they win outright u win,or keep it closer than that (+7) spread lose 6 or less
So covering the spread. If you're betting Team A to cover, they need to lose by not more than 7? And if you're betting Team B to cover, they need to win by more than 7?
Correct
Id love a 101 on what a money line is.
Money like is straight winner no point spread
Good explanation and nice animation.
Thank you so much now I understand
yo this video was so good. helped a lot! I been looking for some good explanations, this was it!
I'm not really good on picking the spreads usually but it will take some time to get used to I've seen some college games especially -28.5 , 28.5 + let's say it was Ohio versus Oregon I picked Ohio to cover the spread - 28.8 they basically have to score more than 28 points let's play the game ended 50-32
Great video man! I always wanted to know wtf Vegas is up to. Thanks for the basics.
Such a good video. Thanks
So if the lions are +3 and and I am betting on the lions to lose the game but they lose by 4,I still lose ,what the heck
This information was very helpful. Thank you
This was good. Thanks.
This really helped me a lot
Quick question ! So if I am to bet a spread of let’s +3 on the underdog and they so happens to win, does my bet count as a lost ?
You win ur bet. The underdog has 1 of 2 ways of winning win outright or lose but keep it closer than the pt spread. A rlly easy way to memorize it for beginners the team favored must win by the pt spread if they don’t the underdog bet wins. So the favorite only has 1 way of winning win the pt spread.
Can you make me understand when they say the favorite team ( example ) -154 … how much money do I have to put down to place a bet??
Simple adding and subtracting the end points ..thats all
Me now: dude you helped me out alot. Thank you
Me in the future after losing a huge bet: dude you suck, you ruined me
🤣
Here b4 sports betting becomes next big craze and everyone's doing it
Bravo....
that shirt
Nice one
Thanks bro 💯
point spread is a little confusing. i understand sports betting but always had an issue understanding point spread
I hope you all already heard about *WISPRED* and their predictions? If you didn't, you must...
I understand but I just didn't get the half a point .5 part
What would be a point spread on a long shot and how would it look like on the board ?
Kickers are paid to miss the extra point and spread the points for Vegas gambling.
Got a new subscriber out of me!
How come you didn’t add the spread to the final score?? I thought that is what you’re supposed to do to see if you covered the spread
I just bet it on Seattle... -2.5. And they won 6 - 3 and the MGM sportsbook said that Kansas City won by 2.5 and actually they lost the game because Seattle won the game 6-3 and they said I lost the bet I don't understand that
😡😡😡 I'm f****** pissed
lets say team 1 has a +2.5 spread and they win by 7 points then who covers the spread
Still don’t get it..smh
What if team 1 underdog wins by more than 7?
Awesome
I am still confused
What If the underdog wins the game despite given points from points spread ? Do you lose the bet?
You win
I’m still having a hard time understanding. I wish it could just be simply explained with no big words and no jokes in between
Team 3 wth
Can never understand this thing 🤣🤣
so if team A has a +5 spread and they end up winning the game do you still win? If the end results are Team A: 20 Team B: 18
This is what I want to know aswell. Let me know if you find out.
@@jayrboogie2069 yea that was the example he explained at the end
This is just superb, I have been researching "beat the bookies horse tips" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Arnatthew Uncomplicated Ascendancy - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? It is a good one off product for discovering how to get a betting method that is unique without the hard work. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my mate got great success with it.
Doesn’t make sense wouldn’t it be better odds to just bet on the moneyline … lol
Why this OLG change the slip in the first place before it was easy and straight forward to shade the teams you picked but this new format is totally garbage and don't make sense at all I stop play sports betting games because this new slip right now if you go to convience store and you asked for points spread games list the person or retailer will print proline games list for and when you asked him or her Where's the points spread games list she or he will tells you that is together but before proline game list comes together with all the sports games available on the list but this new one is not like that so the olg ppl should come again and Change it back to the old version that will help but not this confusing slip card
Lovely Video clip! Excuse me for butting in, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you researched - Riddleagan Winning Streak Remedy (do a google search)? It is a smashing exclusive guide for learning some amazing NBA and NHL betting tips without the normal expense. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my BF finally got excellent results with it.
huh?
24. I came here just to say all sports lovers to visit *WISPRED* and see another dimension of sports betting
I am living in US and I don't know anything about soccer, but I trust #wispred predictions on soccer matches and I am winning a lot of money thanks to them :))
dude just randomly stopped talking about the whole point of this video and started ranting about how sports books are profitable
Right
So basically you are just betting on a team to cover their spread? So if my team is -3 and I HAVE to take that bet because I'm betting on my team to win,if they only win by 2 I still lose ? Lol what's the point of me betting on my team I think is going to win?
Then you’d bet the “Moneyline” which only factors in win or lose.
Usually the moneyline has worse odds than the spread
- am noob too. that’s a good question
@@dirtydan6098 worse odds like payout? I noticed it has a lower payout
@@dwayneneal3342 yeah, worse pay out
I still don’t understand covering the spread.
so team #1 won, because the spread is less than 7 at the end?
thankss\
Thank you
