Is your water softener not making soft water? This could be an issue you are having with your water softener. The water softener clogged up but this time the clog was in the float tube. I'll show you how to unclog the tube and replace the tube properly.

My Rheem Model RHS32 softener, same internals as yours, had the same issues you noticed. Less soap suds, salt level not going down, calcium rings starting in the toilet. My unit is two years old. I noticed the salt tank wasn't filling with water during the first step in a regeneration, thus no regeneration of the resin beads in the tank.
I didn't find the brine well tube clogged. Instead the white plastic water inlet valve at the bottom of the float rod was stuck closed. I pried it with my fingers and it popped free. Started a manual regen and the brine well is filling with water now.
In case a Rheem representative is reading this, yes, I run Rheem water softener cleaner as directed every four months.

Following your video I discovered that my newly installed softener had a plugged line straight from the factory. !00PSI of air wouldn't pass through it. Cleared the blockage put the line back on and have started a regeneration cycle. It looks to be working now. I'll know for sure once the cycle finishes. Thanks for the help.

I have the same issue.. I did it..I put in the tube with several inches of mushy salt.. all my issues started when I cleaned it.. full of water after cleaning, plugged Venturi, replaced gasket, tried to regen but wouldn’t.. regen flashing after four hours so obviously it didn’t regen. Going to clean out bottom and try to regen!
Is there an O ring in feral nut that connects to Venturi? I don’t remember seeing one but found it below. I hate to have extra parts! 😂Thanks

Can you explain why my water softener works intermittently? Like I would have soft water for about 3-5 days then back to hard water them back to soft water. This has been goin on for several months now. I used iron out before and it worked but now it doesn't seem to have any effect.

When taking out the black tube I lost the washer, I put the screw, spacer and wing nut back on. Was that washer real important ?

I need help please. I have a whirlpool.... w softener . The low salt or recharge light is continually blinking ... Its a little low on salt but it has been lower many times b4 .
My elec was out last week ...that may have something to do with it . Anyways it want respond when I push any button . I can't even set my time . Can you please help?

I called Rheem. They said get my water tested for iron and what type iron it is. She said the water softner may not work.
