Good1 sir, I suggest to start new SIP in MF direct plan going forward instead of switching to direct plan. This is to get compounding benefit of existing units especially those who invested in regular plan for more than 4 years . As you know switching may result in a temporary reduction in the number of units. Your suggestion welcome.

Hi Rahul, if i have invested 8 lakhs in regular fund 5 yrs ago , and have no exit load and the current values is say 11 lakhs and I fall in 30% tax bracket, then is it still a better option to switch from regular to direct funds in one go ? Or shall i divide this 3 lakh profit over 3 years and switch partially each year.
