Great ideo to use cnannel 2 as trigger, i didnt even think of that!

Thankyou. I was wondering if there was a way to do this with that signal generator model

Can you indicate on your block diagram where you would inject the marker freq? I have two of the FY6800s and am very interested in using that setup in the IF alignment of the receivers I restore.

Thank you! I recently reached same approach using same generator but connecting CH2 of the oscilloscope connected to the ramp and triggering from there. It worked quite well but my big concern was how to make sure the programmed freq range in the VCO match with the VCO input voltage. I see you use 2Vpp and the manufacturer stated Max 5Vpp. I was struggling how to fit the input voltage range with the programmed freq range. In the end it was not too clear and I had to set it empirically. Not sure if you had same issues but your insights will be much appreciated

Yes, that was also my concern. The 2v ramp just seemed to trigger the sweep range that I had programmed. There are some unanswered questions here, but it worked so I have left them unanswered!

Maybe external sweep sync pulse pins exists on the FPGA, but not utilized? It is a glaring omission otherwise?

Hi there, I don’t if you have a fluke 123 oscilloscope but will be nice to se one in action in your hands,

So, I achieved almos the same result with psg9080 and atten 1102cal. All I had to do was set all coupling to DC (channels and trigger). The remaining issue is that it seems psg9080 does not sweep the vco frequency smothly. It sweeps the vco frequency at large steps so the plot at the oscilloscope looks like an 8bit sprite game. Any ideas and sugestions to solve this will be welcome.

did you achieved the same results with coupling output 2 to the mod input through a T-piece as in this video? if i do this on my PSG9080, the calibration values in the VCO menu shows min. 16 and max. 20. i do not get a stable VCO output with these values. which values do you get ? it is indeed a shame that here is so little detailed info available for this device.

@@marcocochet2242 in my psg9080 the min value is 984 and the max value is 45,789. I tried with T-piece and another signal generator (MHS-5225A). I think the problem is that my ATTEN 1102CAL (original firmware) does not trigger at frequencies lower than 10Hz. So I'm not able to generate a ramp signal long enough (in period terms = low frequency) in order to the VCO generate smooth value as the ramp increases its value.

I ordered the 100 MHz version of the FY6900 it was out of stock so I had to wait a few weeks for it to be made. I got it today and when I hooked it up and turned it on it was DOA does not turn on at all.

Speaking of psg9080 does anybody know if there is a video ou text tutorial that explores deeply such device? All I have found are tutorials that not go deep on its functionalities even practical use of it.

Is it possible to achieve the same results with a psg9080 and am atten 1102cal? The psg9080 requires measurement of min and max voltage for vco sweep to work and atten 1102cal seems not to recognize frequencies under 10Hz even for external trigger. If anybody has achieved this results with this setup, please let me know.

Hello friend, can this oscilloscope be used to measure the phase and gain margin of the control loop of a switched source? Can the diagram be transferred to a computer? Best regards.

The scope will display phase differences, screens can be copied to a USB drive. Hantek provide PC software for full PC control of the scope.
