Batter is pretty easy to whip up but honestly the pre-made mix isn't too bad depending on brand and freshness

But to be fair, I'm not from the US so it's not much of a thing here, box cake mix sure but pancakes? dude it's like 3 ingredients.
I've never used or seen/heard of anyone using mixes for pancakes, cakes etc (Sweden). They do exist in stores though, just not very popular.
