I personally don’t mind the fake Yuqi to help fill in the space. Dreamcatcher did the same thing during their “Scream” era where the choreographer danced in place of Handong while she was doing a survival show in China.

companies creating fandom names is so insincere tbh. fandom names are supposed to come from the fans when they feel a sense of community by supporting the group. they're supposed to be organic, not something that gets voted on or decided on by the company or even the artists. its for the fans by the fans. and its not even supposed to be used for every group out there, just those that have a community based fan group.

i like how stans and haters will still say "this is live" when you can literally compare week 1 (which is pure LIVE) to week 2 (which is live+backtrack), and stans and haters will still say "see? that is live..." or "see? that is lipsyncing". likel, you literally have week 1 to compare what live sounds like
I went to look at the ATEEZ x Dodgers post and luckily the fans have drowned out all the bad comments, I was scrolling for ages and found like one comment saying "nooo", that's it.

I love freak so much, it is definitely one of my favorite solo releases this year and I also think the album is so well produced.

As a person who watched Both Le Sserafim performances and enjoyed their performance as performers. Because wow they are amazing performers/entertainers they know how to light up a stage. But the first performance seemed better to me they had more fun tbh and they were messy but they put on a damn show. The second week they held back whixh is kinda sad its like they folded under the pressure and changed things.
I literally never had the expectation for lsf to have good vocals live. They were made to entertain so idk how tf they were gonna do that w difficult ass choreos and songs out of their range. I’m surprised Hybe don’t just lip synced/back track the first week and prevent this drama from getting more out of hand. But then again, I have been a kpop fan for 14 years and whenever there’s a popular beloved girl group the public will turn on them within a year of peak popularity. This happens every. single. time.
I've been a kpop fan since 2011 and yes you're absolutely right! For some reason when a group gets popular they start to get hate. Seen this cycle happen too many times 🥲

And if I'm being honest LSF is popular in the western market compared to other kpop groups it's no surprise they were invited to perform at Coachella. People seem to be questioning why out of others they were chosen.
LSF have received so much love by the public where we all enjoy their music but it's only the kpop stans that seem to be miserable haters.
Mostly it's one group's fans that are bitter because their group might not be together again.

I boycotted RIIZE recent comeback,
I haven’t heard the title track nor saw any of their social media and I’m not listening to any of their music anymore. The reason being is if seunghan is not released from his hiatus, I will never get back to RIIZE it’s all cuz of SM wacky Management and to top it all off I don’t bias seunghan, If any member of RIIZE had the same fate as seunghan I will still boycott them regardless. (I’m tired of idols getting kicked out 😢)
Same here. I've unfollowed them on everything and refuse to touch any new comebacks. I seriously hope other fans consider doing the same.

i don't think u understand why people hate on lesserafim. The main reason why they hate on lesserafim is because tge same thing happen every comeback with the bad off key singing and hybe not doing anything to help the girls improve instead they use vey loud backtrack or let them lip sync like seen with easy
yeah their vocal weakness have being pointed out since debut basically and Hybe/Source did nothing about, plus after the train of controversy they had last comeback (church mv, choreo nd clothes not suitable to minors, easy encore) they still sent the girls to a live concert, and I strongly disagree calling their vocals for weak 1 flaws any real live performance has, let's be real it was bad, the energy was probably amazing because they are good in this aspect, but the sing was really bad.

the hate came from cropped 5 seconds to 10 seconds clips, i doubt that the haters even watched the whole performance or even watch LSF other performances before. they just jumped into the conclusion that they're bad. YES they need to improve more in their stamina and live vocals but they are a great performers and singers.
Even BLACKPINK used strong and loud backtracks during their Coachella performance so I don't know why people are even comparing them to LSF.
hybe needs to give lesserafim vocal lessons because at this point they’re just setting them up for failure. Imagine having talented girls that get featured on national korean tv for their horrible vocals and get laughed at by the entire world BECAUSE YOU AS A MULTIMILLIONARE COMPANY couldn’t provide them with one single vocal lesson.

For the Midas touch mv I was confused at first too because turning to stone is Medusa but I think they are using both Midas and Medusa references to basically say they are dangerous (also in nattys motorbike scene she touches the road and gold coins come out)

I hate when people hear Lesserafim's vocals, and act like every single group under hybe has bad vocals just because of Lesserafim.
Lesserafim ≠ all of hybe's groups, especially when txt, enhypen, and Seventeen are right there. hybe does have good vocalists, people just only talk about Lesserafim, newjeans and illit as if they are the only vocalists at hybe
Basically, all of Hybe's ggs are terrible vocally. Lsfm and Illit are literally some of the worst i've ever heard, and i've heard bad singers before.
Literally let the katseye debut🔥😍❤️they have top tier vocalist under hybe definitely they have the solid vocalist out there they can easily be on billboards. They are also under Fandom controversy now👀 but hope everything will be OK soon.

Ok so after doing some research, the only vonclusion I came across is that Lily is the representative flower for illit as you can see their pictures having the flower lily AND how their storyline concept is ,connected to their senior BG Enhypen. The lime motto during r u next was "be the next orange" & how enhypen's trilogy for dark blood has now orange blood with an upcoming cb release on may due to the fact that both groupd included the flower Lily in their music video (especially enhypen) & illit (photos). Thid could also form as Lilith, also a flower AND a POSSIBLE hidden character in Enhypen's webtoon Dark Moon.

I miss when Kpop was all about Idols actually being able to sing and dance live without having to wonder if it was live or not, but that's just my opinion. I'm kind of done caring about this issue now and will just focus on supporting the groups that deserve it.
For Lessarafim, people didn't forget their past controversy since their last comeback, which caused agitation, hate, and criticism. As for their performance, so far, it's been their best performance, but they really need training because their performance was nothing compared to Ateez.
And why the heck does Illit have so much controversy at this point? It feels like HYBE is intentionally using negative promotional tactics.
Yeah we could hear lesserafim singing live at some parts but I think the backtrack is too loud to even hear their vocals. After all the criticism I hope they'll take note to improve their vocals and to even train it by themselves.

Not defending the haters in the comments of ATEEZ, but it’s instagram… what is there to expect? The comments has always been THAT harsh def on insta reels. That’s why I tend to stay away from instagram & going through comments due to this, I hope instagram does something about it soon
As bad as Instagram becomes sometimes, it's still got nothing on X or Twitter.
You have to consider that fandom names are a brand in kpop, if the name is not registered (not official) other groups or idols can use it and trademark it.
That's just how it is, even if the idol in question is popular. Kpop fandom names and western fandom names are VERY different. In kpop they make merch with said name.
Regarding the idol named Lily it makes sense, but when it comes to an unofficial fandom name, it's a different case.

I literally laughed out loud during Le Sserafim's coachella performance, especially during Eunchae and Yunjin's lines. Anyone, even a fan, who says they didn't at least chuckle are straight up liars, so I would prefer more live vocals if nothing else but to just have a huge laugh. P.S. I really like all the members.

Illit’s fandom name should be Twillit, like the word “twilit” but with 2 Ls. "Twilit" means to be illuminated by twilight, just as fans will illuminate the group, come on marketing team, it’s that easy. Plus think of the Twilight memes that will come out of it, that on it's own will be worth choosing the name
About live singing.
With idols, I don't care. I can appreciate the effort if the result is good, but really don't try if you can't and it's OK.
On the other hand, it's a lot more important for artists to live sing, and I'll think less of them if they don't or are unable to.

I always prefer them, though, and I come from a more punk rock background so perfect vocals aren't something I always expect from a live performance.
I'm literally just running my mouth here (okay, my fingers but still), but I wonder if it's possible for ILLIT to have a fandom name similar to Got7? The official name is iGot7, but it sounds very similar to ahgase, which is baby bird in Korean. No one calls themselves an iGot7, we say ahgase. So it would just be cool if ILLIT's fandom name could be kind of like that.
Alternatively, CHILLIN wouldn't be bad, as far as fandom names go.

the le sserafim topic: I don't think they had zuha do that on purpose. if it was to be a purposeful move they would have had either sakura do it because she's the one in particular getting roasted the most, or they would have chaewon or yunjin do it as the most identifiable faces of the group. I love le sserafim so much but we need to be honest, kazuha and eunchae were originally filler members and still are when it comes to the majority of western listeners so it wouldn't make any sense for them to make the statement.

It’s great that they felt confident about singing raw, yet sounded so shit they got people who were never interested in K-pop to criticise them… and even better, they compared them to previous K-pop groups at coachella including BP to show just how bad they were. BP trends almost every day without even trying. No longer relevant? How salty. How sad. The saddest part about this is Ateez performed amazingly and got completely overshadowed by Lsf stage… BP along with BTS and the other greats made K-pop popular, allowing other groups to follow in their footsteps and preform at coachella. LSF almost destroyed it all.
