We have the M6 (along with the S9+) for 3 months. I only use the dry pad for training runs. (I use the S9 every other day for sweeping.) I use the M6 for wet mopping about twice a month. I use the M6 on tile floor (only) which has grout. The reusable pads have worked fine. I hand wash them in laundry detergent and then hang them up to dry which takes a couple of days. I am very satisfied with this system.
I use the disposable mops twice. I don't want gunk running through my washer. My place is 840 square feet. no pets no kids no shoes inside. I will never go without my robot vacuum and robot washer for the rest of my life. Just got done with second knee surgery. This is like having a butler 24/7. Loved your video.
I'm reasonably sure that those front cushion zones on the dry sweeping pads are there to drag across the floor and help statically charge the pad/debris so that it picks stuff (especially fine dust) up better, much like rubbing a balloon against or combing your hair.
Hmm… that’s weird. If it’s iRobot brand pad, then you could maybe try contacting customer service. I wonder if the squares are cut wrong on the bottom of the pad for the sensor to read if the pad is on or not
I have a new Braava Jet and been trying to use the washable pads. When I use non-reusable pads it works fine. When I insert the washable pad it says "Unable to Start" "Attach a Pad". Have you seen this problem? I tried several different washable pads and the Brava Jet doesn't seem to see the washable pads.
@@vancelacey8039 I imagine small velcro pads would be good. Tho I'd think just the weight of the robot would hold it in place? I'm only interested in this because I already have the swiffer pads - else I'm going to washable to avoid contributing to a landfill.
The m6 reusable pads just too nasty and full of hair if you have dogs..even if vacuum frequently. It feels like abuse to put in washer and they dont come out fully clean. You need to get a lot of uses...i don't see it. So, disposable pads it is. However, at $1 each...you need to clean at least twice with disposable to make worthwhile.

Awesome! I'm glad that you're liking it, and thank you for sharing your experience.

Robotic 24/7 Butlers are the BEST! 🤖
So in the end, are you recommending re-usable or non-reusable pads ? I expected to get that response from the video.
We have the reusable ones. They work great
@@DadReviews After all that - you prefer the thin swiffer type pads?
haha me too, the title of the video makes it seem like the two will be compared.

Thank you for clearing that up. I think that you are correct about that.
Combing your hair? I have never had static while combing my hair
Do you put it in the washing machine with a full load or separately?
Do you have to hand wash or can I actually place these in the washer?
How do you clean it? Washing machine?
Yup
Can you a video of how the reusable pads look like after a year if you still have them?
I do still have them. I'll add that to my list of videos to do. Thanks for the idea.
@@DadReviews appreciate it
Does that soft part of the pad go towards the front or back of the robot? Thanks for your review.
Also is the hard plastic part of the pad removable/ can you have it on while it's in the washing machine?
It's in the front
No it is not removable. I put mine in the wash and it has been fine
Mine does not seem to work with the re-usable pads, only the disposable ones. "please attach pad, then press clean"
Hmm… that’s weird. If it’s iRobot brand pad, then you could maybe try contacting customer service. I wonder if the squares are cut wrong on the bottom of the pad for the sensor to read if the pad is on or not
The plastic part on the pads should be detachable, held on by velcro. At least that's the case for model 245.
I feel like that would be inefficient tbh

I have not had that problem. That is really weird. I have used both and they both worked fine for me.
@@DadReviews - thank you for the response. iRobot thought so also. They are shipping me out a new unit.
@@rich2785 awesome! Let me know how it turns out for you.
@@DadReviews I sure will.
Well that definitely fixed my problem. Now that the manufacturer replaced my Braava Jet the new one senses the washable pads!
What about swiffer pad ? Like wet one. Does it fit on M6 ?
I haven't tried that, but I don't think that it would activate the robot because of the sensors.

Elendigt!
Do you literally just toss them in the washer? I couldn’t find any instructions haha. Good video!
I do.
Thank you
welcome
If you wash them in a laundry bag like a bra bag and air dry them they'll probably last you the life of the robot
Good idea. Thanks for sharing!

I’ve used Google to translate some of my videos.
You can not put it in your washing machine 🤣🤣🤣🤣
We do. But not in the dryer
Nice review!! 👍💯
thanks!
