    Scope & Content: Reel 1, Harding is inaugurated in 1921: the President-Elect enters a car at the Willard Hotel, Washington, D.C.; crowds at the Capitol Plaza cheer his arrival; Chief Justice White swears in the new President; Harding delivers the inaugural address. Harding dedicates the Lincoln Memorial in D.C. on May 30, 1922; Ex-Pres. Taft and Joseph Cannon also officiate. Harding dedicates the Zero Milestone (in D.C.) of the National Hgwy. System on June 4, 1923. Harding, Mrs. Harding, Sec. of War Weeks, and Gen. Pershing attend the 1923 graduation exercises at the Army War College (D.C.). The Pres. and Mrs. Harding view the unveiling of the Alexander Hamilton statue in D.C. Reel 2, Harding's body lies in state at the White House on Aug. 8, 1923. Secretaries Hughes and Weeks view the body. Ex-Pres. and Mrs. Wilson arrive. The casket is placed on a caisson, borne in a procession to the Capitol, and placed in the Rotunda. Secretaries Hoover, Work, and Wallace, Gen. Pershing, and Attorney Gen. Daugherty are honorary pallbearers.
