- We jumped in a mini van and drove three hours north to Khao Sok national park.
This place is like an unspoiled wonder with jungles older than the Amazon rain forest. We spent 7 nights at Khao Sok river&jungle resort. From here we managed to spent a day exploring Cheow Lan lake, dodging spiders and bats in Diamond cave and walked through jungle before eating lunch on a floating resort. The next day we took a Kayak down the river before stopping in the jungle for a quick brew. Finally we took our motorbikes to a market forty kilometers outside of Khao Sok where Andrew once again tried eating insects, this time with different results

Originally from the Wirral, North West England we got married in 2012. After a few trips abroad we caught the #travel bug. In 2019 after 6 weeks in Japan we decided we were going to quit our jobs and take some time out to travel full time. After many delays due to the pandemic, in 2021 our dream finally came true and in November we set off on our journey.

As a Thai people, Grasshopper is good stuff. The taste is like chimp mix with chicken.

Every year will have this festival, but not have for covid 19 lock down last 2-3 years ago, but this year will fully again, I am waiting the festival every year, since I am be a child

The full day tour was 1500 baht each and the kayak tour was discounted to 500 baht each.
We found out you can try to hire a private longtail for around the same price as the full day tour but we got lunch and free use of the kayaks on the lake too 😁

We judge each situation in the moment. It is law in thailand to wear a mask outside. If everyone around us is wearing a mask then we will too out of respect 🙏

Did you have to calibrate the compass on the drone at the lake?
Yes we tend to have to calibrate the compass at every new location.
We did actually get told after we flew the drone that they wernt allowed there. But the guy who told us was loverly 😊

Ok let's start to get realistic with the superlatives. Literally EVERY vlog has the word 'MOST', or 'BEST' or 'SECRET' or 'HIDDEN' in the title. Sok *is* pretty cool, but is it the BEST National Park in Thailand? I personally don't think so, but it's subjective. Until you've visited every National Park in Thailand, saying Sok is the best is a tad premature 🙄

@@jomontanee These vlogs are so bad it was kind of entertaining watching them for a bit, but it's just the same repetitive overhyped captions - "OMG you won't believe what we did!!!" - when they are doing exactly the same touristy things that millions have done before and have already been vlogged to death and acting like they are the first people to ever find this 'SECRET, HIDDEN PARADISE that is the BEST place in Thailand. The question you should be asking yourself is - OMG how did my life sink so low to a point where I'm watching this drivel? 😁
