Thank you for buying the f600 and providing this info. Was looking at one also but now i know i need another 1500lbs payload to be on the safe side. Saved me from buying the wrong unit just by sharing this. Cheers
Nice! I'm about to buy a similar hooklift setup (F600 w/Palfinger T12) and start renting dumpsters here in Southern California. Funny to see you're in Champlain, my family is from Lake Chateaugay. Will be there for a few week around the 4th of July. Thank you for the knowledge.
Mine is a Ford f 600 diesel with a tarp system on it with a 15 yard we’re around 15,000 little over pounds. That’s with a Palfinger had 185 18.500 capacity. 36/54 hook height.
Nice video as usual. Instead of boards you could use just small pieces as wedges. Put a wedge in front of roller wheel one behind. Put truck in neutral and use the hook hydraulic to pull you out or under can. Ill use boards mainly for the “look” at nice houses.
Hey that’s a nice setup! I’ve actually seen your trucks around Plattsburgh. I live in Malone, so I’m in Plattsburgh monthly usually. I have a lawn/landscape side hustle I started in 2017 but looking to maybe expand into other areas. Thanks for the videos
As a contractor I use to rent a dumpster at every job I have since bought a hook truck myself mostly use a flat deck on it for skid steer however for a 10yd bin I charge $4800
What is the longest dumpster you can haul on your truck.. The 20yd dumpsters i am looking at is 20 to 22 feet long 22x8x55 will your set up handle this the dumpsters are 4700lb. Thanks for feed back. Eddie from Georgia.
You can also have an additional trailer for hooklift truck We call this a Juliet trailer Hooklift can roll on and off another can on the trailer and they travel together hauling 2 dumpsters
Currently about 20-30 degrees here getting 7.5 - 8 MPG loaded and a bit better unloaded. Expecting around 9 once it warms up. 4 ton is the max I’ve had and it handles it fine
It would require a CDL to tow and would really depend on the load and distance traveling steady. I would recommend diesel if towing loaded a lot that heavy

Hardox helps a lot to optimize weight We use HSS high strength steel in our hooklifts and grapple cranes and dumpsters and dump truck bodies when an extreme curb weight balance is needed in a specific application. The point is that the Hardox or Strenx or any other brand HSS material are always a bigger investment that payout during continuous operation
Not much of a weight difference at all. Not even enough to really worry about on getting rectangular or tub style. Are you going to repaint the tub dumpsters to the lime green or did you give up on that color?
What makes the difference is actually the box material thickness This will help to reduce overall box weight But you should try to find a good cost benefit correlation between wall thickness and durability in your application
Way easier just using a trailer pull 16ft dump trailer this job which is 2 full 16ft trailer loads and some small clean up debris id say 800 to 1k. I charge 500 per trailer load but if you have 2 loads id do a discount so 800.

It’s better to be on the safe side
What purchase is now in your future?
Only a 13% GVWR difference between an F-550 and F-600 but OVER 30% actual payload capacity with a setup like yours. Very cool.
🙌
Good idea

That’s awesome! We just did work in Chateaugay last week!
Jon any dumpsters needed just let me know we make dumpster boxes here in Houston TX

Flatbed on Hooklift is also a great setup
Thats a good looking truck.
Thanks man!
Absolutely 💚

We can haul up to 14’ containers with this set up. To do 20YD we would need tall walls
Love the hooklifts easy maschine transport no trailer needed
You can also have an additional trailer for hooklift truck
We call this a Juliet trailer
Hooklift can roll on and off another can on the trailer and they travel together hauling 2 dumpsters
What is your gas mileage on average? Also, what’s the heaviest you’ve had it and how’d it handle it?
Currently about 20-30 degrees here getting 7.5 - 8 MPG loaded and a bit better unloaded. Expecting around 9 once it warms up. 4 ton is the max I’ve had and it handles it fine
💚
can you put 16ft bins on this truck?
No
For 16ft long boxes you will need our special GR20 model on a larger cab to axle distance probably as ISUZU truck or Mack MD underCDL
do you think the gas engine would have enough power to tow with a gcwr of 32,000 lbs?
It would require a CDL to tow and would really depend on the load and distance traveling steady. I would recommend diesel if towing loaded a lot that heavy
wishing you went with the powestroke yet or still ok with the 7.3 gas?
So far so good we don’t tow with it and it has plenty of power for running dumpsters around.
💚
Do you like tub or rectangle better for junk removal?
The rectangular ones are a few inches shorter on the side walls so if loading on the ground it makes it easier
For loading rectangle
For unloading / dumping tub
Round edge bottom for both
do you charge extra to pick up the junk? if yes, how much?
Yes and every job is different

I'm having a truck like this built and they asked if I want levers or push buttons for the hooklift. What's your opinion?
Ours is like a small toggle switch ones red and ones blue
@@lakechamplainsanitation awsome thank you for the info. I'm excited to get started!
Small joystick 🕹️ are the best in my opinion we had a great experience with these in operations by various customers
@@jamesnance8783 how has it been any updates?
Wastequip makes a Hardox bin that is way stronger and weighs 20% less.

What kind of mpg’s are you getting?
About 7.5-8 right now
@@lakechamplainsanitation 93 miles octane or can you use 87?
@@mvmlogistics2372 we use 87
30 yd.³, 775 for the dumpsters only. Labor would be an extra $200 including sweeping 975 grand total.

This will help to reduce overall box weight

@@hooklift yes very true.
Are you required to have a CDL for that setup?
No we do not for this truck
I don’t think so 💚 this seems to be underCDL
Can the f600 haul 30 yard bin at 22"?
No it can’t
why not a 6.7 powerstroke?
I didn’t see the need for the expense since we won’t be towing anything. For small dumpsters this truck with a 7.3 gas has plenty of power
Not to mention modern Diesel maintenance!
@@shaunnightfire8269 keep the maintenance cost as low as possible
Is this under CDL or do you need a CDL to operate this?
Yes under CDL
UnderCDL 💚 huge advantage for small and medium size business owners
Is your truck 120CA?
Yes
Do u know if your truck comes in a crew cab as well. Thinking about using it for Personal use as well.
@@FrankKriticos I have seen this crew cab or double cab style trucks at local international dealer and RAM

That is a 2 load job costing $920 thats what i would charge
500 usd my guess
Thousand dollars
Easy access, id charge around $50 a yard $1100 for that job.
Very close!!!
I’m no pro… but when I was doing trashouts for a bank during the recession I was getting $650 for a 14’ dump trailer with 4’ sides.
