  • How to make a reversible/foldable v-flat at home for cheap to take your photography to the next level!
    Tip: Since these v-flats were glued together, I would recommend taping the edges to keep them from splitting after heavy use.

    I watched 2 videos before this that were so much longer and "detailed," but this made so much more sense. Thank you, I feel I can make these now!

    Very good tutorial ... How many boards did your purchase per v flat?

      Thanks! I used 8 per v flat. 4 black and 4 white.

    Thanks for the tutorial! Did you use gorilla glue to add the Velcro as well? And is there a specific way you installed the Velcro?

      The velcro already has an adhesive so I just put it directly onto the board. This is a mistake because it can peel off with the board. I would suggest adding tape around all the edges of the board incase the glue fails AND so the velcro doesn't peel off the surface of the board.

    How do you get the top pieces to stand up. I have the bottom piece but when I flip the top pieces it won’t stand up straight

    • @rudysalgado
      @rudysalgado  2 роки тому

      With velcro. Once the velcro is in place and you stand up the vflat like in the thumbnail, it should stay up. If you don't like the flaps, you can also tape them.

    about how much did it cost you per vflat?

    • @rudysalgado
      @rudysalgado  4 роки тому +2

      About $20 to make it one-sided or $40 to make it double-sided just for the boards alone plus the adhesive, gaffer tape, and velcro.

    How many Velcro straps you use

    • @rudysalgado
      @rudysalgado  2 роки тому +2

      I personally put 3 but it's totally up to you. Just make sure to put the velcro over a surface that has gaffer tape first otherwise the velcro can easily rip out the cardboard.

    I see loads of these videos. You safe about $100 or so for a product that won't last...especially if your transport. V-Flat!!!
