Just to add to this.. Here we are An entire week past launch and im still doing this every day whenever I hop on for the first time.(Steam). Ridiculous for someone whos already hit prestige 3 and more than halfway done with camos and yet we are STILL dealing with this.

I wouldn't even mind if I just had to reset it every time I play the game, the problem is some settings require rebooting the game in order to take effect. When I reboot, it is the older setting so I can never change some shit like "persistent effects" or "shader quality"

@@TakeNoteZ lmaoo i never had it before but i was just playing zombies with my lil brother and i kept randomly freezing for like 2 seconds (where it kicked me out and instantly reconnected me) and then it full froze on 3rd one which made me taskmanager close it. which it then went into safe mode (even tho i pressed no) and now its launching in call of duty setup every time i launch ;-;
I did not have Clouded Settings in game, so I changed it in the config file like you said and it worked like a charm. Thank you dude. (Playing using game pass)
@@symmetryofzero yeaa i know man shits nuts.. if your game consistently crashing try updating all your windows updates.. also once u in the windows update section,scroll down & look up for ADDITIONAL UPDATES if you have any and make sure to update it aswell .. my friend was having the same problem , then did those updates and game been fine since then. So this is what worked for me- im PC game pass this happened every day 1-3 times a day for me. Turned off one drive from computer Deleted call of duty - downloaded cod hq first(instal with desktop shortcut). Then bo6 and add ons after. Signed out of gamepass & Microsoft store. Restart pc. Signed back into both game pass and Microsoft store. Verify / rapair files. Right click on desktop app (aka cod game) run as administrator. All my settings where reverted back and its been this way for over 24 hrs and iv never made it that far yet.

there is no config file there for me. Only old ones from mw2. I even tried deleting the players folder, validating, still nothing. I even reinstalled and there is still no config file. To pay $110 for a game and have to spend hours troubleshooting the most trivial things that every other game has been able to do for decades is absolutely insane. I have no idea where to go from here

It didn't work for me, but I solved it by logging out of the xbox account and the microsoft store, restarting the pc, and re-logging back in, the only method that worked for me after 2 hours of trying
GUYS IF U ARE YOU R USING THE GAME PASS XBOX PC do what he said to do in the files for the cloud. The cloud didn't pop up in game for me but I did what he said to do in the files and changed my cloud from true to false and it worked follow the steps. thank u so much

I bought the game for my PlayStation because this problem is on my PC. Thanks. I wish I would have found this before I bought the game for my PlayStation.
Idk if it has to do with one drive or whatever or something within the game itself. Also when the game boots up after the two 2 loading screens it shows “not signed into profile” then goes to the menu to confirm my settings and at the top it shows I’m signed in to a profile. Idk if that makes sense.

hey thanks for the vid. saw ur cpu temp and was concerned for you. you may need to change ur cooler to keep it under 85C. 90C is the maximum temp a cpu should go to

A fix I found for myself after countless attempts at other fixes due to my game constantly resetting all my settings every time I launch the game. It's this: Sign in and out of the xbox app and microsoft store. Sign back in to both these apps and look for updates on the microsoft store (one should be for xbox game services) You can restart your pc after this if you want but I didn't have to. All the settings I previously had have been restored.

Where the folder is Documents/User/Call Of Duty/player I have only 4 folders there, one is M format, the other 2 are TXT format. And with you everything is different. How to make it so that everything is fixed like with you?
@@Deroiz usually if you uninstall the game completely , then just install it back .. the files usually re-writes/re-creates themselves back , so if you want you can give it a try
@TakeNoteZ The problem is that I have deleted and downloaded the game countless times, and each time, In the folder "players" Still 4 files appear... and no matter what I do in the game, only the time changes in these files, but nothing more.

@@Deroiz now , one ultimate fix that u can do if u ever still have the problem with settings reseting back over n over and u cant find a solution.. is by Re-installing your windows at your own risk if u know how to do it or if you know anyone that can do it for you, its pretty easy but yea , a new install of windows 11 if so.. i say this because i had this problem on my other pc on mw3 with the settings problems.. and after i reinstall the whole windows, i never encounter the problem again , and one of my friends also did that and fixed it for good 👍🏽… ( This would be for the worst case scenario if you neva find a fix in your situation )
@@_rigel_ if u want you can delete the players folder.. then start the game and it will make yu do shaders .. after that then go ahead and check the files again and they should be there , they usually always recreate/rewrites themselves after Deleted.
I did everything and my settings reset everytime i reset my computer or turn it off . If i close the game without turning off the computer they will stay. Its sooo annoying. I notice everytime i do my settings i check the files on cod and theres about 9 total filles that wont sync on Onedrive and idk how to fix or do. Can u please help me brother!
Hello it didn't solve the problem unfortunately. I read the problem I have may be related to one drive. Unfortunately as the cod option folder is in My Documents, I cannot stop one drive synch them... Maybe a future fix from Activision or Microsoft will solve this soon... I have to admit this is pretty annoying...

@@darkbiz try to (scan repair the game ) also try reinstalling the game , and make sure all your drivers are upto date and if you have any windows update , make sure to do so aswell, surprisingly that has helped others.

in files mine doesn’t even show “call of duty” only “call of duty modern warfare 3” and my “players” file doesn’t even have nun of that. I don’t know if my stuff is corrupted or what but it doesn’t even show a file separate of the name “call of duty black ops 6” where i can get to “players” file.
also, when I turned the “cloud” stuff off in BO6 it works then when i reset my game it’s back on. I have to watch the intro of the BO6 and MW3 every time n redo settings.

Game pass literally doesn't have the option to turn off cloud save. Why?.. they could update and let it be a fix for now for people Incase it's really screwed up somehow. Also odd that Nvidia recently adds a driver rollback function and we already are having issues .. I hope it's not a pattern going to emerge.

Mine broke after i set the settings to amd. I have nvidia 3060ti was just messing with the settings and it hard crash when i switch to amd fidelity. After restart it asked me what saved "hardware saved or "cloud save" I think cloud save broke something

It didn't work for me, but I solved it by logging out of the xbox account and the microsoft store, restarting the pc, and re-logging back in, the only method that worked for me after 2 hours of trying

GUYS IF U ARE YOU R USING THE GAME PASS XBOX PC do what he said to do in the files for the cloud. The cloud didn't pop up in game for me but I did what he said to do in the files and changed my cloud from true to false and it worked follow the steps. thank u so much

Idk if it has to do with one drive or whatever or something within the game itself. Also when the game boots up after the two 2 loading screens it shows “not signed into profile” then goes to the menu to confirm my settings and at the top it shows I’m signed in to a profile. Idk if that makes sense.

A fix I found for myself after countless attempts at other fixes due to my game constantly resetting all my settings every time I launch the game. It's this:
Sign in and out of the xbox app and microsoft store.
Sign back in to both these apps and look for updates on the microsoft store (one should be for xbox game services)
You can restart your pc after this if you want but I didn't have to.
All the settings I previously had have been restored.

@@Deroiz usually if you uninstall the game completely , then just install it back .. the files usually re-writes/re-creates themselves back , so if you want you can give it a try

@@_rigel_ if u want you can delete the players folder.. then start the game and it will make yu do shaders .. after that then go ahead and check the files again and they should be there , they usually always recreate/rewrites themselves after Deleted.

Hello it didn't solve the problem unfortunately. I read the problem I have may be related to one drive. Unfortunately as the cod option folder is in My Documents, I cannot stop one drive synch them... Maybe a future fix from Activision or Microsoft will solve this soon... I have to admit this is pretty annoying...

in files mine doesn’t even show “call of duty” only “call of duty modern warfare 3” and my “players” file doesn’t even have nun of that. I don’t know if my stuff is corrupted or what but it doesn’t even show a file separate of the name “call of duty black ops 6” where i can get to “players” file.
also, when I turned the “cloud” stuff off in BO6 it works then when i reset my game it’s back on. I have to watch the intro of the BO6 and MW3 every time n redo settings.
I even did “scan and repair” nothing worked or maybe corrupted files came.

Game pass literally doesn't have the option to turn off cloud save. Why?.. they could update and let it be a fix for now for people Incase it's really screwed up somehow. I have nvidia 3060ti was just messing with the settings and it hard crash when i switch to amd fidelity. After restart it asked me what saved "hardware saved or "cloud save"

@@TakeNoteZI remember mw2 or 3 I had to make the config file set to read only or vice versa. Been a while but that’s how I remember doing it.
