I agree with the sentiment, but you have to have the humility to garner shared wisdom. If a vast number of people have found contentment and happiness by having a family, you would be ill advised to ignore that, even if it doesn’t immediately appeal to you at a given point. Also, while everyone should endeavour to ‘live their own life’ there is a vast amount to gained by partially emulating someone that has achieved what you wish to achieve.
