      On Mars the last drizzle fell on October 45, 2 billion and 2 B.C. Note that on Mars the months contain twice the number of days as on Earth whereas the years are twice as long. It makes coordinating Mars time to Earth time a challenge.

    • @johncanalese588
      @johncanalese588 13 днів тому +1

      The radio transmission delay between Earth and Mars is not constant and varies due to changing distance due to their orbits. It varies between 4 to 24 minutes each way! Operators on earth therefore don’t dynamically control the rovers. Programmed points to visit and visual scans etc are sent but the rovers are autonomous to a large extent.

It also had active volcanoes and a thicker atmosphere. Only later did it lose all these and turn into a global desert. So, there's no wonder that Mars looks like some deserts on Earth

    i have done a lot of driving on sand .only wet or damp sand will show the tread pattern of a tyre.very rarely will this happen on dry sand .but there mars rover shows tread marks very clearly where it has driven.

      So what qualifies you to know or understand the constituency of Martian ground matter. When will humans stop comparing things on Earth to what we find on other planets. Look at the temperatures, winds, atmospheric pressures, chemical compositions, minerals, liquids and just about everything else that we fnd. They constantly bang on about the need for liquid water to sustain life. Maybe life as we know it, but maybe there are life forms that need liquid Methane to survive, or others that eat sand, or suck the silica out of rocks, perhaps the first Alien we see will have 12 legs and no skelton, Maybe they will melt at temperatures above -100 degrees or xplode in atmospheric pressures less than 14psi. Every planet is so radically different from ours that anything is possible and we need to open our minds to the many other possibilities that could exist out there. Here's a question, all those apparent erosion marks that some claim were left by liquid water that once flowed on Mars, well my mate Tommy says he has irrefutable proof that it wasn't liquid water, but rather millions of tiny M & Ms that flowed as rivers and carved out the channels in the rock, prove im wrong.
      Unless your mate Jimmy has irrefutable proof to the contrary that is.

      Go watch the old myth busters show about the moon landing. They cover this because people said the same about their footprints. It’s because it’s all very fine sand, more like powder than sand. Think about driving though flower, that would hold your tyre treads.
