it IS the greats...my late mother-in-law, for whom I had the hugest possible regard, had a bit of a weakness for Fats...loved him in fact - but I always went for Bix...
the best TV series ever made............"It could have been the beginning of a New Era if..............." PLUS I was deeply in love with Miss Swinburne
Kenny Baker played the cornet. The whole Beiderbecke soundtrack was done by The Frank Ricotti All Stars and Kenny Baker. You can hear the soundtrack c.d here. ua-cam.com/video/WN5vs0tb9hE/v-deo.html&ab_channel=MontyLugs
I loved this series. Clever, humane and funny. Watched it Sunday evenings before the week ahead as a new teacher 👩🏫
Barbara Flynn fantastic in this Totally convincing as a teacher!
Brilliant! Probably started my interest in Jazz. Sunday nights, aged 14. As for Barbara Flynn, stunningly pretty! Still is, like Diana Rigg et al.
Shame she got corrupted by the method acting lot, now all she seems able to do is shouty Irish woman.
A very funny series, quirky and well written. Unusual characters abound. Well worth watching.
Up there with the greats
