The military can't take such steps without formal approval of the Government. You may argue that then how do military take steps above constitution. Such incidents are always low level. But actions that have implications to Pakistan's foreign policy are always done my approval of the Government.

The last Chief of Army staff that stayed in Pakistan after retirement was Yahya khan. that was 50+ years ago. When the military chief knows he is going to escape the country as soon as he retires after an extension. Why would he even care about his country and it's sovereignty. @09:41 when you weaken every institution in the country how will you expect the politicians to respond back.
No, Mirza Aslam Baig is also in Pakistan and never went out. The same apply to General Khakhar. Other than that all were Agents, include Aslam Baig according to Zia ul Haq son and Akhtar Abdur Rehman son but still he stayed.

Keep in mind majority of the drone stricts were carried out by the permission of ISI. When there were hard target they were calling to NATO comms for the drone strikes.

1- NATO accidentally or illegally entered PAK and started firing
2- PAK check post returned fired, 2 helicopters shot down, 12 NATO soldiers dead
3- NATO called air support and drones attacked, with in minutes 2 checkpoint bombed and 24 PAk soldiers died
4- NATO went back and reloaded ammo and came back to destroy 3rd checkpoint but it was already evacuated
5- PAK officially shutdown airspace and NATO ran away for 7months ZERO activity and Billions lost in trade by NATO
6- NATO and USA apologized after 7 months and things started becoming normal.

As usual army trying to deflect attention from their own failure of duty but at least one thing he got right and accepted readily i.e 'we were sleeping' that has always been the case of all major failures in Pak army whether it be losses at Siachen glacier or india sneaking into Pak territory not once, not twice but 3 times to steal the wreckage of downed PN surveillance plane or Americans landing in Abattabad or IAF intruding deep into Balakot - on all those occasions, army, airforce were caught napping.
First step of recovery is acceptance.
We need to start accepting our incompetence, lack of intent, lack of a clear strategy.
Only then can we start our journey of betterment. Otherwise 75 more years we wait and get humiliated

You people still don’t know what really happened. What happened is something Pak Army can never admit but its not what all you extra clever people think after seeing one or two documentaries or each other’s silly comments. This is what really happened. Pak Army were on special missions to give Al Qeada targets to NATO and rescue Taliban fighters and escort them back to Pakistan. Deeply Pak Army knew The British and CIA had plans to come in this region no matter what. So plan was instead of letting NATO bomb for many months like in Iraq which was there first plans. But NATO was lured into a false sense of security that Taliban were completely finished defeated and once they put boots on ground then unleash a fresh well trained and equipped Taliban on them. So on that day some Taliban were pinned down by heavy fighting against Afgan army with NATO air support. Pak Army many dressed as Taliban went to support the Taliban and Afgan army suffered many casualties plus NATO, Canadians to be precise lost a helicopter from a stinger missile. The Americans caught everything on drone footage and the bombing of Pak Army was a revenge attack nothing more nothing less. If you really want the truth then then you need to hear it from the enemies mouth many years later. Read a book by the then NATO British commander. Enemy hidden as friends or many other literature. Also watch documentaries such as double game to find the actual truth. Or a essay written by CIA field commander saying the female ISI mastermind who fooled every single one of us. By the time we realised she has handed us low level criminals and not so useful terrorists and evacuated major Taliban fighters and figures right under our noses saying they are all Pakistani embassy workers and their translators. Worst part is one hour before we found out the truth the Pakistan military transport plane full of Taliban takes off she blew all of us a kiss. Only after an hour when we found out how we were made fools we realised what that kiss she blew to us meant

A big part of our budget is spent on army. Looking at this forward operating base and how the communication and support system is in place for our forces, it raises a lot of questions on the capabilities of our senior officers. To this day our soldiers have poor and outdated equipment, no air defence weapons at these bases, radar coverage is non existent on western border, (example how the Iranians attacked in Baluchistan), we lose our precious soldiers every day!!! Is there any accountability?
